I've received this model! You are absolutely right about the painting and finish - they are brilliant, no flows at all (except maybe the matt black parts that have a couple of small raised dots). The color is lovely: it is light brown with metal bits, it is darker and more brown in comparison with gold. I also like that the chromed wheel archs and the edgings of the side windows are not separate plastic details but are parts of the metal body - this makes them look more accurate. The motor is good. However, the alternator flies in the air: while the belt connects the front part of the alternator with the motor, the back part of the alternator (that should be attached to the motor in reality) is not connected to the motor, so literally flies in the air. I don't understand why nobody noticed that during all the time the model was produced. The bottom of the model is very detailed, I especially like the wires. The suspension details look good, however they do no actually amortize. The dashboard is just a sticker instead of real 3D widgets. Overall, this may be the best 1:18 Plymouth Hemi Cuda up to date, and its painting and finish are definitely one of the best by ACME.
Congrats on the new model! Acme/GMP have been making these models for years and they are ever improving. Wait until you see my next review, I think you will be very impressed.
I just bought this awesome looking car with the help of your review. Should be here in a few days and I’m really looking forward to it. ACME is honestly becoming my go to brand for diecast. I’m big on the replicated hood hinges vs ugly dog legs, carpet, seat belts, opening glove box and trunk details. The price point is great on these guys, cause I find you spend more trying to find (the hard to find) “authentics” versions of Autoworld diecast to get those details. Then there’s Autoart who don’t even do metal bodies anymore and basically priced me out from them.
@@diecastden It sure seems to be, although, I realized one little thing after I ordered it. Yours is the “vinyl top”. I ordered the painted top version 😂 but meh. Still gonna be a kick ass model!
I think it's not simply old tooling. I have just one muscle car diecast, Z28 Camaro from ERTL/American Muscle. It was a steal back in the day, and back in the day was 11 or 12 years ago. Moving backrests, antenna, working suspension and drive shaft, and the engine way better than the Millenium Autoarts from that era. I sometimes wish I was more into these cars... But truth to be told, as awesome as they are, they all look more or less the same.
Lovely model! And I have a few questions: is the model's bottom made from plastic or from metal? Also, when we look at the opened motor, there is a silver cylinder-shaped part at the left connected by drive belt. And the question is: is there a pivot or other attachement that statically connects this cylinder-shaped part to the motor, or is this cylinder-shaped part kind of flying in the air connected only by the drive belt?

The bottom is plastic and the piece I believe you are referring to is the alternator(?). If so, it is connected to the motor.
Nice collection I love that Nissan r390 GT1 can you review it one day
Consider it done! look for it in the near future!
@@diecastden thank you
