    Forgot to mention the 'Taxi'.
    After a won team fight, Lucio’s have the ability to go back to spawn to get their fallen teammates back to point faster. Usually most important on koth maps (king of the hill). Especially necessary to get tank back fast so you don’t relinquish map control.

      I do this for my buddy who's a rein main lol if he dies and everyone is ok or I'm already at spawn I just wait on him so he's back. It's extremely important in 2 now

    • @Thighweaver

      oh this is soooooo important the amount of times ive seen lost fights cause we were waiting for the tank to come back while their team spawned together and rolled us. Then it snowballs into a stagger and GG

    Really appreciate this video. As a new player that’s started with 2, this vid is way more advanced than anything players are doing down here in bronze but there’s some core lessons to learn like protecting the other support from flankers and peeling that I didn’t really understand before. Thanks!

    Biggest thing to remember as Lucio is that your role is “support”, not healer. Don’t stay on heal the entire time. Your healing per second is so low without amp so use speed boost when it is needed!!!!!!!!

    • @Artorigold
      @Artorigold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Lucio is for sure S Tier right now and good in almost any situation. Currently Speed Boosting a Zarya/Reaper/Reinhardt has a HUGE impact in any map. The only time I would consider not picking Lucio is if you don't have a Main Healer. For example going Lucio when somebody is Locked into Zenyatta, would be a real lack of heals for your team. The best thing to practice would be your wallriding movement and then backwards wallriding, and then aiming while doing it!

    I guess I’m one of these dumb players, but the text on Lucio is incredibly vague and it doesn’t state explicitly that the healing is passive and the number represents the players being healed. I literally had to pull up the scoreboard and watch the healing number go up so I could confirm this is how the healing worked. Same thing with the boop, it doesn’t state it does damage so I had to learn in game after getting a few kills with it.

    this is for sure the most helpful overwatch guide i have watched , so thank you so much . and i would love to see a zen guide as we’ll considering lucio and zen are also my mains. i do have a question. let’s say my team and i are at a choke just firing shots and poking. and obviously we are pretty idle while doing that, should i be going for the speed boost or heal boost? i think it’s the only question and problem i have. is the more idle moments , like what do i do?

    • @Artorigold
      @Artorigold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! Most of the time you want to speed boost past the choke and get moving, communicate in voice chat something like 3, 2, 1 Ok Speeding go. However there are some times when standing around at a choke and spamming Heal can be good, the purpose of doing that would to be building your Ultimate. There are a lot of cases where this can be good such as you know you will win the game if you just win one more fight, so you just farm for 6 Ultimates that you can all use at once for the win. However most of the time just speeding on the enemy is much better especially if you guys are running a Deathball comp with Reaper + Rein! Thanks for the comment I'm glad you enjoyed the vid!

    At the beginning of every game, should I be speed boosting my teamates? I haven't been doing it as often because they tend to die quick and I need my boost to heal them, the other support on my team focuses on dpsing a lot idk why but please answer my question please and thank you :)

      Thanks for the question! Always Speed Boost at the beginning if it is a Push or a King of the Hill map! If you are on a payload or hybrid then you can save the Amp for a heal boost when your team needs it!

    I get flamed a lot for not having a ton of healing on lucio, it kind of tilts me do u have any advice on that?

    • @Artorigold
      @Artorigold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh man theres a lot to say about this subject, so I've noticed the healing numbers on Lucio are a lot lower than they used to be as well. There is a pretty good reason for that, with one less tank to heal Lucio's numbers went way down. Being able to heal 6 people at once including a 2nd tank gave him a lot more on the stat side.. However I don't think Healing is everything, especially for Lucio. In OW2 while his healing is pretty good, his BIGGEST strength is the Speed Boost. A lot of the CC abilities were taken out of the game such as Flashbang, Mei's Left Click Freeze, Brig Stun, etc etc. Meaning the Speed is even more powerful than it ever used to be with no way to counter it. So in my head sure you can just try to stay behind your tank and Heal Boost more, but the reality is the Speed Boost is INSANE. So yeah heroes like Moira are going to top the charts every game, thats just how their kits work, however your utility with Speed Boost is something nobody else can do and currently it's very broken to Pocket Speed Boost Rein or JK or any Tank really so they can do literally whatever they want to the enemy team. If you really want to heal more as Lucio, position yourself in the middle of your team, behind your tanks with your other support nearby, and really just Wall Ride less, since that causes your Aura to usually get less people. Then just wait until your Allies are starting to take damage and Heal Boost off CD and never try to do a whole lot of damage. That is the Healbot way for Lucio, but currently I think it's better to just be Speed Boosting as much as possible, it's just so OP. Just don't let the Healing Numbers get to you!

    • @Artorigold
      @Artorigold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's for sure more difficult to Boop people in OW2 than it ever was, since the Tank players who use to be the easiest to Boop imo, are now almost completely unaffected from it due to their new passive. Best way to practice the range would be against some Bots in Practice Mode. Also try to single out the Heroes with no mobility!

    Very cool. I'm a new player and support is what I like. Want to get better with Lucio and Brig. Lucio takes a lot of getting used to with just getting better at running around the map more efficiently. Brig is fun, but challenging because she has to get close and some of these teams are so tough to play with and don't push.

    • @Artorigold
      @Artorigold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brig is def a interesting Hero right now, she used to be insanely busted, but now since they removed her stun and instead gave her Bash a ton of movement, I'm still playing her often to figure out how to play her best. She used to be so strong that on Day 1 of her Release I actually played her on a Fresh new account and went 34-0 on her in Ranked and hit like 4100 GrandMaster lmao. Currently I think she is a very good hero on Push maps and King of the Hill . I'll have to do a vid on her soon!

    • @Artorigold
      @Artorigold  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The concept is Peeling, so just like you would peel a sticker off a piece of fruit, you want to peel the enemy off your other support. Lucio is one of the best at Peeling, since he can Boop the enemy away and Speed your ally to safety. Depending on how badly they are diving your other support, Peeling becomes increasingly better for your strategy!

    Look I'm not the best player most of the time I play to have fun and I hover between silver 1 and gold 5 I'm not aiming to be a plat or whatever but I do want to play Lucio better and I keep getting games where I might be 6 for 6 or 10 for 10 and I feel like I just trading or I have to sit and heal which in the end gets me killed because of slower mobility, I don't know what I'm doing wrong and would love some actual advice because I really like Lucio and want to enjoy playing him. Is it a case of my ELO he just not being viable? If the other support isn't healing I feel like I have to switch off if him and it doesn't help when team goes everywhere and don't stay tight otherwise my healing feels wasted. I'm sick of trading and I'm getting very frustrated. I want to have fun with him, he is just so cool. Please just some friendly advice I'm not looking to be the best but seeing me be equal in eliminations it deaths is upsetting and I'm at a point where I'm turning my chat off because I sick of being told I have to effectively heal bot or my healing is low when the team isn't even together. I just feel so depressed about not being able to enjoy characters I like 😔 I mainly play Mercy and Kiriko and really want to feel like I can play Lucio as an equal to them.

    • @Artorigold
      @Artorigold  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad you enjoy Lucio he is for sure really good for climbing, but like I said in my most recent Tier List video, every rank is played differently in order to climb. At higher ELO like Masters+ you get teammates that know how to utilize the Speed Boost very well. At lower ranks it has less effectiveness. For climbing to diamond you should focus on three things, Peeling, Securing kills, and Speeding the Tank. Peeling is something nobody ever does so always focus on keeping your other Support alive, and when looking to Amp Speed, use it on your tank and try to commit to kill low HP targets. Hopefully this helps, and if Lucio isn't working Kiriko is always solid for climbing!
