I took the arcane build saint used during the return to yarnham event EXACT same stats and got the uncanny parasite on it. I actually farmed up the gems for it but that build at level 59 hits like a truck i've 2 shot people with regular attacks. 30 arcane is MORE than enough for a parasite twink so all he would have to do is farm the gems.
Nothing is more satisfying than hitting someone with a charged R2 follow up. The church picks transformed R2 follow up damage is devastating, I love it.

Today, my level 42 character was getting constant invasions with only about 30 seconds of wait time, in Hemwick and Cainhurst. Same thing with my level 64 character in Yahargul.
I love the Holy Moonlight Blade so much, it's not only functional but also just so fun and cool looking. Arcane builds are in my opinion the most fun to play as.
YES, FINALLY, SOME BLOOOOOODDDD I'm still invading in BB to this day. Invasions are consistent at level 65 if you wanna do slightly higher level, specifically after and at Byrgenwerth. Invading in Yahar'gul is also delicious if the mobs are all alive, especially those three insane hunter NPCs. I made an ARC/STR character in like, maybe two days? You can do most of the work in one day if you got the time. You don't even need to use exploits or anything to upgrade your main weapon (or maybe even 2 weapons) to a decent level if you have the DLC, because they give you twin shards and chunks. I think BB pvp and invading was judged and memed on way too quickly. It's great. It's my "main game" as far as fromsoftware pvp goes. So my main mission as an invader is to kill all the coopers first before fucking destroying the host. It makes things more challenging, especially when you're up against the softy helper twinks. I highly suggest that to anyone that wants to get into BB invading or even just trying it out. Lengthy comment, I'll shut up now. I just love BB so goddamn much. HAMSTER, AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY~~
Well, to no surprise, it can take a while before you jump into an invasion depending on the place you invade and your level. Go no further than the 60-ish range if you want to level up more. But to answer your question: yes, it's still active, not "dead" yet at all.
I think what it is and what the people complaining probably won't admit is that they can't beat the bosses or go through the old hunter's dlc at such a low level.
Most of my builds I use for invasions in this game are between BL50-70 and none of them have ever even touched a chalice dungeon. Just farm the Winter lanterns on the bridge in the Nightmare of Mensis for some cursed 20% physical up and you're good to go!
I know the comment is a little late. But I wanna add my experience. With maybe 3 or 4 hours farming in TOTAL (wintern lanterns by mergos loft middle for gems and werewolfs in upper cathedral ward for chunks, ofcourse not all in one session) I was able to fit 8 (!!!) weapons ALL with 3 times *good* 19,8 percenters (no durability or nornal atk decrease) gems and got them all to +8 and one to +10. I only did a single chalice dungeon (false depth pthumerian) to get a Burial Blade before NG+. If you stick to two or three weapons, youre gonna be done with a shit wrecking build in no time. It took me maybe 3 or 4 days to complete the build.
I agree, bro. I do the chalice dungeons just to filler out the playthrough and get some extra blood Echoes. Plus I love the level design of most of the dungeons. Creepy vibes with ambushes everyone. Haven't been invaded yet in the dungeons though.

Protip: lower pthumeru (3rd chalice) layer 1 watchers boss drop radials from 16.5% up to 18-fucking-%. Slap the 18% droplet (fits any shape) from mensis and there you go, insane dmg for low level invasions. Mensis is of course endgame, but lower pthumeru can be reached with a +4 straight outta blood starved beast.
Saint where do you even find PvP? I just played BB for the first time this week and i got maybe 3 total invasions going through the entire game and purposely trying to invade like every area. Then at BL 60, and then at BL100 i spent an hour trying to invade both nightmare frontier and mensis and i never found anyone
Call me the exception, but I don't find the Chalice Dungeons to be tedious, I actually look forward to seeing what a root will give me. And just going down to Depth 3 is usually enough to give you what you would need for any invasion at BL60 or below.
I definitely don't disagree with anything you say in this video, killing newbies with doomsday weapons isn't exactly thrilling. BUT, if I'm up against someone that's fully twinked out, I can't stand losing to them just because they out-geared me. After you've done them once or twice, the chalice dungeons takes just a few hours to do and then maybe 2 hours or so of watchers farming for the phys gems. I'm not a PvE guy by any stretch, but doing the chalice dungeons at low level is by far the most fun (least boring?) PvE in the souls series. Also a tip for anyone who want's more PvP in Bloodborne, after your character is finished, go into NG+, you can boss skip Amelia, Shadows of Yarnham and The One Reborn and leave all the optional bosses alive, so you can get invaded while waiting for your own invasions.
Totally agree about the pve of the chalices, when i begin the chalice dungeons in my first (tecnically second) playthrough, i just wanted to rush all the chalices at once because I was having more fun in the chalices than in the main game. Actually, I finished all the depth 4 chalices before Rom.
idk why people bitch about the chalice dungeons, I always feel that they're a test and it's fun to use a new build against them. This is coming from a tryhard who's gemmed out on every profile.
It's fairly easy if you bring fire paper, a serrated weapon and gouge VIT early. You can even summon Valtr if you go to the woods to get the Confederate rune if you're really struggling.
I never have many issues with Ludwig as much as everyone else seems to. I killed him on a b43 using a +6 Hunters Axe with main game gems up to Byrgenwerth. It a good few tries but I managed it fine enough in a single afternoon.
chalice dungeons arent necessary, if your a physical character. physical characters are the easiest to gem and chalice dungeons honestly only squeeze out another 15-20% damage for them anything else, you need chalice dungeons to get above a total of 30% extra damage.
Haha, with story gems like 15% or 18% or lantern gems, is not big difference with chalice gems, in early areas, you know the dudes you invaded in the video may just have 7.3% gems or lower

I love your vids but sorry this simply isn't true. there are many twink builds (30% of hosts/phantoms i'd say) in the forbidden woods, yhar'gul, and nightmare of mensis, which are all the places you would be invading if you want to get an invasion within 5 min. And you can bet they all have 23%+ attack up 14+ flat physical gems with attack down vs kin/beast. if you want to contend with the "super twinks" then you need those gems yourself. otherwise you'll have to make peace with the fact that you will be dying a whole lot to them. if you can do that then that's great, and I truly mean that. Also, regarding it not being fun to two shot people, well i'd have to disagree, it's pretty damn fun. you don't even need to use the gems on your main weapon if you don't want to, you just have to have the gems as a backup on another weapon if you're dealing with a tight situation.

You don't go that level cos of op phantoms. You don't go 120 cos you will be 2-3 shot every time. All you need is the best weapon in the game (blades of mercy) +9 or +10 with end game gems.
Chalice Dungeon gems are for casuals. Oh boy you can cheese a lot of bosses so you can 2-shot some new player or a vitlet, so much skill involved there bucko!

Like saint said, it’s no fun instantly killing players. He uses lower level weapons or weapons without gems to prevent that, but goes all out on twinks and such.

Winter Lanterns in the DLC get you 22% gems and thats more than enough for non-meta invasions or duels
4 wintern lanterns after micolash give 19,8% and are also easy to farm. Even easier than DLC. And again, more than enough.

Valtr is NPC summon MVP. Use him. Seriously the most useful summon in any souls game, in my opinion.
