The Bay of Biscay can be quite challenging... it good that you have time to wait for the right time to go. I loved seeing the Dolphins. Great episode, as always. :-)
Must say, that was some mighty awesome music to go along with an awesome sail. The sunset and views of a rising and brilliant moon during the night were over the top!
This is why I follow you two; not for the climbing, but for the beautiful sailing ... and wonderful friends onboard. I have to admit, Dan's title had me wondering whether or not we missed something over the past nine months...😏 I loved everything about this episode.
Hi guys. Fun fact for you. Moana in Nz Maori and other Polynesian languages means ocean. Kai means food. So catching fish, is known as Kai Moana here in Nz. Loving your channel. Thanks for sharing. Take care. Until next time atb.
Guys, you are the best. I love you from the very bottom of my heart. Hope to see you together forever. Umma is sailing with the power of love and not the wind.
I don't know about the Uma crew, but of all the scary possibilities like roping up cliff faces, having little crew members or cliff diving....I would have to choose the least scary, diving off cliffs into the water!
K that chair hammock for a baby is genius... Such a good 'family in a small space' hack! Baby gear takes up so much space, and essentially having a baby swing that can be folded up and stashed away would be amazing...
Omg!!!! That foot massage technique is so BOMB! My wife is a Registered Massage Therapist, she’s done that move where y’all have your hands on both sides of the foot and go back and forth… Pro Move! Fo Sho!
I can totally see Kika & Dan becoming parents…💖 Both of you have such beautiful qualities of human decencies and positive minds, the way you guys live your lives shows that you will handle with love and kindness along with always logical and spiritual smartness whatever and however the life gives you guys 👍
A sleeping baby is a happy baby, is a slice of heaven on earth! I'm now an old man but there is still NOTHING that beats that innocence and contentment. Great art, sport, history, science, sailing, travel, psychology or any other -ology you care to mention; all are great, fulfilling etc. But a happy & contented baby (asleep) is another level of happiness altogether. Congratulations to the parents It made up for missing some of the wonders of the world in Brittany - the Carnac stones can be seen as just another bunch of stones or a deep mystery and fascinating step in human progression. The world is full of great sights and we can't see it all: the Mediterranean beckons - sun, sand, parties, food, culture, history etc etc
It has been over a year since I watched you, great to see you are still going. Montreal Canada . 👍note Montreal is a Island so surrounded by water and ice in the winter🤣
Hi guys 👋😎 Wurzel here from NZ 😉 I have been busy playing catch-up with ur Channel (Ep 8 Nrth Atlantic crossing currenty) But I periodically jump fwd to check out ur more recent vids to see where u r up to. Back in 1978 I took a coach tour thru France and Spain so I am Familiar with the Bilbao and Donostia - San Sebastian regions. Heavily-armed Spanish Custom Officers boarded our coach in San Sebastian and thoroughly scutinised all passenger's travel docs - Bit of an eye-opener!! We heard constant gunfire during the night up in the hills above Granada! (Basque separatists making their presence known!!) Further South the influence of 9th century Moorish Architecture is truly breath-taking. The Alhambra Palace is a must-see!!' Off the beaten track' the Spanish way of life has remained virtually unchanged for centuries so is indelibly memorable and enchanting. I'm guessing you guys don't get much time to explore inland, which is a shame 'cause there is so much to see of Spain - it's like stepping back in time and quite surreal at times!! Flamenco music, dance and song 💃🕺is my gig so I was in my element in Southern Spain. Anyways continue Enjoy ur travels and stay safe. 👍Ur videos are awesome to say the least. 👏I share some of them with my facebook friends and encourage them to pass on your inspirational adventures🙂🙃🥰
I think I totally understand the ineffable awe that sunsets and moonrises inspire cannot be captured by camera that you did a great job giving us an idea of what you were experiencing. Also love the dolphins also love y’all’s little family.
I have seen the moon rise while the sun sets only 3 times in my life: on the Greyhound bus in Salt Lake City Utah, on the train in Pittsburgh PA, and in Kamloops BC on my way to cancer treatment. ( It was so significant that time!)
As always I enjoyed your post, and the quests, sunset, moonrise also dolphins 🐬 the hammock chair fabulous. You guys always surprise and the warmth of your combined characters is why I watch. I have always heard that The Bay of Biscay has always scared me, so happy that crossing went smooth. 😄 thanks guys.
The ocean anywhere in the world CAN be awful in the wrong weather, or a dream on the right window. It’s just about having patience and waiting for favourable conditions.
You missed some beautiful places along the French coast down to La Rochelle. Watch the North coast for crab pots and also bolt holes when the wind and weather is bad. Nice sail down there though.
No!! not the music ending the episode. I just settled in eating my pretend Ramen meal. 😊🤣 So good. Love that your friends drove all that way to see you.
Awe man! You cut too short! I was all ready to start watching the movie with you guys! 😂 have you posted your ramen recipe anywhere? Id love that and also a better look at your projector setup❤️ Great video🎥 as always!
Awh, that was one to smile all the way through. Good job. I loved being on the water when the sun was setting and the moon rising. I called that time "The Magic Moment." For it seemed the fish came alive. Nice film.
Perfect!... Everything about this episode was absolutely perfect... And so happy you could hook up with your friends Italy, and such an adorable little girl and baby onboard...Plus it doesn't get better than Dan's delicious cooking for dinner..💖
Amazing mates! We Live very near of this harbour. If you are still around should be great to show you some climbing areas around! Enjoy Basque lands!! Keep in touch!
Another great and so enjoyable episode. Please keep them coming. As to your choice of climbing gear ID colors, I assume you both got your Architecture degrees from The Georgia Institute of Technology, but you chose their arch rival The University of Georgia's colors (Red and Black) "Go Dawgs!"
Hi guys I really love and appreciate you both you always put a smile on my face because of the love you have for each other and sailing I love your adventure and all the fun you have together on UMA , Cliff from Logan City Queensland Australia
Biscay sailing when calm is perfect condition as it can be interesting in rough weather. I haven’t been further south than Brest whereas John did a yacht delivery for a friend to Rochfort south of La Rochelle.
Your trip across Biscayne Bay sure is a contrast to that RAN Sailing did early in the season. They picked the best of bad days and still had a rough trip across.
A beautiful sail to a beautiful place with beautiful friends, that become family! With a beautiful movie an Ramin to die for.... Sounds like the best night ever guys!! Sendin wittle hugs an love to the wee ones.. An big love an hugs to the adults... Fare winds and following sea's guy's ✌🏼💗😊❣️
Totally gorgeous filming. Love the dolphin sequence
Yeah their cinematography skills have gone through the roof. It defiantly sets this channel apart from many others.
Right? I want so badly to see dolphins like that
Calm seas and clear skys.... best way across Biscay. 💙⛵
Great to see little one slung in a hammock and great to see you with friends.
I love how Uma is perfect for just about anything, including movie night with friends and their kids.
The Bay of Biscay can be quite challenging... it good that you have time to wait for the right time to go. I loved seeing the Dolphins. Great episode, as always. :-)
Makes my heart sing, seeing you both having fun. It's my favorite movie of all times.
I don't know why, but your videos are so much more entertaining than other videos. These night recordings are really creative.
Must say, that was some mighty awesome music to go along with an awesome sail. The sunset and views of a rising and brilliant moon during the night were over the top!
Back to sailing with beauty of sunsets and full moon nights. Great company when you two have been two for so long.
Tears to my eyes. I recall sailing with my now 42 year old when she was 6 weeks. Best sail ever.
What fun, cute, and happy ending to this week's step. Another great Sailing Uma Production. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Wow, their sub count has jumped dramatically this year. I thought it was 200k not that long ago.
This is why I follow you two; not for the climbing, but for the beautiful sailing ... and wonderful friends onboard. I have to admit, Dan's title had me wondering whether or not we missed something over the past nine months...😏 I loved everything about this episode.
Excellent photography of the dolphins at the bow 🎉. Thank you mucho ❤
what is the best on other people's kids? you can give them back when they start crying! beautiful video time and time again.
Oh, did I need a Sailing Uma episode tonight, after a lousy business trip . . . thank you both ⛵️❤️🎶
Virtual hugs from the Uma community
No you didn't!
Excellent! Kids are not afraid to tell the truth even she is having fun eating!😂😂😂👍👍👍
i really enjoyed the 15 minutes of lighthearted delight and happiness in these weird times.
Thank you very much !

Beautiful, that was a perfect sail across Biscay. Fabulous movie night with friends, it doesn’t get better. Andy UK
That is the calmest crossing that I have seen on any channel. You certainly timed it right!
I don't know about the Uma crew, but of all the scary possibilities like roping up cliff faces, having little crew members or cliff diving....I would have to choose the least scary, diving off cliffs into the water!
That was lovely! Beautiful imagery and a great hang with great friends. Living your best life :) Thanks for that! F

The ball can't see the park anymore, that is how far you hit it out of the park. Amazing episode!
Another great sail! The family that paints together stays together! LOL! Beautiful!
What a great sail that ended with a lovely evening. Living your best life!
Baby cuddles are always good…. Thanks for sharing this moment between friends. Yes that is an AWESOME MOVIE!!!!!!!!

Kika showing the black nail at 4:51 could be the thumbnail of this video.

You guys need to keep the Uma story go on for ever, next generation please:)
Thanks for another great video, now I'm going to study up on Ramen bowls. I think that I have been missing out.
That was so cute, seeing you all hangout with this family and their kiddos. 🥰💫💖
Shh! Don't tell Kika I've never seen Moana :-)! What a lovely sail, great shots of the Dolphins! That hamock has so many uses!
No!! not the music ending the episode. I just settled in eating my pretend Ramen meal. 😊🤣 So good. Love that your friends drove all that way to see you.
Tremendous(awesome), wonderful to have a baby on board. Good health to you all, many thanks for a real lift up!

Whenever I leave an anchorage I blast We Know the Way. It’s become sort of my little tradition
Love love love this! Good times.
Wow! The Big Theatre experience - and with little ones. Full of surprises you are.
Good to have visits. Children are one of the best things in life. They mean happiness.
Absolutely sparkling job guys. You make everything come alive and make me wish I were 40 years younger. Ciao
I so needed this. Much appreciation for the blissfulness of this step. Bellissima!
That was a good weather window, the bay of biscay is notorious for cross seas and breaking waves.
Amazing mates! We Live very near of this harbour. If you are still around should be great to show you some climbing areas around! Enjoy Basque lands!! Keep in touch!
A week with Uma is more sheer beauty than many experience in a lifetime.

Biscay sailing when calm is perfect condition as it can be interesting in rough weather. I haven’t been further south than Brest whereas John did a yacht delivery for a friend to Rochfort south of La Rochelle.
