Interestng that you mentioned the bindings. I was just in Lyngen for a week skitouring with a 2015 Line Sir Francis Bacon with a Shift binding... It worked great! Not the setup one would expect for this because it's heavy af compared to touring gear, but rides really well in all conditions. Before the trip i tried a Faction Agent 3.0 which had some rental pin binding on it. I ended up wondering wether i didn't like the binding or didn't like the ski. I felt good making turns really fast, but somehow always something felt wrong about it... So i went to Lyngen with the setup i had anyways.
No, for Touring, you Will need special bindings and alsof special skiboots. You can use freeride ski's in thé park but they Will rotate slower compared to park ski's, but defintely still enjoyable!
