I was a heroin addict and meth addict for 21 years. I have 2 kids. I robbed, I stole and lied to everyone back then. But I never once thought about doing anything inappropriate with my children. Drugs lower your inhibitions, so the thought has to be their for it to come out. Drugs don't make you do bad things. It may cause you to want to, but it's still a choice. Accountability doesn't stop bc you got high. He should sit his sentence.
I'm proud of you for getting clean and owning up to your mistakes. Meth and heroin are some of the hardest drugs to quit, as I'm sure you already know, so managing to give up both of those is something to be proud of.

Trust me when I say it can happen to be made to do something egregious as that, happened to me. My cousin (2) different ones a girl and a boy made me do things. I cringe now just thinking about it and for A LONG TIME I was in total denial and now at the age of 45, I can talk about it w/o getting sick.
As someone who was raped and sexually abused by my father I can tell you it destroys lives. Not just mine but everyone around me. The brutality is something most people can’t and won’t understand or comprehend. It affects every aspect of how I see and interact w the world. When my father was finally charged they dropped the rape charges for a plea deal. He only did twelve years and is out now and probably reoffending. That poor young lady was already having issues with her mental health, and only God knows why. Maybe she was enduring something at her mothers since her mother is an addict. I am praying for you 💕 I can see this hearing really hit you hard. I was terribly abused by my dad from age 5 until and others until 17. I was addicted to cocaine, lived on the streets sleeping with whoever gave me attention. Got clean and first counseling help at 28. I had three attempts to leave this earth during that time. I am 62 and it still affects me today. That scumbag should serve his whole sentence! He minimized the abuse, blamed it on her and the drugs and took no responsibility for how badly his daughter is destroyed. His behavior took her childhood and destroyed her life. I know personally, she will never be the same. That last thing she needs is anything thing from him!!!

I was abused by my step dad when I told my mum she didn't believe me and I was told not to say anything,in the 60/70 you weren't allowed to speak about it,my mum said on her death bed she was sorry and she did believe me,I will never forgive her,I have severe mental health and PTSD I'm 63 now I got a life sentence I keep telling myself I'm not a victim I'm a survivor,the damage those abusers cause's you never get over it,my heart goes out to anyone who was abused,I'm glad he didn't get parole,thank you for this one it's hard watching this but it helps when the abuser's get prison, the UK thay get a couple of month's,it's another year now so I wish everyone a happy New year 2023 🥳🎉

So, she moved in (and I did such a good job) and wanted to stay with me after the summer when her brother went back. (Probably because there was no supervision grom the father who stayed high on meth, worked all the time and didn't sleep.) And poor him, he stayed so high all the time because he was do strung out because of his hard life. So, being the good dad that he is, he was sure to go in the bathroom to jack off, and poor him. In his extremely high state, his daughter wouldn't leave him alone and walked in on him several times as he was jacking off. Poor him, he was so messed up, I'm sure he didn't want to offend his daughter by telling her get the fuk out, locking the door, or heaven forbid finding a more appropriate location or time (since I'm sure she was not home or awake 24/7 like he was). Even in prison, he was in programs but poor him, the prison changed programs, Covid, and again the prison changed programs. Poor him obviously could not do the self help thing a learn a thing or two about how fukd up he really is. And to wrap it all up, poor him happens to find himself in prison and the reason he's asking for parole is for his daughter's benefit. Her mother is so fukd up that he needs to go get his daughter and "help" her get her life on track. Sort of like that "good" job he did during the summer. Sadly, I'm kinda thinking the mother was doing a great job and that is why the girl was rebelling which often times is not so abnormal and why the son went to college. I'm thinking mom probably turned to drugs blaming herself for the poor choice for their father and them "allowing" her to live with the father she probably knew was a drug addict. But now that I think about it, we only "know" that mom and daughter are hooking because of what he says, but he probably thinks all women are whores. Correction: My dissociation didn't let me mentally see the young daughter do that to her father. As an adult, I see her giving blow jobs and that's what I meant earlier, but I don't want to reread this. That's just how I deal with some of this stuff. Hits very close to home. I hope he catches new charges during some much needed prison justice attitude adjustments. He messed up some lives.

I wouldn't use around kids as I find that abhorrent on it's own merits. Then making it sexual, makes me sick.

As someone who was raped and sexually abused by my father I can tell you it destroys lives. Not just mine but everyone around me. The brutality is something most people can’t and won’t understand or comprehend. It affects every aspect of how I see and interact w the world. When my father was finally charged they dropped the rape charges for a plea deal. He only did twelve years and is out now and probably reoffending. These sick bastards always try to shift the blame and minimize the damage they caused. They won’t ever change. They can’t ever be a healthy functioning part of society. I pray for the daughter. She has a long painful road ahead of her. I hope she knows it wasn’t her fault and that her “father” is a sick sick monster.

I didn't understand why they didn't talk more about his failure to get sex offender counseling when they were summarizing their denial. Yes, his failure to admit his addiction is important, but good grief! And how he blamed the abuse on drugs?? It's like he's been told to own up to what he did to get parole--but still finds a way to avoid complete responsibility by blaming it on hallucinations brought on by drug use. And he still doesn't know better not to use such disgusting language. And his wording, "She..." It's like he's putting responsibility on her. That poor young lady was already having issues with her mental health, and only God knows why. Maybe she was enduring something at her mothers since her mother is an addict. Then on top of that, he harms her in one of the worst possible ways a father can. Unbelievable that he would even think he could save her. She’d probably see him and spiral even worse. I doubt he’s even allowed to contact her.
She went to her protector here on earth for help… and received a life sentence instead… only prayer can help both of them.

I was terribly abused by my dad from age 5 until and others until 17. I was addicted to cocaine, lived on the streets sleeping with whoever gave me attention. Got clean and first counseling help at 28. I had three attempts to leave this earth during that time.
I am 62 and it still affects me today. That scumbag should serve his whole sentence! He minimized the abuse, blamed it on her and the drugs and took no responsibility for how badly his daughter is destroyed. His behavior took her childhood and destroyed her life. I know personally, she will never be the same. That last thing she needs is anything thing from him!!!

But you definitely did NOT speak about this back then. My parents dismissed my abnormal behavior as just being a bad child. They had no idea what was happening as I was under the age of 4-5

He IS a typical sex offender. He carries himself in a slightly different manner which I think you were reflecting on. He's more of a tough guy persona, but if you think about it, everything he did said he was and is the victim.
Started EVERY drug at 10-12 years old. Hard life. I was a drug addict yeah, but that wasn't my fault and I had to help my daughter because she was being rebellious towards her mother and whatever else. So, she moved in (and I did such a good job) and wanted to stay with me after the summer when her brother went back. (Probably because there was no supervision grom the father who stayed high on meth, worked all the time and didn't sleep.) And poor him, he stayed so high all the time because he was do strung out because of his hard life. So, being the good dad that he is, he was sure to go in the bathroom to jack off, and poor him. In his extremely high state, his daughter wouldn't leave him alone and walked in on him several times as he was jacking off. Poor him, he was so messed up, I'm sure he didn't want to offend his daughter by telling her get the fuk out, locking the door, or heaven forbid finding a more appropriate location or time (since I'm sure she was not home or awake 24/7 like he was). Even in prison, he was in programs but poor him, the prison changed programs, Covid, and again the prison changed programs. Poor him obviously could not do the self help thing a learn a thing or two about how fukd up he really is. And to wrap it all up, poor him happens to find himself in prison and the reason he's asking for parole is for his daughter's benefit. Her mother is so fukd up that he needs to go get his daughter and "help" her get her life on track. Sort of like that "good" job he did during the summer.
Sadly, I'm kinda thinking the mother was doing a great job and that is why the girl was rebelling which often times is not so abnormal and why the son went to college. I'm thinking mom probably turned to drugs blaming herself for the poor choice for their father and them "allowing" her to live with the father she probably knew was a drug addict.
But now that I think about it, we only "know" that mom and daughter are hooking because of what he says, but he probably thinks all women are whores.
Correction: My dissociation didn't let me mentally see the young daughter do that to her father. As an adult, I see her giving blow jobs and that's what I meant earlier, but I don't want to reread this. That's just how I deal with some of this stuff. Hits very close to home. I hope he catches new charges during some much needed prison justice attitude adjustments. He messed up some lives.
He gave them every single reason they needed to keep him in:
1) Minimizing culpability & severity of crimes.
2) Says he’s no longer an addict & he just isn’t gonna use anymore.
3) No long term drug treatment or SO treatment during incarceration.
4) No support system or employment lined up.
5) Family members he plans to be around are currently using drugs.

I dont know why, but i really didnt expect him to say what he said. I legitimately thought it was going to stop at his kid seeing him be inappropriate. Then to hear how it lasted for an amount of time. I had a visceral reaction to him saying what he did. My stomach immediately churned. There are just no words to even describe how horrific this is. I did my fair share of drugs in my younger years, hallucinogens, slammed coke, (hated meth,) pills, etc. The drugs all day, all night, every day. I never NEVER wanted to, or would have touched a kid! I wouldn't use around kids as I find that abhorrent on it's own merits. Then making it sexual, makes me sick.
