@Red Rebel__ aiming with an analog stick is hella crappy even with aim assist. it's really silly to even compare it with the precision and accuracy of the mouse.

I personally do something similar with tracer like soldier in this video. I have blink (ability 1) on L3 , having blink on the same button/joystick as running is nice, some other things for tracer I use are jump on L1 , making it easier to jump and pulse bomb on L2 , this makes it so you don’t have to lift your finger off your joystick making it a lot easier to stick enemies. Hope this helps.
this is good but on tracer, put her pulse bomb on left stick, and have her blink on left trigger. trust me its sooo much better. and you can actually stick pulse bombs easily
For people in the comments looking for suggestions, Put Mercy, Echo and Pharah's jump as LT, helps gliding whilst looking around for Mercy and Echo, and helps flying for Echo and Pharah to be easier without swapping between A and right stick like you would with Lucio

As a Lucio main I pretty much have everything default except I have my Jump bound to my right thumbstick. I do that because it helps when I'm wall riding I'm also able to look around and aim a lot better. I then set my melee button to A. A lot of people really underestimate how much you'll be using Lucio's melee so having it as an easy access button is kinda crucial. That's just my personal layout for Lucio

My fellow roadhog players. W some1 who has over 300 hours on hog, i strongly advise ignoring the roadhog bindings proposed. No offence to byw, but those bindings r horrible. Keeping hog w the original bindings is def the best option imo.
keeping all default bindings is the way to go, just play right hand claw. having different button layouts for every hero is a horrible idea all around.

I go back and forth playing Lucio on PC and PS5. Its a completely different experience, but I've noticed console players have a very difficult time hitting a wall-riding Lucio than PC players. But to be fair, wall-riding on console is more difficult to control. I also use paddles on my PS5 controller and it makes a huge difference being able to keep your right thumb on the stick while you jump.
I never had the ability to play PC Overwatch at home and whenever I did, it was no where near as fun for me than on controller even with better hardware. It's only because of preference though.
If the lucio change is too much for you, I swapped L2 and Jump a long time ago and I never looked back. Secondly if your finger is on L2 or R2, you can just roll it to tap R1 or L1. Don’t need to move your whole finger. But that lucio tip is a huge one. Definitely swap jump.
A controller with back buttons and smart triggers makes playing any console game way easier. I highly recommend a controller like a SCUF or a Battle Beaver if you're planning on taking this game seriously on console.
I swapped my melee and my crouch It's a lot easier and more convenient especially considering I haven't played Overwatch since the 2021 Lunar New Event and Instead have been focusing more on Minecraft. I would also consider putting both soldiers abilities on the thumbstick so that there's no need to swapped in close combat
Controller with back paddles. If you game on console, and you can't claw, you need one. Immediate improvement. Side note: How the hell have we not gotten more buttons on our controllers already? Paddles/back buttons by default should be the standard by now. It's been 2 generations and the only advancement we have gotten since the stick buttons has been the PS4 touchpad.
I know this is pretty generic but could you PLEASE do reaper mercy and junker queen next you don’t have to do all of them obviously everyone gonna want different hero’s

Personally I feel the default controls for Cree and Sig are good, and the most I've changed for Kiriko is swapping the primary and secondary buttons around. also to make sure "toggle healing offuda" is turned off that way I can cancel it by just letting go
I don't really play Roadhog or Soldier much so I got used to their default button layout. Lucio however I had to switch button layouts to the one shown in this video back in 2017 and have not regretted it. Lució just feels way better to play that way. Great vid!
If you want to save yourself some headaches, exchange the primary and secondary fire placements for both Doomfist and Moira. That way, each character will use the proper hand when using their attacks and abilities: Doomfist will shoot with the left trigger and use his rocket punch with the right trigger; and with Moira, she will heal with the left trigger and attack with the right. Also her orbs will be triggered the same way, allowing for a smoother experience. The only downside is that Doomfist activates his ultimate early with the left trigger, but that's something you can easily remember while playing him. Believe me, this change helps a ton.
Who uses a control like that? 👁️👄👁️ The controllers are literally made so you can use your index and middle fingers at the same time. Just using the index limits you waaaay too much
I switched jump to the left trigger for most of the heroes about 5 years ago, instantly improved my aim! Certain heroes didn't work too well, namely Reinhardt, Zenyatta, Brigitte. But increasing horizontal and vertical sensitivity helped make up for it! ^^
I often forget there are mouse and keyboard players in overwatch. Overwatch and controller go together like two pees in a pod. Even if I had a pc, there’s no way I would use that to play a game with such simple controls.

I've played on pc and you barely have any keys you need to press. Especially on overwatch but fortnite is completely different since you have a lot more controls needed.

For anyone in the comments looking for suggestions: On all my heroes (and this is going to sound and feel rlly weird at first but if you can get used to it it makes a huge difference) I’ve bound the jump button to my right stick in. It allows you to keep aiming while jumping and on many heroes such as Lucio of mercy it’s complete essential to be able to do so. It also makes you a lot better on those heroes if u bind it on all your heroes. It doesn’t take much remapping but u will have to lose instant access to your melee unless you do a lot more remapping.
changing sojourns primary fire button to her secondary fire button is actually such a huge game changer i thought it would be bad but now im playing her non stop bc the new button format is leagues better then the original one also i found myself adjusting to the new layout very quickly yes i have slep ups here and there but it makes ur sojourn gameplay way better not my ass gushing over a simple button change and writing a whole assignment ab it 💀
I'm interested how you would map Echo btns because I remapped them already but I can never press triangle on time to target enemy when they move. I also use left and right D-pad for ping system and "I need healing"
For Echo I have some weirdish settings, but once u get used to them she feels so smooth to play. Ability 1 (Flight) is the same, Ability 2 (Focus beam) is the left thumb stick, Secondary Fire (Sticky bombs) is Right bumper, and jump is Left trigger. This way u can glide in the air and still have control over ur aim as well as not using stickys everytime ur gliding with LT

Yeah its smart to do that for pulse. I have it on my left stick. And i have blink on my left trigger

I mapped all the movement abilities(tracers blink, 76’s sprint, moiras fade, etc) on the left stick cuz I find that that option makes the most sense

For mercy, putting healing on RT and damage boost on LT is so smooth. Rez on RB and Guardian Angel on LB is the best way to play!

For Switch players. Fiddle around with the gyro. If you played a lot of Splatoon, you'll understand why it's helpful for more presice aiming.
