I was disappointed with my 2020 bottle after sampling 2019 but let me tell you something I left it for winter season and came back in spring summer after couple of months. Boy this shit was so dark and rich and became monster performer.
I bought my Naxos in February from Jomashop, it has the same batch code as your "new one" which the date says it was produced in May 2023. The color of mine is more orange than your "new" one, which is interesting. I'm thinking it is because of the 6 months that I've had it.
Dont worry, use your new fragrance or decant 5ml and in 2 months it will be exactly same colour and strength as 2021 ,i did that with mine also got 2018 batch what i find bit stronger but not that much londer lasting
I think your fragrances go bad because you store them the wrong way. I see a lot of bottles there, all without packaging, in a normal room with windows. UV light and high or varying temperatures have a negative effect on fragrances. I store my fragrances in the basement, and I still have fragrances from 20 years back, and they still smell amazing. I have a lot of fragrances that are older than 3 years, and never has anyone of them gone bad.
I have 20 plus year old fragrances too! My old house they were all stored away in several drawers, my collection has since grown exponentially since moving into our new home in Arizona, they're in my walk-in closet on shelves. The closet has no windows and the only time the light is on is when we're in there, other than that it's completely dark
@@terrencebryant8140 That's perfect. I also keep the fragrances in their boxes, usually, but not all. I try to take care of them. I have more than 250 bottles at the moment. But I need to slow down a little, and invest the money instead of spending it for fragrances 😅
I was very dissapointed. I gotten a tester and I loved the smell so I purchased a full bottle. Then the liquid inside indeed looked diffrent colored. In the beginning I thought it was pretty similair but after a bit I thought why it is a bit more annoying to wear. I noticed that the new batch just feels more heavy on the lavander. I HATE lavander honestly. This was the first perfume were I actually found lavander pretty nice. But with the new one, it just more heavy lavander and it is for me off putting.
I agree. I had an older sample that I recently started wearing. On me, I don't detect the lavender as much but starts off citrus before settling into a warm honey scent. Purchased a new sample recently since I'm hearing mixed things about a formulation, and I actually hate it. So dissapointing since I wanted to purchase a full bottle
What batch do you have? My sample was from early 2022 and it's a much warmer and smokier smell than 12323N, I'm not really happy with the fact that I bought a bottle and it's pretty drastically different
@ansndndnd4931 My original sample was brought in 2022, while the new sample was just recently. Maybe it's because the older sample has been sitting for 2 years that it may have macerated, but it's much deeper and warmer into a honey scent. I'm going to leave my new sample to sit for a while before trying again, but it's still the same in my opinion - a sharper opening with little warmth in the end. I barely detect the honey, vanilla cinnamon or tonka bean.
@basednerdthug5025 That's such a shame! And I agree with you. My sample was brought in early 2022, but I'm not sure which batch number it is, but it's much warmer than the new sample. I plan on letting the new sample sit for a couple of weeks before trying again, and maybe it'll make some sort of difference
Giving companies props for being greedy is not sitting right with me . they reformulated it , made it worse , less rich , less everything less performance less honey less complex YET the price is the same ? greedyness. its not worth it just because its better to not promote this kind of ethics. same for the initio house who reformulated most of their stuff and now they are watered down barely performing. either get whats good RIGHT NOW and strong rich etc or hunt the old batches. not worth buying something thats worse then before with the same pricetag. i wanted to buy naxos bcs i love the combo of tobacco and honey but of course its reformulated weaker less dense less rich so i will not be buying it and go for somethings thats actually good right now
I have a 2021 batch of Naxos and it is supposedly a fresher batch than the older ones. With that being said I still think my Naxos is overly dense to the point where it would choke me out if I wore more than two sprays. In regards to Initio/PDM, I would have to agree. I have a 77% alc. of Oud for Greatness and smelled the 81% in Neimans and it is not the same imo.
@@tuna3875 2021 tho. thats not 2024 batch to compare . it only gets worse and worse. never better. and oud for greatness is like the exception considering that its very strong
@@faceagain5703 Ah that's fair. I do recall seeing lots of images on reddit of peoples' newer batches of naxos being really light in color. You wouldn't think time would help age a fragrance if you give it a couple of years?
@@tuna3875 i do ofc. but its very unfair to have to wait years to get what was once the standart. like if i buy naxos i want to use it after maximum 1 month of maceration. i bought it to enjoy it
I want to apologize and tell you. I subscribed. I saw you and was like, "This guy probably doesn't know what he's talking about." Hes in a room with a shower curtain. Loved the information and video thank you very much.

Even my lemale has changed color just like urs. Thanks for the talk on this frag. It's my next buy for sure
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like this fragrance and I give it a 10 out of 10 and have a blessed day

I have the New Naxos, and I get 10 plus hours, and to me and other people, the new Naxos smells BETTER 🎉🎉

When Ethyl vannillin expose with oxygen it's started changing colours 😢, may be they don't use anti oxidation agent in right amount 😊
My Triumph of Bacchus has gotten way darker than when I first got it
Maturation
can you define the year batches between them please
Hello Joy! Is there a noticeable difference in the tobacco note between the two ?
the older one is stronger and feels like the real deal, the new one is younger tobacco leaves with honey, violets and lavender for me,tad bit fresher
My batch of naxos i bought last year was really faint in colour now its like a glass of whisky
vanilla changes color after a while it becomes darker
that is also the case with musc Ravageur f.e.
Hello when is your batch from? 😉
how i differ the old and new batches when im going to buy one
Can you show as difference of the box’s
Im on your side...
I have a 2019 bottle so good

How is this compared to insurrection 2 wild? Any clones you’d recommend? 1981x also smells different than older batches
Insurrection 2 is very close.
Insurrection is a wearable version of havane, without that magical opening. Soo good for the price. Lasts also decent but doesnt come near ph or naxos
@@Alritealritealrite They are a bit similar, but not close at all, i have both.
Joy bhai …Is it worth buying in 2024 ?
No
