Hell yes, I am also wondering about the descents of those climbs: 20-25% with crazy smooth asphalt and hardly any slow hairpins. Must be a life experiene!
I know I say this a lot but olly is such a good presenter. All the new presenters are very good but I was scared we wouldnt get a new "funny guy" in with all the serious pros. The guys are great, informative, interactive and really nice but olly has that something extra. I love a good Sunday feature. Thanks guys
You guys should ask Jenson Button to go for a spin with you and do an interview while that. Would be a great way to also interview other current and former pros of any sport in a cycling related environment... would be great like a series of videos like this.
plenty of F1 drivers (former and current) ride roadbike. Kubica, Rosberg, Vettel. I've seen Norris, Verstappen and Ricciardo as well but they seem to do it rather occasionally as a part of their trening
Rajesh Mohanty I thought it was quite a good race, certainly better than the last couple of Australian GPs. I felt like Giovanazzi kind of broke up the midfield battle, particularly costing Norris. Gasly also disappointed me slightly, I felt like he could and should have been ahead of Kvyat.
I was lucky enough to be there and see the making of this video over the 3 days. It was certainly a privilege! There really isn't a big team putting this content together which is incredible considering the quality of work they create. I counted 3 guys, including Ollie which is a fraction of what I initially thought. Kudos, chapeau, way to go fellas.
Wow... GCN has come along way from three blokes sitting on a sofa. The production quality and content is just amazing. Ollie, great job young man. It also looks like your conditioning is greatly improved since the presenters raced the Angliru. Perhaps it's time for a rematch?
Superb video, Ollie! Well ridden and commentated throughout. That Jenson was there, and so gracious to take part in the filming, was an added bonus. Altogether, an excellent video. Many thanks! ;-)
A lot to like about Ollie and how he presents. Importantly he wasn't overawed by Jenson, as some of his co-presenters seem to be sometimes. Excellent video...most enjoyable indeed👍
Man these events are absolutely insanely fantastic. An amateur rider can plan his entire season around these events. I hope Haute Route puts one in Flores Indonesia. Forget about Bali. Flores would be a real challenge, not to mention spectacular scenery.
What a fantastic edit, drone filming and well thought out production. This is top notch . Ollie did a great job at sharing his experience and kept me riveted right to the end.
Looks like a great event. Love the fact Jenson got his race number (22). Had the pleasure of being his guest at Silverstone some years ago and he remains a hero of mine to this day.
Really enjoyed the video. Kudos to all involved on both sides of the lens. Love the way Ollie can talk and climb at the same time. Zone 3 with a smile. Cool!
What an incredible video! Loved watching this, top quality production and event, music was top notch aswell. Great work gcn and well done to Ollie and Jenson
Been waiting for this one! Love the recent events that you presenters are able to participate in, James' rad race, this one, Emma's cyclo-cross. Great respect for your 12th place finish, awesome job. I'm a GCN addict and don't want to go through rehab...
Wow! Awesome video. GCN produced yet another spectacular video with superb camera, sound, and dialog work. Don’t think it’s possible to like a channel anymore than I already do, but GCN finds a way to continue to outclass itself and produce fine work. Thank you.
Great video Ollie. Well done in coming 12th and to riding next to Jenson must have been amazing. Would love to give this video more than 1 thumbs up. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This looks like so much fun and pain and sun, and I love how everything is drama with Ollie. The route is drama. The climbs are drama. Other riders are drama. The music is drama. But then something good happens, like a rival needing to stop and adjust his saddle.
Love this channel and it's presenters! Every time I watch a video I just want to get out on the bike, just what I need to keep me motivated around this time of the year, especially in the current climate! Keep up the good work!
I really loved this episode. I never fancied a power meter but Ollie really brought home the value on the first climb. I have a bad habit of blowing up early in the climb, early in the day. Constantly admonishing myself to maintain a pace. But what pace? Using a power meter to define capability and set capacity thresholds and then monitor power output to avoid blow up? Finally makes sense.
Excellent stuff guys! Thanks so much for doing this one, really enjoyable video and slight shame that old Jonny "Chocolate Voice" Bevan didn't get to do a voiceover for this one... Ha ha loved the puns there Ollie, guess that you Pushed the button all the way just so that you could Galvinise your place in the GC? I look forward to seeing the GCN Mallorca videos! Cheers guys!
Nice ride, Bridgewood!! Bigup Button too, was a favourite of mine back in the day - was just reading his wiki a few weeks ago! Glad you showed him what-for though. Chapeau!
GCN Keep hitting those homeruns higher and further in terms of production values. a excellent piece of work and all around high fives to everyone who is part of it:-)
Yeah, such a massive 'home run'. Amnesty International's appraisal of Oman? 'Family members of human rights defenders faced harassment and intimidation from the authorities. Women remained subject to discrimination in law. Migrant workers were exposed to exploitation and abuse. The death penalty remained in force'. But, yeah - excellent production values. High fives!
@@maxie-gakusha Apologies for being so abrasive. My comment is more aimed at GCN and their sponsors for supporting an event in such a location. Have a good ride if you're out today :)
@@dukabear9065 well, no worries, i am also sure it was the same reason why GCN did it despite the sponsor and location cause its GCN and if you add cycling + race + multi stage + free for all + sunny place together it will be almost impossible for them to say no to the offer...heck, since its gcn then just the fact is a bike race in a sunny place enough for them to jump on it considering how UK weather tends to be. oh, and also, i have not had a used a bike for many many years cause it have never been much a reason for it and the cost outweighs the benefits....specially when i for the time being barely got enough to each pay-check^^" with that said, the next one i get me will definitely be a red canyon aero or something to that regard as if i first gonna get me something i want it to be decent :-P
Superb. Well done Ollie. Great result and your best video to date. You are at your best when it is your own voice without any of that 'Mr Voiceover Man' thing. Keep it up!
Awesome video. Been to Salalah in the south, and the inclines up the Jebel were frighteningly steep! Not hard to see why Jenson was a F1 world champ. Ollie catches him, then Jenson's racing instincts take over. Been watching for a while now - this gets my subscription.
One of my favourite videos this year! The GCN crew can make a full feature blockbuster quality movie if they try! Thanks for this inspirational video! Not sure I would do a race like this, but will consider taking my bike to Oman for a few days of superb riding. Looks like my kind of hills 👍
Really well put together video, and Olie continues to get better on his presenting, Good ride mate, and very cool to see Jenson riding, (he's Very fit!). I know there's motocross, Nascar, Indy & other drivers who use cycling as a primary fitness vehicle.

I had the chance to ride with Jenson during a gran fondo in 2011, just a few months after I’d attended the Canadian GP and saw him win by passing Vettel on the final lap. Was pretty cool to spend a couple minutes riding with him and chatting about that race, he’s a nice dude and, of course, eventually dropped me.

Someday I'll do a Haute Route, hopefully !
Joe Bearman Well go on then, what was the colour? Don't keep us in suspense ....
Great video, Ollie's a great presenter. Loving the latest raft of productions from the team at GCN!

Here in Andorra we have loads of moto riders, moto gp, who cycle and OMG! do they cycle! One, Maverick Viñales, has sponsored a cycle team!!
Dawid Hyzy Juan Pablo Montoya, Tpny Kanaan ride bikes too as part of their training. Girolami do the same.
That would be amazing!!
Yay! Jenson Button!! One of my favorite F1 drivers!
How was the Aus Gp?
Rajesh Mohanty I thought it was a good race! As a Ferrari fan I am disappointed in a way, but it was fun to watch.
First Mansell, now Button. Get Hamilton next! Go F1 Cycling!

I enjoy his enthusiasm so much. He's a great addition to the GCN team!
I think Ollie not being an ex-pro is a brilliant thing. More with him and Johnny doing these challenges please!!
Exactly! Matches so perfectly, one of the best decisions theyve made yet bringing Ollie on.
Another great video, Ollie is a great presenter, with just the right levels of wit and a touch of sardonic humour. Great work as always GCN.
