Rimowa created that bag for a good reason. SECURITY! I had zipper luggage before and my luggage was ripped off and things stolen at Heathrow airport. Since then I never bother looking at zippers. So do you prefer safety or filling crap in your luggage? I choose safety. If cant travel light.. buy extra weight allowance. Cant afford few bucks more? Go backpacking instead.

no advantage with plastic rimowa over cheap samsonite + plastic will crack. so IF rimowa then aluminium. its nuts to pay 1000 dollars for a piece of plastic.
how long have you had the trunk for, not sure to get the plastic cabin or aluminium and how many times have you used the plastic for? i am scared that the PC shell will crack...
Had it for 5 + year and it’s very well traveled. I took more than 100 flights in 2019 and I’m a top level with an airline so that gives you an idea of how much I travel

And about this German luggage brand, which was quite utilitarian until French luxury giant LVMH bought them in 2016. Though the look is cool, there have been complaints that the final product is not up to the quality standards described in their marketing. And thats what this video is: marketing. And to me at least it is not persuasive.

I hate zipper so I got the Rimowa trunk in aluminum though. Plastic looks cheap. I don’t like looking cheap.
