On a Altima, if you get a P0130, P015A, P2097.. Heated O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 malfunction.. Heated O2 sensor 1 bank 1 delayed response rich to lean.. Post catalytic converter fuel trim bank 1 too rich.. Don't rush out and purchase a $200 dollar sensor.. The problem is more than likely the flex pipe just before the downstream sensor. The best way to check for a large leak in the flex pipe is to use a shop-vac blowing air directly into the drivers side tailpipe, and block the passenger side pipe with a rubber glove, or I have used paper towels, anything to stop the escaping air. Get a spray bottle filled with soapy water and spray the flex pipe liberally.. If it bubbles appear, the flex pipe is damaged and need replacing. Any air entering the exhaust before the downstream O2 sensor will cause a code, and the sensor will add fuel because it's sensing more O2 than the upstream O2 sensor.
I have this code.. my cat is good according to my Obd scanner.. I replaced my oxygen sensors both I changed my injectors. Did my oil change Put a new battery Idk what else to do check all my hoses seems to be something else
So I changed catalytic converters, engine coolant sensor, both o2 sensors, checked for leaks with smoke method, cleaned maf sensor, and flex pipe don’t know what else it could be my car doesn’t have any issues rides as if nothing is wrong js fuel consumptions please help with any of y’all’s experiences
My flex pipe, it literally gone, muffler is so loud, I have the same vehicle in this video, Nissan Altima 2005. In addition to the broken flex pipe, my car has a rough idle at a stop light. wonder if that could be result of the air intake being thrown off? My car ran the P1273 error code this morning, which brought me to this video.
@@donovans1 I too just fixed the flex pipe which needed fixed regardless. However, it did not fix the rough idle when in drive. I've replaced the spark plugs, cleaned the intake manifold. Replaced both the cam and crank sensors, not sure why it has such a rough idle. So I'd from that the car is great.
I have the same issues so here is what I replace. Both sensors, cat converter, flex pipe, MAF.. I check for vacuum leaks and nothing. Don’t know what else to do. Maybe I will check the injectors. Help!
Yo did u figure it out if so what was it fuel pump? Fuel filter ? Injector and if so was your car ever sluggish or will it be as if nothing was wrong please help if u see this
Solved: I had a P1273 Lean code on a 2005 Altima S (QR25DE) that was random and infrequent, for a over a year. Things I tried first: Pre-catalytic converter DELETE, oxygen (o2) sensors ((NTK calls it 'Air Fuel Ratio sensor')), Mass-air flow sensor, valve cover / PCV, checked vacuum leaks, checked fuel pressure which was very questionable, 50 or more Mixture Ratio Self-Learning clears, etc etc.. >>>>> The entire time it was the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor becoming intermittent only at normal running temp. It never ever popped a DTC light for that sensor hinting to it. I did not have problems starting the vehicle ever. Only symptoms were P1273, retarded timing, and horrible fuel mileage (limp home mode).
Kevin I too have a 2005 Nissan Altima, I have a rough idle when the car is in Drive idling at a red light or stop sign. I've changed all the spark plugs I've changed the valve cover, PCV. Changed the engine coolant, and 2 thermostats. Also I changed the crank and camshaft sensors. It still is very rough at a red light in idle or at a stop sign. Have not changed the thermostat sensor.
I have the same car but I have a cable hanging from under the car and I followed it up and it goes to the top left corner of the car and leads into the passenger side and I have no idea what that cable is it’s very thin any way you can help out?
I have a 2005 altima and same issue as you wire but my window wiper does not work need to replace the container and for me that is were the wire leads to on the passenger side it is dangling hope it helps you.
@@1gemini28 my windshield wipers work fine I was told it’s some sort of oxygen sensor followed it and it’s under the passenger seat but keeps going back towards the back seats and I have no clue if it’s a sensor or some type of wire for something irrelevant

Did you ever found out?
If you don't re learn the computer after you replace it, the code will come back.

Same problem. I’m having. I fixed the pipe. Hard idle when in drive. I see a guy said it was his. Temp sensor.

I’m going to change the temp sensor. Tomorrow. And see. If that helps. I still have the p1273 code.
Go down the comments and look what kevin B did. I did all that. But the sensor.

This the problem. I’m having now. So you think all I have to do is change that sensor. And I’ll be good to go.
