I find that i only have fair or decent sessions when playing with friends who are less than good at the game ( I'm around a gold level myself ). If i solo q i see diamond badges and master badges on damn near everyone.
@@shalindelta7and i wouldn't mind being paired against good players if they didnt only give me teammates with stat trackers that say "17 kills" "3 wins" 🤦🏻♂️ they are trying to make me boost new players or something
I assume myself as master/diamond and usually solo q everywhere bcuz of 40-80lvl everywhere in the game. Yeah I'm happy for new players but now for my q(I'm also day 1 player)
@mikealaniz7236 I have to either play solo or full pre made team in ranked. . . If only 2 pre-made then the 3rd is ALWAYS a bot with sub 40 total kills and gets less than 100 damage the entire match even if we win. 😅
“Good skill based matchmaking means putting players of your skill on your squad against other players of a similar skill range” They says this as they actively put me (a consistent diamond player with 3000 hours on the game) on teams with sub level 200 players in lobbies with pred 3 stacks. Yeah fucking right. Good matchmaking my ass respawn
It’s because their MMR is inflated due to placement. That’s the biggest contributing factor to MMR, they can survive all game and gain a massive MMR boost without getting a single kill. They should rebalance it so it works a bit like the ranked RP system. Where MMR is boosted based on kills and placement. Like how RP multiples based on how much kp you have at a certain point in the game. Zero kills in top 5 in ranked past plat would get you no RP, the same should be with pubs where it doesn’t boost MMR by much at all. Some kills but an early death (before top 10), should boost MMR by a medium amount. And obviously high kills/knocks and high placement should give it a huge boost. I’m not sure how well that would work but it should be better than what’s currently in place.
@@dar.k-jk they talk about how their system should work in theory but then in reality you get bot teammates who die for free against a team of competent players far too often. There's also the fact that EA has a patent on EOMM which is a system that tries to get you to play as long as possible by occasionally giving you competent teammates to keep playing in between all the games with terrible ones.
@@dar.k-jkthe other guy is right, my server is Tokyo or London, in London is night or lets say mid day i get match with decent players who want to fight not the best though on my level, on peak hours is high lvl vs low level players, sometimes people who dont know how to fight in plats, is understandable you realize their skill level in the first fight or how they play, on tokyo which is the equivalent to London server in population i get matched with people who cant kill most of the time or dont know what they are doing i played in different hours there and always is the same at night is high level against low level bots on my team who cant fight a 2vs1 with full shields against 1 without shields, sadly with my timezone i cant play london server, oregon server is full of try harders against low level on peak hours too, they need to fix the skill gap and add voice chat bans too, and well they also need to update your skill gap i stopped being good and just have fun not training nothing and they keep matching me with sweaty lobbies as if i had 1 kd when my kd went down to .25 this is the complain all pros have even Hiswattson,
@@KrisS-g1wlet this alone, if your kd goes as low as .5 from 1 they keep you in the same lobbies my kd went from .95 to .45 and still the same sweaty lobbies
Played since launch and gave it up this season when I literally died to masters almost every other game in a gold rank lobby. There’s absolutely no reason for a masters player to be in a gold lobby
Were they ranked Master at the time, or were they an account with masters badges on their account ranked Gold? There's a difference. Also, know that a S17 Master isn't a real Master. People ratted to that. I know people who don't get over 200 damage in a 30-minute match, but they're S17 Masters.
Well if we are talking numbers, apex is doing well too when it comes to money. But thats not the whole point of the game. Cod actuallly locked in and didnt post a shit game thankfully but apex needs to lock in 😢 @shalindelta7
Exactly. This is what devs didn't mention; PLACEMENT is the biggest factor of mmr. You can get top 3 with 0 dmg in a few matches in a row and your mmr will skyrocket. For what? For not shooting your gun in a "shooting" game? For being very good at hide and seek? What about being good at aiming, reflexes, decision-making, movement, rotation, creativity, communication? Their matchmaking system literally sucks and needs a huge overhaul but they still talk about their system like it only has some minor issues. I've never seen a more arrogant company.
If you had paid attention, they specified that placement is only part of the new algorithm. They're also including damage and kills when determining your skill rating. You may have ratted to 3rd, but if you have only 45 damage and 0 kills, well you fittingly shouldn't be rewarded as much as someone who made top 5 with 4 or 5 kills and 800+ damage
@@law0fsurprise868 my biggest problem is that my playstyle does not coordinate well with a lot of players and sometimes i change it. i think is the biggest factor making the games less enjoyable and is really hard to do something functionable with it.
@OuroBoros_Games A battle Royale is a competitive game. In the end, the goal is winning, how many you can send back to the lobby isn't a priority for a win, it only speeds the process up. Besides, only playing for kills makes the game monotonous, as it leads to people only rushing, rushing, rushing, and unless you're among the top 10% or so of players, you'll spend a lot of time going back and forth from lobby to game.
0:00 *One* of the biggest criticisms??? Its their *main* problem XD - With an fixed matchmaker, we would have never had an cheater problem. They would've all just been matched with each other, cause they do ridiculous amounts of damage and get tons of kills. - With an fixed matchmaker, we could finally enjoy the game again. - LTM's would finally be fun, *instead* of an absolute sweatfest and nightmare for casual players - Skins would finally be *kinda* "worth" buying, cause the game is fun to play - I wouldn't hate my life for playing this game *with* an fixed matchmaker. Luckily i already quit and i am able to enjoy life again. Just to list a few reasons here. The matchmaker is their main problem and a nightmare for every casual player, that plays for fun.
@@evening_kovacs Exactly. I want this game to be fun again, but till they fix everything, i'm out. I will stay updated about changes and come back, when they finally fix the matchmaker, but not before that, cause i don't want to hate my life for playing this game.
In d3 I saw a lobby that was 40/60 masters and preds. The skill difference between someone in diamond and some of the top 750 players (who only queue with other top players) is insane. Being pushed and killed within 7 seconds despite them not having any real information on your squad is completely defeating. Usually it's around 12 preds running through the entire lobby though. Spectating some pred with 12 kills (a squad with 20) in a diamond lobby is also just demotivating.
me and as many players says preds are not legit, most use ESP or cheats they know your information and where are you while acting like bots, is rare to see legit preds, they exist though some are cheaters
I've said it before and I'll say it again MMR should not exist in games. In non ranked modes you should either be playing purely randomly and/or based on connection where in sometimes you'll be a god and sometimes entirely useless. This helps manage expectations and also keeps the game feeling fresh from one round to the next. In ranked only your rank should be considered nothing else. sometimes someone coming in late will go around stomping some lower skilled players for a few games but they'll quickly be out of such lobbies and closer to where they should ultimately sit. Solos should have the option for a solo only queue in each game mode.
@@omegaPhix No they wouldn't as the top 1% would not be in the majority of matches simply by a lore of averages. Sometimes that would happen but it would be few and far between like it was in the beginning before mmr was added to the game.
@qwertyg3666 If all players would play the same amount then you'd see a top 1% player in 1 out of 100 legends, so every other match. But in reality you'd see them even more often because highly skilled players obviously play more aswell Edit: MMR and Skill Based Matchmaking existed from day one in Apex ;)
@@omegaPhix MMR may have been in the game but if it was in the early seasons it was considerably less strict pitting brand new accounts against 3 stacks of current preds on the regular. Resulting in people chasing and punch out preds which was a constant in pubs back in the earlier seasons. Additionally while it's true that it would be 1/100 that doesn't mean you would see one every other game. That would imply that highly skilled players would not 3 stack and it would also imply that the majority of that top 1% were playing pubs where as, in reality, if the ranked system worked and didn't pit golds with preds, The overwhelming majority of high skilled players would be playing ranked. To get to that level of skill basically requires you to be competitive and as such people with that skill set would typically want to be challenged to improve. It would obviously happen sometimes but it certainly would not be the norm.
@@qwertyg3666 SBMM was less strict in early seasons because the playerbase was huge and the skill discrepancy between the best/worst players not as big as today. "The overwhelming majority of high skilled players would be playing ranked" - Source? You just made that up. If every high skilled player only wants to fight enemies of similar skill then smurfing wouldn't exist And don't ignore that high skill players play MUCH more than the lower skill casual playerbase. If a pred-level players skydives into 50 lobbies a day then you'll see that guy more often than some casual booting up his console for 2 or 3 games. If the top 1% make up 10% of the playtime of all players then you'll see them in almost every lobby without sbmm and this low of a population
So since they use a mmr model, what stops me from throwing 20 games in a row and tanking my mmr to such a level that I get a bot lobby? I mean this is clearly abusable.
1:23 THE FINALS IS SOOOOOO GOOOOOD AND SOOO FUN BRO, actually crazy you put this in, i was JUST playing this yesterday, i actually deleted apex 4 weeks ago and grrt is like the only content creator i follow for apex topics now ( also grrt you should play world tour instead of quick cash, better rewards )
Actually WT might feel too sweaty or complicated for new players compared to something like Power Shift or Quick Cash. Playing these casual modes is a good idea to get a feel for the game, especially since Cashout might take some time to gain proper gamesense in. Even Terminal Attack could be nice for players used to tacFPS.
my jaw dropped so hard when i get attach to the same people in a row queue, even after i've got different matches without them in my squad, i can still see their name on the different squad, and then i meet em again like dude, how???
Even after not playing this game from so long, it's funny to see them still not change and continue to dodge the problem XD. The problem is the concept in and of itself. If a player gradually improves within margin, their MMR goes up. However, because different factors influence MMR, the player can actually lose due and still gain MMR due to increase in measured margin while never feeling the satisfaction of improvement. This creates a literal "race to the bottom/top" feedback loop where the player never actually gets the enjoyment reward because they are constantly punished for improvement. Due to the nature of the system and the probability being 1/20 for a win given all skill is equal, it makes the game overall *less* funsies to play entirely under most circumstances. Especially when the MMR can be lost within margin so many times, the player can tell when the game is giving them the "free win" and all enjoyment is lost due to the feeling of it being artificial. Apex is the prime example of what happens when a game is developed around competitive play over casual. The feedback loop causes the skill floor to skyrocket as when players are punished for improving, they're going to find a way to avoid being punished - not figure out the reason why you're punishing them. Comparing the game's state to Fortnite (which was developed with inverse philosophy of developing around casuals), we can clearly see what plays out better in the live-service market.
9:14 "We give premade squads an effective skill value increase for matchmaking." They don't give enough increase. They should increase that value more.
Consistently *all* of my games have a level 1 or level 2 champion squad, and i always die to some random bloodhound or lifeline and its literally their first game, and they then go on to win or get like top 3 placement. I have no idea why.
As always find people to play with, there’s literally two people every game provided to you to play with, befriend them and get better together, you also won’t get better by facing opponents on par or beneath your skill level.
never understood the problem with SBMM, why are you trying to shit on people that just started playing the game. Play against others in your skill range so every match is fair. That's how i see it
It’s only a problem when you get in low level games, come out of that game with 20 kills then proceed to be put in with predators, then proceed to get destroyed and put back in low level games. For someone who only sees the low level part, I understand why it doesn’t seem like a problem
❄️. Guess u was never around with the non sbmm/eomm days. Everyone who complains about it was new at one point. When i say we got absolutely shit on to a point its an understatement. We never gave up. Game after game battling thru the grit until we was doing the pooping. It made the game fun when u finally got to that point. With the new system that doesn't exist. The fun is gone. There is no accomplishment just a lottery system.
Although your argument seems reasonable it forgets to factor in a few things. The lobbies arent just sweaty for good players, its sweaty for bots aswell as the bots are all playing other bots the exact same level as them, so in the end everybody is playing sweats no matter what level youre playing. And the 2nd thing is it makes every game and lobby identical and takes away from authenticity of the match. If you ever played classic cods games like mw1 and mw2 back in the day, youll know just how fun random match making is without skill based, its multitudes times better and fairer as theres all types of players in each lobby from awful, to great, it keeps the flow of games fresh. Every match is different
Activision DID release a report, months ago. Where have you and the rest of the Apex community even been over the past year if you keep parroting the same crickets line? And sure, the Activision report was full of BS too, but it did release and did so much earlier than it took EA to get one out.
ive been playing ranked a lot this split and when i was plat 2 I was legit getting 15 masters, 15 preds, 30 diamond, and 15 plats in lobbies CONSTANTLY
So because I knocked one person my skill gets "updated" to the same level of the 3 stack preds on there 50th win streak today while my two randoms are literally brand new
I just feel like platinum is rigged to make it harder to rank up especially if your solo like the game punishes you for playing platinum solo these teammates that I get randomly play like they are literally new too the game like it feels like I'm helping get people too rank up these randoms play like they're new and this is not fair
i got rank with the only two silvers in the lobby in plat 😂😂😂 most were gold or plat, and lets say they were half good they were new low kills and skill revived them and they died as soon as they respawn 😂😂in one lobby i saw a rookie being matched with plats prob their friend, in one match there were 2 rookies and 1 plat 3 😂😂😂 not sure if they went there by the plat or they were match from solo q as team
as a newbie in those season i had a lot of fun as a casual even losing in season 17 fun was over at season 19 with trial and from season 20 onwards it wasnt fun anymore even i forgot when i stopped enjoying the game 😂😂
Im probably part of the people that are going to be playing apex when no one is playing this is really satisfying news foe me i hope they look at updating that skirmisher class as well cheers for the video ❤🎉
Well now. This does explain why I've been having a hard time trying to enjoy the game, in the middle of the night; where there are less people playing.
Lol I don't believe that. I've only played NY servers NA because they load instantly and are packed with people. I've never taken over 10 seconds to load into a game.
newyork have europeans, oregon asians those are 24/7 it takes 30 seconds to find a match, dallas and iowa takes double to find a match and usually are the same players
To much BS and it makes the matchmaking absolutely horrible and the games still dieing because of it. The solo que is still 100% miserable to play on a daily basis. 😔
I want company's who run these FPS live service games to stop trying to use algorithms to manufacture or control how much fun a player should be having. no reason for this shit, if your game is good people will play it without you having to put something in place that tricks them into staying on the game longer. It's a text book example of them trying to micro manage your fun.
4:50 Correction: "Where respawn *was forced by* - i think - *the korean government* to "improve" their matchmaker." Or better said: "...to *visualize* the ranked distribution." Not because they wanted to or planned to do it.
there arent many koreans in the game, the ones who play most have server issues and left few weeks later, some of my koreans friends left for this reason, my chinese friends left due to competitive servers in pubs 😂 and my japanese friends left because sweaty lobbies too not fun anymore
As a pubs player, I don't think the matchmaking is even on...at all. I haven't seen a 'W' in 2100 games (last win was season 21), and given how often I get sub level 10's on my team while fighting Master 3 stacks who are all warming up for ranked, I dont think 'fair' is even close. It seems to me like Respawns actual goal is getting new players to quit and pad the stats of higher skill players while pushing everyone to ranked for the illusion of "fair" matchmaking.
Real Madrid losе last game with 0 goals. And random club from 5x division losе last game with 0 goals. this means in SBMM's opinion that they are equal to put in the same match
Non day 1 player here also Apex is the first FPS game I’ve given any time because i typically don’t like them. Apex has great mechanics with guns and moving. I enjoy it. I e gotten good enough to win a couple 1v3s i guess against my skill level. I am good at getting into late game with a decent team. I’ve deal 2300+ in a ranked match as my high which is a personal best I’m proud lol. After I have some decent matches today 5s or 3s etc. the lobby gets pretty sweaty. I’m always wondering how some folks just have the greatest aim and my ceiling is platinum rn. I’ve gotten one shot with an R-301 before and was just confused. All head shots. Amazing nonetheless can be annoying at times. Solo q isn’t as fun because they usually have no mic and no real plan just run loot shoot at anything moving. They die so fast trying to kill the whole lobby now we are at a disadvantage. It’s kinda like ehhh ok. I understand it a bit. I love the game. My friends who played since day one day the ranked grind isn’t as good as it was. I wasn’t there so i wouldn’t know.
I think these changes are terrible for experienced solo queue players. If this new matchmaking system really works, then it means casual players who don't deal that much dmg in matches will face similar casual squads. In that case, the question is; who is going to fill the lobbies of experienced 3 stack squads? And the answer is : Bunch of solo queuers. I hope I'm wrong. But it's Respawn and EA, so it's very likely.
preds are matched with plat 2 onwards, on low hours they go with plat 3, diamond are matched with plats and gold 1 or gold 2 in low hours, the more players they have the lobbies can be fill easier, i dont have a problem with sweaty lobbies as long as it was 1 and 3 or 4 on my level, even on high hours im matched against sweaty people and my team is low level bots, i have no problem reviving them 4 times though is hard ln those lobbies
I call bs on the mm, I get consistently 1k-2k damage and my teammates are level 50 or below with zero wins. We'll finish the match and they have less than 100 damage and no kills, and I'll have 4+ and over 800 damage minimum. It happens like every 5 matches.
Wish more people played r5 reloaded, it's free, easy to install and really fun. You can pick your games from a server list aswell, like how games used to be
I think that just because you go off of the data collected by the players encounters doesn’t actually mean anything to be honest, if this type of sbmm was in something like halo where you keep respawning is a whole differ story, but in apex if you die you die, so much can go wrong in seconds and even pros die that way, so deaths and knocks shouldn’t be what they use to calculate fairness in teams, also like what if you get beamed 1 shot by a pred and then a bronze knocks him? I see the chart but how does the that calculate who should be paired with who in a mostly trio setting? I just don’t get it I think it’s brain dead
knocks can be used as that means you are bad and dont take cover though they need to take in consideration deaths, noobs tend to be knock often and die often, mid level players tend to be less knock and kill, high players tend to die less and be knock though they have kills, they need to implement how much kills and damage you do and which role you play, a support gets more assist than kills if played properly and assault and skirmisher plays for kills and assists most of the time, reacon and controller usually play for assist some exeptions though they need to implement a fixed matchmaking over skill based matchmaking, no one liked skill based matchmaking in cod too
Matchmaking doesn’t work for me, if you solo queue only (I have 8000 hours not including my total hours which is roughly 10,000 of just solo queuing. If u only solo Que and you constantly get teammates who touch the ground and dc the game will consist give u teammates that suck because they think that’s your skill level but it’s not because I’m bad it’s because the game thinks you are bad. I have 1.48 kd basically only solo queuing
it is putting you in sweaty lobbies and q with same MMR players so to make things clear those bots rat 4 matches and place 3 they have the same level as you even if theh did 0 kills and 0 damage, not a fair system, not even a good one for casual player
It seems like the same thing that happened last time they changed the MM is going to happen this time. It is only going to get worse like it did last time. Why don't they just say if you solo queue just quit the game because the MM is going to punish you for it. Party lobbies and solo lobbies would be a simple fix for this. I don't get why they can't just try it to see how it goes.
I think Respawn doesn't want to acknowledge the fact that passive players who have 0.5 KD aren't on the same skill level as aggressive players who have 3 KD. Sorry Respawn, but just because the passive Valkyrie main who runs from every fight makes it to 3rd place every match doesn't mean they're good a player and shouldn't be on my team when I'm grinding to Masters. Simple as that.
Those master badge former preds in gold and silver lobbies are rolling the whole lobby; they don't need to get their groove back. I have experienced it; lol, feels like shit.
They would have much better success with these changes if everyone came back to the game and the population went back up. They should have a week where if you logged on you get heirloom shards. People would rush back, play a little and see if matchmaking improved.
Sadly they won't do that because in technicality heirloom shards are worth $500 (You need 500 packs for a guaranteed one and one pack costs a dollar but you can get lucky )
@ I know they are worth a lot. They need to give back to those who have rightfully abandoned the game if they want the player population to see and appreciate their matchmaking improvements. The game is gonna lose its pro scene and continue to lose players otherwise
@@Carl_weez True. I feel like the game needs to discern itself from being a casual game to a completive game because other games like CSGO make it clear that it's competitive first while something like COD leans more into casual.
@ it would help a lot if they allowed players to create custom matches or maps similar to Fortnite. Even if people have a hard time competing in normals playlists, they’d still spend hours on the game either training or having fun casually in user-created maps.
I think that placement points should be removed because a lot of low skill players get platinum/diamond through placement and ruin the game of other players who got the same rank through fights.
I got to plat 4 solo que and kept running into literal pred 3 stacks. There is no skill taken into account. I should not see preds before D2 at least, but ideally until masters. They are the top masters players it is not fair against anyone not in that rank
They are just sweeping the problem under the rug. This system makes you either stomp or be stomped; a lose lose to everyone except for the very best. Win one or two matches against people under you; lose 10 matches against 3 stack preds, rinse and repeat
the matchmaking is absolutely terrible. When I play ranked I always, like 98% of the time, get mates wich are worse than me. How can this be?!. Like when I'm Plantnium 1 I get a Mate wich just got Plat and is WAY TO BAD for plat. Its not just the damage they deal. Its their playstile. THEY HAVE 0 GAME SENSE!!! My mates are always between lvl 50 and 300 how can this be? I'm lvl 800 and my champion is always a pred or tripple Master. WTF?! And yeah what a wonder that my fuze mate has 1000dmg and 0 kills when he always stays away from fight and trows his nuckle clusters.....
Grrt listen ive been subbed for what i believe is a while but apex is in a spot atm and no one would blame you if you switched to a different game. I stopped playing a while back because of the matchmaking and have just been switching games. A game i would suggest until respawn gets their stuff together is marvel rivals not what im playing rn but if i cpuld i would
Lad my kd ratio has been ripped to shreds with there constant mess ups with there match making, just leave it on sbmm f f s respawn leave it alone after as your core player base is starting to walk myself included because it's unplayable at this point, they've made their cash cow a unplayable experience by screwing up the match making by using engagement oriented or optimised match making.
So, "get good" is their advice?? 😂😂 I could almost believe their nonsense there if I DIDN'T PLAY THE GAME FOR 5 YEARS AND GET KIDS WITHOUT THUMBS AS TEAMMATES EVERY SINGLE GAME.
Matchmaking sucks if you play too long you'll get pred level players in your lobbies then you gotta get off for a day or 2 just to play people on your level
Get rid of Andrew Wilson the CE of EA. Bro doesn't know what he is doing. Freaking bean counter running (and ruining) a great game. He is the one holding back Respawn and is the reason for the games decline.
that is just pure bullshit, i get constantly put on lobbys full of preds/masters, with low level teammates (as me) and im a casual player that is not even close to that level. Even if they deny it, seems they use EOMM instead of SBMM. Stop believing the devs, they only want money. EA doesnt let them improve matchmaking??? bullcrap
Game is actually impossible to play, i swear even the fucking rookies know how to beam you before u can even fire 5 rounds, its impossible to come back to the game and its not even skill issue anymore
If they can break it down by not only K/D ratio, but by amount of kills, amount of champ wins, amount of kills by weapon, and cross-reference that against account level and kills by legend, then MAYBE you might have some decent SBMM. But good luck with it that. Never happening. 😂
3:02 and 3:30 BS and straight up lies. I get an average damage of 0-500 damage and 0-3 kills per game. Still, i get into lobbies with people that average on 1500-4000+ damage per game. Literally the top 20 preds worldwide, that get a 20 bomb every second or third game they play. Alot of the times even up to 5000+ damage. They are just straight up lieing to everyone of us 🤦♂ The time of the day doesn't matter btw. It doesn't matter if 39k players are actively playing or 170k players when i hop in to play a few rounds and hate my life for doing so. I still get *the. exact. same. lobbies.* Also, my team usually does nothing. They run around like headless chickens and into 5 teams fighting. *Right in the middle* of all of them and instantly dieing. *Zero* damage done and leaving instantly. Enemy teams get 5-15 kills each and 1500-3000+ damage each. In 80% of the games I play.
@@raufmeister Most of the time, yes xD I had an round 1 or 2 weeks ago, where my wraith teammate purposfully landed in an completly different POI the we did - not even an hotdrop spot... - on stormpoint, ran into 5 teams, died and left XD
I'll never understand the hate on SBMM. It makes people fight their skill level, something they swear is the peak of competitive play, so why does everyone wanna play against the lowest on the brackets? We all know the answer, but they just want easy kills. Thats why they're complaining, they want to run through lobbies like Bot Royale.
I do agree with you. SBMM is not a terrible system, but I shouldn't be running into people with 100K kills on legends while I don't even have 5K career kills. It just doesn't make sense why I solo-queue in a pub and get 3 stacks or just demon people when I am not even good lmao
Problem is where they deploy it. Pubs should not have any specific matchmaking unless it for actual new players, ranked however should of course have SBMM. Also nowadays I get better teammates in pubs than ranked (I’m on console but play in pred lobbies), I think this is where 99% of people struggle with SBMM.
It fucks over the social aspect of video games. If I wanted to play against my skill level and care about my performance/win or lose, I'd play ranked not pubs plus, it doesn't work at all if the goal is to match skill levels between players lmao which we all know it's not, the goal is just to maximize engagement and it fails at that too
br's need sbmm or else you end up with 2 or 3 sweaty 3 stacks farming the entire lobby every match. this completely ruins the experience for everyone else who isnt a sweat.
Yeah right, 3 stacks preds against gold players solo q team in this season. Whatever model you claim to have isnt that great. I can say this, once your MMR is high enough you will never have easy lobbies regards what rank/rp you have. Btw the bell curve with target windows like that is bullshit. I can say they use that same thing in rank when the sv population is low. Thats why rank match making is so bad.
Just stop playing ranked. idk why peoples cry about matchmaking in ranked. almost 6 years devs no fixed matchmaking and this will continue further. They prioritize pro players over regular players. After plat yoг only prey for 3x stack master and preds. You watch a stream of some pro player, and they just run and destroy plat and diamond players and it suits them perfectly. Half of these players will never take a Predator in solo q
as a day 1 player the matchmaking is still absolutely terrible

@mikealaniz7236 I have to either play solo or full pre made team in ranked. . . If only 2 pre-made then the 3rd is ALWAYS a bot with sub 40 total kills and gets less than 100 damage the entire match even if we win. 😅
“Good skill based matchmaking means putting players of your skill on your squad against other players of a similar skill range”
They says this as they actively put me (a consistent diamond player with 3000 hours on the game) on teams with sub level 200 players in lobbies with pred 3 stacks.
I’m not sure how well that would work but it should be better than what’s currently in place.
bro they just told you how their whole system works, and why you have that problem. you should understand

Were they ranked Master at the time, or were they an account with masters badges on their account ranked Gold?
There's a difference. Also, know that a S17 Master isn't a real Master. People ratted to that. I know people who don't get over 200 damage in a 30-minute match, but they're S17 Masters.
It’s crazy that Respawn can talk about SBMM, MMR, RP, but Activision can go radio silent 😂

Its their *main* problem XD
- With an fixed matchmaker, we would have never had an cheater problem. They would've all just been matched with each other, cause they do ridiculous amounts of damage and get tons of kills.
- With an fixed matchmaker, we could finally enjoy the game again.
- LTM's would finally be fun, *instead* of an absolute sweatfest and nightmare for casual players
- Skins would finally be *kinda* "worth" buying, cause the game is fun to play
- I wouldn't hate my life for playing this game *with* an fixed matchmaker. Luckily i already quit and i am able to enjoy life again.
Just to list a few reasons here. The matchmaker is their main problem and a nightmare for every casual player, that plays for fun.
agree sweaty lobbies are not good
you quit but you are here. you want to give it a chance.
@@evening_kovacs Exactly. I want this game to be fun again, but till they fix everything, i'm out.

Waiting for some moron to come and tell you that "to be the best you have to beat the best!" or some shit like that
The queue for masters and preds should clearly be longer, the pros are even tired of running over platinum players.
me and as many players says preds are not legit, most use ESP or cheats they know your information and where are you while acting like bots, is rare to see legit preds, they exist though some are cheaters
window must have been wide because of small pool of players.
@@evening_kovacs nah the ranked system has just been broken since season 13
I've said it before and I'll say it again MMR should not exist in games.
In non ranked modes you should either be playing purely randomly and/or based on connection where in sometimes you'll be a god and sometimes entirely useless. This helps manage expectations and also keeps the game feeling fresh from one round to the next.
In ranked only your rank should be considered nothing else. sometimes someone coming in late will go around stomping some lower skilled players for a few games but they'll quickly be out of such lobbies and closer to where they should ultimately sit.
Solos should have the option for a solo only queue in each game mode.
If MMR wouldn't exist, the few top 1% players who are so much better than everyone else would 1v59 almost every lobby
But in reality you'd see them even more often because highly skilled players obviously play more aswell
Edit: MMR and Skill Based Matchmaking existed from day one in Apex ;)
If every high skilled player only wants to fight enemies of similar skill then smurfing wouldn't exist
And don't ignore that high skill players play MUCH more than the lower skill casual playerbase.

Actually WT might feel too sweaty or complicated for new players compared to something like Power Shift or Quick Cash. Playing these casual modes is a good idea to get a feel for the game, especially since Cashout might take some time to gain proper gamesense in. Even Terminal Attack could be nice for players used to tacFPS.

my jaw dropped so hard when i get attach to the same people in a row queue, even after i've got different matches without them in my squad, i can still see their name on the different squad, and then i meet em again
like dude, how???
Comparing the game's state to Fortnite (which was developed with inverse philosophy of developing around casuals), we can clearly see what plays out better in the live-service market.
love the Finals gameplay in the back haha
9:14 "We give premade squads an effective skill value increase for matchmaking."
They don't give enough increase. They should increase that value more.
Not everybody has friends from Seal Team 6 😂
Consistently *all* of my games have a level 1 or level 2 champion squad, and i always die to some random bloodhound or lifeline and its literally their first game, and they then go on to win or get like top 3 placement. I have no idea why.
As always find people to play with, there’s literally two people every game provided to you to play with, befriend them and get better together, you also won’t get better by facing opponents on par or beneath your skill level.
never understood the problem with SBMM, why are you trying to shit on people that just started playing the game. Play against others in your skill range so every match is fair. That's how i see it
True
Its sorta an issue for people when it gets way too sweaty and you wont be able to play casually i guess. But other than that its not an issue
Activision & cod when called out on eomm: 🦗🦗🦗
EA & respawn when called out on eomm: Lies about it
Activision DID release a report, months ago.
Ah so thats why i get into pred lobbies while doing 200dmg per game
It's funny played on Sunday for the 1st time in a while, and the matchmaking did feel more consistent.
they added this shit mid season 3 i remember youtubers back then talking about it in the year 2019
Crazy how this would be fixed if your rank determines who you got matched with in ranked and SBMM is stupid for casual modes

To much BS and it makes the matchmaking absolutely horrible and the games still dieing because of it. The solo que is still 100% miserable to play on a daily basis. 😔
I want company's who run these FPS live service games to stop trying to use algorithms to manufacture or control how much fun a player should be having. no reason for this shit, if your game is good people will play it without you having to put something in place that tricks them into staying on the game longer.

there arent many koreans in the game, the ones who play most have server issues and left few weeks later, some of my koreans friends left for this reason, my chinese friends left due to competitive servers in pubs 😂 and my japanese friends left because sweaty lobbies too not fun anymore
So glad you showed footage from the perfect game to switch to. The Finals has loving devs, nice change from being treated like shit by EA.

Honestly think they are just lying. I'm given brain dead teammates and I go against apex preds and masters all the time
I see no point in getting good when a game actively nerfs you in response to improvement.
Apex instagib looks Hella fun!
I'm still fighting masters every match regardless of my performance. Which is always bad because I'm always fighting masters

They would have much better success with these changes if everyone came back to the game and the population went back up. They should have a week where if you logged on you get heirloom shards. People would rush back, play a little and see if matchmaking improved.
Sadly they won't do that because in technicality heirloom shards are worth $500 (You need 500 packs for a guaranteed one and one pack costs a dollar but you can get lucky )

even the best players are leaving for the same problem they cant relax and have fun is sweaty lobbies
the matchmaking is absolutely terrible. When I play ranked I always, like 98% of the time, get mates wich are worse than me. How can this be?!.

Matchmaking sucks if you play too long you'll get pred level players in your lobbies then you gotta get off for a day or 2 just to play people on your level
why wouldnt it be kdr based, generally people with a higher kd are better at fighting? KDR + average damage per match or something
Get rid of Andrew Wilson the CE of EA. Bro doesn't know what he is doing. Freaking bean counter running (and ruining) a great game. He is the one holding back Respawn and is the reason for the games decline.
I’m lvl 16 and I’m getting people that have 4k badges and diamond and lvl 400 and above can I fix that (im new to the game )
then why am I (lvl 2130 ish) getting queued with actual lvl 10-80 players even in daytime?
that is just pure bullshit, i get constantly put on lobbys full of preds/masters, with low level teammates (as me) and im a casual player that is not even close to that level. Even if they deny it, seems they use EOMM instead of SBMM. Stop believing the devs, they only want money. EA doesnt let them improve matchmaking??? bullcrap
Friendly reminder that only the top skill ranks had low population, ao the "short queue needs wider matchmaking" only benefits them.
Dead game
It's too late. The game does not have enough active players to make matchmaking changes significant.
I mean last night I seen a triple predator stack in pubs , I am BrOnZE, bruh. highest I've been bothered to reach is silver 1
Matchmaking is different for ranked and pubs. You may find better matches in ranked honestly.
all this manipulation is whats killing the game
Game is actually impossible to play, i swear even the fucking rookies know how to beam you before u can even fire 5 rounds, its impossible to come back to the game and its not even skill issue anymore
If they can break it down by not only K/D ratio, but by amount of kills, amount of champ wins, amount of kills by weapon, and cross-reference that against account level and kills by legend, then MAYBE you might have some decent SBMM.
But good luck with it that. Never happening. 😂
damage is also a good thing some only farm damage and dont know what they are doing
Why are you still believing them? They have proved how good they are at talking it but just don't deliver any difference to the game
They are just straight up lieing to everyone of us 🤦♂
The time of the day doesn't matter btw. It doesn't matter if 39k players are actively playing or 170k players when i hop in to play a few rounds and hate my life for doing so. I still get *the. exact. same. lobbies.*
Also, my team usually does nothing. They run around like headless chickens and into 5 teams fighting. *Right in the middle* of all of them and instantly dieing. *Zero* damage done and leaving instantly.
Enemy teams get 5-15 kills each and 1500-3000+ damage each. In 80% of the games I play.
let me guess octanes and wraiths 😂😂😂 usually octanes do 0 to 100 damage, wraiths does 50 to 200, both 0 knocks and kills
@@raufmeister Most of the time, yes xD
I had an round 1 or 2 weeks ago, where my wraith teammate purposfully landed in an completly different POI the we did - not even an hotdrop spot...
If I wanted to play against my skill level and care about my performance/win or lose, I'd play ranked not pubs
plus, it doesn't work at all if the goal is to match skill levels between players lmao which we all know it's not, the goal is just to maximize engagement and it fails at that too
You clearly haven't played the game for half a decade like me and wondered what the f was wrong with my teammates 😂😂
br's need sbmm or else you end up with 2 or 3 sweaty 3 stacks farming the entire lobby every match. this completely ruins the experience for everyone else who isnt a sweat.
FIX THE AUDIO. I just played like 6 matches of just enemies spawning out of nowhere next to me, literally right next to me with no footsteps FFS
they didnt fix lifeline volume since rework, i get all voice volume lower and lifeline new voice lines are louder
This game is cooked
Just lies lies and more lies...😢
Just stop playing ranked. idk why peoples cry about matchmaking in ranked. almost 6 years devs no fixed matchmaking and this will continue further. They prioritize pro players over regular players. After plat yoг only prey for 3x stack master and preds. You watch a stream of some pro player, and they just run and destroy plat and diamond players and it suits them perfectly. Half of these players will never take a Predator in solo q
well pro players also complain about the same matchmaking, hiswattson who was no1 pred and pro player also quit
My poor guy is still making Apex content.
im not as skilled as a greasy sweat config pred bro i play once a weekor month
Why the finals gameplay? Lol even content creators don’t play Apex anymore 😂
