Wes, I think this may be a stupid question from a guy (me) who knows nothing about websites. Do landing pages have their own domain, or are they attached to your main website URL address? If so, how, in terms of what the URL would look like. I know the answer is obvious to those who have designed and set up landing pages and websites; however, I'm not ashamed to come across as stupid because I'm new to this, although I understand your logic as I come from a marketing and sales background.
Betties website is based on the cognitive psychology principle of "cognitive ease" because we human beings are cognitively lazy and so are biased to information that is easy to process. Also, the Familiarity heuristic (Tversky and Kahneman.) which is triggered triggered by the mere exposure effect - Robert Zajonc. Hence, who are we going to turn to? Wes, because we get to like and trust you and you are the first person we think of because of the familiarity effect triggered by the mere expose effect - the golden rule of sales, people buy from people they like and from people like themselves. Now, where do I sign?
From $7K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.

Hey Wes, such Good content. Thank you.🎉🎉 If I may Ask, Which AI have you used for image and video generation for the website example shown on this vidoe? Thank u
I love how you treat the hero section, but I have a question about keywords/header tags. Do you make the large text in the hero section and H1, or do you use a heading tag with keywords in the subhead? I’ve always been taught to make the heading tags sequential down the page, but it doesn’t make sense to me to make the “benefit” title an H1 when it doesn’t contain your target keyword. Curious how you handle that. Thanks.
Subheading should be h1 as you can enrich with keywords. Use flex box to flip the large text and subheading order so it’s semantically correct in the html.
Just a couple of doubts here: 1) i have plenty of competitors offering:same kind of services at lower prices, if i dont describe myself as the hero with my achievements, how can i show that im offering a better service than those offering something similar (apparently) but cheaper? 2) if my navigation menu is reduced to few items, how can i huild helpful content that makes me rank higher? Ive disappeared from searches, so i can only hope to grab some attention writing articles in the form of a blog. 3) for those reasons, my website is full of info, how could i make it simpler without risking to rank even worse. I might eliminate those keywords or info that are keeping me on the web...
1) Improve your offer. Consider packaging a few items to make a more powerful package for your clients at a higher price tag 2) Ranking is based off of a couple of things not just what’s on the site. Yea you can optimize it for ‘SEO’ but Google wants to make more money so it’s going to put sponsored websites at the top and then the websites that clients tend to spend more time on. 3) Not sure how your website is formatted but if you write articles and such try adding one section at the top that encompasses them all (BLOGs) What’s your website? I’ll take a look to see if I have suggestions for you
Theoretically yes, but the main problem with lots of those types of builders is they can limit you in terms of being bound by their templates. I'd just see if they let you build using different content blocks you can put in any order you want to mimic the flow here.
Hey Wes did you create that Hero section stuff in Midjourney? Kind of a Pixar style right? Like this for a couple of my clients. DM if you need to and content always great as usual! Thanks
Hi Wes, I have been following you videos for a while. Many thanks for you insights. Could I use this video to get the message over to my clients to either decide going a professional web designer or a self generated web site with the aid of AI? PS, love Betty's yard!
@@WesMcDowellInccan you make a video like this but for product-based websites? According to what you said, we have to take a different design approach compared to the service-based websites right?
This was such a good informational video. Love how you explain things clearly as to why some things work and others don't. I still have to say it's a shame how professional behind the businesses website have to stay in a small circle of limited design and stuff because google prefers straightforward, simple and clean websites. It makes sense but still kinda sad because a little creativity display shouldn't hurt business because it can help in branding. Ahhh such a tricky thing deal with. That's why your videos bring so much information to help understand everything better.
It's not that Google prefers it... PEOPLE do. Simple and straightforward work because ppl have limited attention and they just want things spelled out clearly for them. Creativity can be weaved into it but shouldn't get in the way of sales... you're a business after all!
I like it again. But would really love these videos focused on MOBILE websites. That’s majority of our web traffic and the designs don’t flow well to mobile.
@@WesMcDowellInc I know, I’m saying in general all of your videos don’t ever really mention best methods for mobile layout. Yes the flow is the same but the screen size is so different that information and photos don’t fit together, so do you drop the photos? Do you drop the info? How do you make it feel as well thought out on mobile as you do on computer.

How does this great video apply to fashion and art sites? I mean, the pain points. Are they the same?

Hi bro, can i ask you what you do for living?
Great story telling and very nice visuals & animations. I love the 40s - 50s vibe.
Thank you!
Awesome ! I work as a media buyer and I recommend your channel to my clients who need a facelift to their website!
Thanks so much for that! Happy to help them 😊

Wes, thank you for the lovely storytelling and nice list of tasks 😃😃👍🌸
Glad it was helpful!
How did you get the hero section text to follow an angled text path with the text itself remaining upright and not rotated?
Can you show us how the landscaping website was built? What website builder and tools were used, thanks a bunch.
This isn't a how-to, its just an overview of what sections you need. I do have many start to finish tutorials you can check out tho!
Straight to the point ❤❤Thanks 😊
Do you offer a DFY service at all?
hi! What his the Url of the lawn website you mention? Thanks :)

Very insightful and clear🎉

Yes 100%

Where did the animation in this video come from? Love it!
I made the images with midjourney then my animator made it move :)

Nice Work I learn a lot of things
Glad to help
Impressively done!
Thank you!
Wondering what the URL is of that cartoon website!!!
Great information! Can this apply to product-based websites?
Almost but not quite. The way ppl buy services is just way different from how they buy products, so this is more for that purpose.

Question regarding the CTA - Get MY free stuff or Get YOUR free stuff?
Studies have shown using "MY" tends to work better, but it's not 100%
I've bought it, and honestly, you should too.
Welcome to the program Matt! Hope to see you in the live q&a!

Yep! Was just there for the day on a cruise.

Nope!
What if you don't have all the glowing testimonials yet? Will the website still work?
Wondering the same thing
Ya gotta start somewhere! If you dont have them yet, do the rest and make a serious effort to get some ASAP.
Try to sign up for your course 3 times but didn’t work
Sorry about that, are you talking about The Launchpad or the free masterclass?
Great guides 🎉

Design for the client's preference.
That's what I used to do and the sites never did a thing for them. Bring something more to the table if you want to stand apart.

"They Ask, You Answer" is definitely a book worth picking up!
It really is!
Sucks I may have to go into a life of crime in order to afford help with my website😢
Don't do that, lol... you can do it all yourself!
✔️
Betty has issues though…
We need to dig in the backyard for sure.
Why is your launchpad 6 months away🥲
😂😂😂 on TH-cam everyone is millionaire.
no but its a great place to learn things to get ahead... but i guess its easier to just site back and judge :)
Im trying to steal his subscribers!!!...
maybe... But have you made millions with it?
Between me and my students, yes.. many times over!
it would be perfect if you could have your direct mail or any other contact info...
