Even though the Pteranodon will always be my favorite pterosaur, the Quetzalcoatlus is still a pretty terrifying pterosaur.
It might as well have been an ancestor to the kaiju Rodan!
I'm guessing Quetzalcoatlus doesn't like planes & Pteranodon aren't a fan of parachutes.

Call it a trope or a cliche, but something terrifying happening right after someone says everything's all good I feel was one that was well-utilized here, especially in this scene.
Even though Dominion wasn't that good, I do agree that this was one of (if not the) scariest scene.

@@complex2live It adds the ‘Prologue’ in at the beginning, plus there’s better pacing and a few added scenes that give certain human characters (mainly Dodgson) more development.
@velociraptor4you3291 that is one of the few main things I didn't liek about Dominion, is they did nothing (in the theatrical version) to make us care about Dodgson. It also made me more mad because, I knew the original Jurrasic Park was based on a book. However, I didn't know Lost World was as well, and Dodgson was the main villain of that book because he is the one orchestrating everything since the first movie (the guy who told Dennis to teal the embryos).
The Quetzalcoatlus is a flying reptile, not a dinosaur.

Exactly. Cruising speed for the C-119 is around 200 MPH or 170 knots. Very hard to believe that this creature could sustain anywhere close to that kind of speed.

Fun fact: When I asked Jack Ewens, the man who owned the DPG and Dinotracker website also owned by Universal, about the Quetzalcoatlus catching up to a 200 MPH flying boxcar, he compares it to the Peregrine Falcon, the fastest flying bird on the planet, able to catch up to a plane similar to Kayla when swooping down. I’m guessing the in-universe Quetzalcoatlus is the fastest flying animal in Earth.

There was a movie called Genesis II in the 1970s they had a subterranean shuttle that remarkably resembles the shuttle that they use in Dominion.

Could Quetzalcoatlus really tear through a metal plane like that? Pterasaurs were strong aerial predators but they were still fragile like any bird is
They weigh around 150-200kg so no they couldn’t bash the plane. What I’m even more surprised about is how the quetzalcoatlus managed to stay aboard the plane considering they’re built more for standing on flat surfaces than grasping or climbing round or vertical surfaces.

from the start to finish the black actress has that im more badass than these dinosaurs look on her face, like u cant see her in fear at any point of the movie. its so brave and amazing. to put things in perspective even Arnold showed fear in Predator. todays movie industry is completely and totally lost and beyond saving.
