I'm a budget hobby photographer and I purchased the R100. I love the R100. I upgraded to the R100 from a Canon 5D Mark III, and Canon Rebel T7. I bought the mount adapter and use EF lens on the R100. I have a 100mm EF lens, and a 24-104mm EF zoom lens that I use on my R100 via the mount adapter.
Thank you Eric for your review. I like the look of the R100, it has enough features for me. I'm waiting and hoping that Canon will release some interesting but affordable RFS lenses for it.

Yes probably millions of people will learn to take photos on this camera over the next decade. It is the rebel series for the 2020s
Without touchscreen this camera is worth €$250 .
Touchscreen is not a big deal.
