If Perot didn't run, H.W. would've had a second term. This idea that Perot took equal votes from Bush and Clinton is total bs. Perot split the conservative vote
Maybe, but I don't quite see it that way. If you recall, Perot actually LEAD the race all the way during the summer of 92, until he dropped out, with Clinton being in a distant third. When that happened, Clinton then gained a huge lead soon after, which he never relinquished, but the race then slightly tightened when Perot re-entered. You may also recall that Bush actually insisted Perot be included in the debates, which was something that lead to Clinton famously labeling him "Chicken George". But one thing I'll always wonder is if Perot actually could have won the whole thing, had if he not killed his own momentum by dropping out (while waiting too long to get back in), and if he had also had time to nominate a competent vice-presidential candidate, which his running mate James Stockdale was anything but!? But Clinton I'm pretty sure would've won a one on one race, with too many factors going against Bush at the time, along with the country finally getting a case of party fatigue, and with the way things were also heading for the nation in general then (mainly the economy going bad) as well.

Had Jerry Brown been nominated, George H.W. Bush would've won re-election easily.
Doubt it. Ross Perot still would have taken a big chunk of George H.W. Bush's votes.
John Q. Public it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Perot took votes equally from both parties
Maybe, maybe not. From what I remember, the economy wasn't doing too hot, and that generally helped out the challengers to Bush
The only man to ever balance a budget ladies and gentlemen.
To Newt Gingrich's credit.
@@dougr.6734 Nah.
@@dougr.6734ha! Newt fought him every step of the way
Bill is awesome, and I love how he handled all that in a calm demeanor
Bill Clinton was my favorite candidate , and I'm glad He won the election!
Accused him of money laundering. No one ever did anything about it
You have to appreciate the moment at 0:34 where Jerry Brown pulls out the Chicago Tribune to help elaborate his point on the conflict of issue with Bill Clinton. It's very rare you'll see a politician actually citing the source that helps get their point across on a debate stage. I wish that was more common these days where both sides can both agree that this specific source said this, and they, as debaters on the stage, can have a discussion about it.
2016 and Bill and Jerry are now buddies.
Yeah, makes you want to throw up.
Buddies? He endorsed HRC for prez. Doesn't mean he and Bill are buddies because he believes (rightly) that HRC is our best option for enacting progressive change.
lorie You missed the bit about business being directed to Hillary's law firm.
You also missed the bit where Hillary said she will be getting Bill in to revitalize the economy.
Lol, everybody saw that. You're not even old enough to remember this election, so settle down.
You're the genius who said Bill and Jerry are buddies now. Wrong. He endorsed HRC for president because the democratic in-party bickering is pointless, and she is now our best bet to actually have left laws passed (she is; Bernie has never passed anything) and to defeat Trump.
This is called reality. Get over it.
Unlike you, he's not a teenager and doesn't let a strained relationship blind him from the truth.
+lorie Hillary's still crooked
Clinton was so smooth in all his debates.
When people say "I miss the days when politcs were civilized, respectful, and focused on the issues" I show them this lol.
Wow. Bill Bonds (of WXYZ TV in Detroit fame) as moderator in a tough situation.
