- Complete ride-through of Snow White's Scary Adventures shot in HD in 2009.
From Disney.com:
Snow White's Scary Adventures is a suspenseful ride for big kids, teens and adults in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom theme park.
You may need an extra dose of courage for this chilling adventure into the spellbinding world of the Evil Queen from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Board your wooden, 6-passenger mine car and get ready for a journey through dark and creepy surroundings.
Suprises lie around every corner as you wander through the Enchanted Forest while Snow White's evil stepmother pursues her into scenes from the animated film.
All's well that ends well at Snow White's Scary Adventures but beware of vultures, falling rocks and grizzled old hags peddling apples along the way!
this was my favorite kid ride at disney. Hope they bring this back. its too much of a classic. And someones needs to make a worthy live action snow white film thats true to the original fantasy.
This ride scared the crap out of me when I was a kid
In loving memory of my favorite Magic Kingdom ride
(1971-2012)
This ride will never be forgotten.
But,it's now in theme park heaven.
THAT TOO! Oh my GOD, am I afraid of animatronics! But it doesn't stop me from admiring them.
I can't believe it's gone!! But I'm also so excited for the Mine ride they're putting in! THE FEELS!!
While I will miss this I can't wait to see the roller coaster.
For some people, this is creepy and scary but for me, it's a big experience with unforgottable animatronics that you can't see every day.
This ride isn't scary! It's a classic! Going to disney this weekend!!! Gonna ride!!
I cried when I was 12 years old in this ride.. I'm going to ride this one tomorrow, hopefully!
I remember going on this during one of my two visits to WDW. I was scared of this ride (and I was 10 years old when I first rode it at WDW). Now that I am 27, I enjoy the ride more every time I go to Disneyland (the Disneyland version is more scarier than the WDW version, especially when you sit in a row by yourself). Whenever I watch any video of the WDW version, I cannot help but feel lucky to have gone on it (same goes with the WDW version of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride) and now I think about the fact that my mom's cousin took his family to WDW in 2012 and that his kids would never get to experience this version. Thanks for uploading!!!
I miss this ride at Magic Kingdom!!!
i remember being 4 years old and my parents took me to disneyland. we went on this ride because i LOVED snow white. nevermind the word "scary", because she was my favorite princess. what could be scary??? and then....the queen. X___X scarred for life.
this ride scared me to pieces when I was 5. I hope it's still there when I go down in 35 days :)
Great footage! This ride scared the hell out of me when I was younger
Its my favorite ride....IM SO MAD THEY"RE TAKING IT DOWN!
I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS! :O snow white is my favorite disney princess! x( i wish i had have known........
I'm 19. I went on this for the first time when I was 9. Haunted Mansion scared me more. With Snow White, I expected dwarves, a lovely princess, a cute prince and of course, who can forget the mirror AND THE WICKED STEP MOTHER??? >_> My God... You guys on here who are posting this who can watch scarier things that are afraid on this ride... I can't believe you guys. I'm totally chicken of everything and this ride made me so happy when I was 9. I WANTED front seat.
i'm soo going on that ride next christmas
I love this ride
R.I.P Snow White ride i will always love you. 1971- may 31 2012
yep the snow white ride in disney world is gone forever
i miss disney world :(
I would always cover my eyes on this ride!!:(
I only rode this ride once or twice, in 1984. I was six years old. At the time, the ride was arguably even more frightening, because Snow White was not visible on the ride at all.
this ride always scared me, even now
Animatronic figures freak me out. I'd go one the ride regardless. It gets props for being one of the oldest rides at Disney World.
The year was 1997. It was early summer. I was three years old at the time. I remember it being a stormy evening when my parents said they wanted to find a ride so we could get out of the rain so we went on this ride. The rest is a blur but I will never forget the evil queen popping out and me being scared for the rest of the night....
This seems like such a tame ride from the front. Looks can be deceiving! I'm eleven, and I still cover my eyes on this ride. But its still a great ride, and something I look forward too.
I remember when you got crushed by the boulder at the end.
i remember i was always too afraid to go on this ride!
you missed the shot of Dopey on the bridge right at the exit waving bye to you from above
THIS RIDE MADE ME CRY ( i was like 6 )
So freaking scary poor kids who get on this ride :(
when you said " they lived happily ever after" i said it at the same time to my little sister... i freaked out
This ride scares me, I have been to the Anaheim Snow White ride after the first World of Color, the ride was so scary it triggered my deep fear of animatronics and the atmosphere was so dark I literally was scared.
A lot of people complain about the witch and the overall ride being scary. That's what makes it great! Look at Mister Toad's Wild Ride - you end up in hell at the end. You don't even resurface. You're just in hell, then bam, "please exit to your left when your cart comes to a complete stop". In my opinion, those rides are the best. Makes it feel like Disney doesn't HAVE to be just for kids that happened to drag their parents along. Us slightly older people can enjoy it too!
I cried on this ride.
Deary me I just jumped in my computer chair at 0:53!! Didn't expect that! I was just thinking to myself I used to be really scared of this ride at Disneyland Paris, not been on the one at Walt Disney World though. . . . yet =D
OMG.. I can't believe I'm saying this but... I'm actually more scared of THIS ride than The Haunted Mansion! (O_O scary witch is the worst part!)
I love it
Everything else in Fantasyland is very child-friendly. But, I heard that a lot of little kids ages 5 and under were afraid of Snow White's Scary Adventures because of the Wicked Witch junping out at the mine carts. I've been to the Magic Kingdom 6 times, and I really recommend Peter Pan's Flight!
Rumor has it that WDW will close this ride sometime in 2011. The ride building will be gutted out and will temporarily be used as a meet & greet area for the princesses. After a permanent meet & greet is built, a new dark ride ( unknown theme) will be built.
I had nightmares about this ride
i miss this ride so much
This is the ride I remember going on as a kid! The only part of it I don't remember is the skeletons in the dungeons. (Maybe I was too small at the time? Or I was busy looking out for the witch? I dunno....)
the one is disneyland scared me all the time. i don't what it is about this ride that makes it the scariest one in fantasyland...
I was a kid when I went on it. I was more afraid of The Haunted Mansion.
This ride is creepy. Even now, 8 years after I last went on it, I would get creeped out.
good snow white
1:55 I remember when I was little I was just thinking PLEASE LEMME STAY WITH THE DWARFS!
There Used To Be More Scenes With The Old Hag But Moms Complained it was to "Scary" >. >
ive been to disneyworld 10 times and ive only been on that ride like 4 times. IT SCARES THE CRAP OUTTA ME! and im 12 . . .
IM 27 and my 4 year old son cried on this and when he cried i remembered crying on this when i was four and i told him nothing can scare u honey he said thats not TRUE!!
@metademetra The California version of the ride is staying put with no plans for closing. The Florida ride is scheduled for closing sometime in the near future.
See, at Disney World, you can tell it is scary from the title of the ride. At Disneyland Paris, it's called "Blanc Neige et les Sept Nains", which is just a translation of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. It SCARED me.
i live in cali and i always wanted to go to this ride and when i heard its gone i had to watch this....why isnt the disneyland one good as this
@Sakurasaga The rumors are true. Snow White's Scary Adventures is closing for good in the near future. However, Disney is planning a new 7 Dwarf's Mine Train coaster in the new Fantasyland Expansion. The concept art looks very promising and looks more like an upgrade of the present ride instead of a replacement. Snow White, the Dwarves and the witch (and possible more characters) are going to be included It should be completed sometime in 2013.
Very nice....
@ccel00 Have you ever seen the movie? Or even read the original tale? Or understand the concept of the story at ALL? The movie is dark. It is the darkest Disney princess movie. The ride captures the darkest sides of the movie. That's why it's such a classic.
@haloworn2 I know right it's so scary...but i love it!!
all of my friends told me this ride was scary even though we in middle school
@33Keith33 This... Unfortunately is true. It was announced today that a Snow White Mine Ride would be placed in the new Fantasyland Forest, right across from Snow White's Scary Adventures. The showbuilding housing this ride will be turned into a Meet&Greet called "Princess Hall". The artwork the mine ride is beyond beautiful, but I'm positive the ride won't capture the horrifying, yet beautiful, scenes of this ride.
So sad to see that they closed this ride to replace it with a mine train roller coaster when they already have one in Frontierland (Big Thunder Mountain)
Not my fave ride ever, but an excellent POV of it
me and my best friend went on this and at 0:52 we screamed like idiots xD
I'm not sure if the ride should be taken down. I'm sure the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will be great, but it's sad that this ride will close in 2012.
i was scared shitless when i was little
@MrRealityCheck123 Disney's for everyone! :) Happy early Birthday, hope you have fun!
@samanthasinging17 I know. However there are plans for Seven Dwarfs Mine Coaster Ride for next year.
i work here and kids alwayssss come outt cryingg
The one in Disneyland ca is hella scary, the queen sneaks up on you it scares me so badly
when i first went on this ride i was 6, and my big sister said it wasnt scary but when i saw tht creepy lady i was like crying. But now im planning on taking my little cousin.
My sister's car was "stuck" on this ride for about twenty minutes right when the witch pops out at you in the woods. Traumatized? Oooooh yeah.
@Sakurasaga I'm going in late January. Hopefully I'll get some straight answers by then.
@Sliderbleautwo magic kingdom. if i remember correctly its by the carousel.
I sat on the outside and the queen turned around from the mirror as the hag i jumped and my mom playfully said ahhhh
@Blu923the2nd I suppose that time will tell but I'm hopeful about the new Dwarf mine train. The only problem that I had with this ride is that it was too scary for most younger children. Many times I saw little kids crying their eyes out as they exited the ride (of course, the ride used to be much scarier). Overall, I see the mine train as an upgrade of the present ride.
@robert779 It's not closed yet, not until May 31st. But I don't see why it's a big deal that this is closing, this ride has had pretty much no one on it every time I've been there since 2005, so obviously it's just not popular anymore, which isnt' that hard to believe because it kind of sucks. I can't wait for the new Seven Dwarves roller coaster to open, that ought to be awesome!
AN ALLIGATOR, YOU SEE IT?!?
tht ride is so jurcy when i went on it! XD
when I rode this ride the witch never turned around at the beginning thumbs up if it never turned around for you until you went on it the second time!
I'm going to Disney world today
Then you haven't seen The Haunted Mansion or that one with the Yeti... THOSE are SCARY. Snow White... I was 9 years old when I first went on it. I WANTED the front seat. I still would. And I feel like laughing when the queen turns around to face us. And I'm scared of Chucky, I'm scared of clown movies, I'm scared of living dead, I'm scared of dying, I'm scared of poison, I'm scared of car accidents, I'm scared of falling, I'm scared of nearly EVERYTHING.
@Etienne397 Not yet, not until May 31st
i know it's suppose to be a kids ride but it is a little scary for the little ones. just saying but i love this ride no matter what(: i'm gonna be 20 saturday coming up which is the day i'm going to disney for my birthday idgaf i'll ride the kids ride, i'm not the only one(:
It's sucks that it was replaced at disneyworld by a princess meet and greet :(
we got stuck at the aligators when i was 5 but the lights turned on and i saw that they were 2 aligator shaped trees with lights on them
How did they get the witch to change in the mirror like that
this ride used to traumatize me as a little kid..
i been on Yeti i like it & i been on The Haunted Mansion it was scary & i always been scared of the evil queen & i only seen cute clown movies & i love them
@princessslm1997
ya it is in disney world if ya knew that thumbs up
3:05 Ahhhh, this is the real Snow Whi- wait what it's the end of the ride! That was the only non scary bit!
is this the ride that some people tried to steal an apple from ?
@SegaGenesisFan115 yeah Peter Pan probably gets the best reviews because it doesn't have anything scary, and it flies. I grew up going to disney world 4 times a year. And at the age of 20, snow white still scares me for some reason. haha... Peter Pan is great.
Oooh! Can you tell us if its Speiling Peter or Huggy Pan?!?!?! :D ... Or is he still working there? Because both of them stopped working there if I'm not mistaken... :'( And I didn't get to see either of them in person (since I haven't gone yet)...
Lol I read creepypasta so when I saw scary I though "omg I gotta see this!!!" Now I realise this is more for 8 year olds at oldest (but it looks cute)
+creepypastashinigami This is the watered scary version of the ride, from 1971 into 1994 the ride is so scary without Snow White because you were Snow White in the original version. There are few some of videos of it in TH-cam.
the witch at the ride used to scare me a lot.
It's too bad they took this out, it was even better than the one at disneyland.
