I wish they bring back the headphone jack. Though most people started moving to wireless earphones, it's always better to have an option. Also this a "Fan Edition", so Samsung must justify the name.
You are wishing in vane, Samsung will likely not bring the headphone jack back. The more features phone manufacturers can get rid of the better their bottom line profits hence the better they like it. Is this good, No! but what can you do about it.
Your videos are very neat and of high quality. Editing is also great 👍. Which camera do you prefer capturing studio level videos?
There will be discounts eventually. And probably s21 fe is going to be cheaper and at that time, I think it'll worth buying over those Chinese brands
I'm not so sure about that, Samsung has only lowered the price of the S21 FE here in the U.S. by only $100. It should of been given a $150-$200 discount considering how it should of been a Cheaper variant of the $700 S21
You can still buy a S20 FE new for about 350 or less. Fyi......

Actually, Samsung is promising 4 years of major OS updates and an extra year of security updates.
I disagree with you about the plastic back, it s more durable than the glass back, gorilla glass...no matter, plastic in general is more durable than glass.( gorilla glass is glass with protection to scratches), glass breaks, plastic doesn't.
Plastic is more resistant to drops, but it can still break.

Thanks for the great review…comprehensive, honest and based on real life experiences with the phone. The phone’s release time and price is not well received, especially with the S22 unpacked event due next week. The price of S21fe needs to drop significantly if sales are to get off the ground.
The price has dropped in a significant way.
I will go with the light weight plastic back design anyday. We are not youtubers who buy their phone often because glass is glass and glass breaks and It costs around 15-30% cost of the phone.

If the S21 FE is supposed to be a Fan Edition version of the S21, why does it not have features like Expandable Storage and a Headphone Jack that Fans are asking for?

My priorities is recording videos, vlogs, consuming media, surfing internet and social media and emails.
The 8GB Ram version of this phone comes standard with 256GB storage, timestamp 1:34 shows 128GB storage. You got some great shots with the camera!

the s21 fe has already appeared with values lower than all these options imported from China. Just a curiosity about the market around here. 😂

With respect to what Dave2D said, I think he was talking to those who don't use hardcovers and only use skins like him(even in his S21FE video the Pixel next to him had a skin. For them cracking is a bigger concern than scratching.
Personally I agree with you as I don't use skins but Dave made sense from his point of view
In the US you can now get the S21 FE for $549 or less sometimes. I grabbed it at that price and its a great upgrade from a cheaper phone like a 4a 5g. At that price I wouldn't understand someone hating on it. I would say that the battery could be better but that is just nitpicking. I do think people are asking too much from the CPU gaming at extreme high levels. This is not a flagship phone and I like glasstic backs.

I've bought the s21 fe a few days ago(January 31st)
And I can say it is quite good, but I had and still have a few issues.
The battery was quite bad in the first few days, but now it is okay.
Also I can say that I have some performance issues, I have lags in the ui when bringing down notification panel, or opening messenger chathead. When gaming doing good, but basic ui stutters.
I have a friend with a s20fe and he has oneui 4 too and it is flawless, and I don't know why...
It's probably due to UI bugs, not phone.
Got the S21 FE a few days ago and except for maybe the batttery could last longer it has been flawless. Hopefully after the battery has had a chance to adapt to my usage it will get better.
I think because companies are trying to maintain the targets just like youtube videos...so they are not focusing on optimization and quality of the product...they need to chill out and innovate...

S21 FE is a decent offering marred by the price against the S21/S21+. Also, FE means giving the fans what they want. Samsung should had retained the expandable memory slot for the FE to distinguish it from the S21/S21+.

Yeah retaining the expandable memory would have been great. The nice thing is that it recognizes usb-drives natively. Is a workaround but its all Samsung gave us at this point. I am about to get the biggest USB-C Drive I can afford.
Specifically I am getting a Sandisk 512gb Ultra Dual USB-C/USA-A drive. Have to make sure both are OTG compatible. Which they are.

Great advice and pretty much sums up my views and many others. Solid phone that should be bought at a sensible price. Here list is £700 so £500 and it competes well in that pricing.

plastic better because no cracks however glass reduces heating (in certain situations) so basically plastic better but less premium feeling but you use a case

@@nishantgoswami7027 I'd rate it a 70 over 100. I don't play games on my phone but I'm still a heavy user cos I stream a lot i.e music, TH-cam, movies and also video editing, social media management etc. I charge my phone twice a day because I limited the battery capacity to 85%.

@@maasanaeshwar1215 Hi Maasana, I got S21 FE because I don't play games. As per other reviews, you can play casual games but no heavy games or for more longer duration. Overall the phone is good if you get it for below 35k otherwise there are much better options available. Battery is decent (2 times charging in a day) and processor if good for day to day task.

I have S20 FE 5G, should I upgrade to S21 FE?
People complain too much about plastic backs. I'd much rather have a frosted plastic back than a glass back that is more susceptible to shattering. The same way people obsess too much over cameras. At this point we know the cameras are adequate enough. I recently got an s21 plus off Amazon renewed and my brother got the s21 Fe. And there are very little differences between the two. If you can get a great deal on it then it's every bit as premium as the rest of the s21 series. You can get them off Amazon renewed in excellent condition for about $320 which is a much better deal than even the a53 5g.

Totally agree with you on the price! For me the deal breakers are 6.4inch, no charger, battery charging speed, exynos processor and to top it all 55k!! No way.. OnePlus is a better option i feel.
All manufacturers will go the same way as Samsung and Apple at some point. Its just a matter of time.

Techwiser mentioned that if you turn always on display off the battery life improves a lot
Why would someone turn off the always-on display? That's one of the biggest advantages of using an AMOLED display. Techwiser truly provides some bad advices.
@@AeyGee since this phone has slow charging plus no ltpo display, small battery, disabling always on might be a good choice.
@@space0015 If you’re an always-on display user, then you know how much useful it is. I don't have to wake up my phone every time to see the time or notifications. Turning off such an useful feature would be like not using the biggest advantage of an AMOLED display. What's the point?

Here there are two main problem of getting s21fe 5g because it will heat up during charging and anything and the battery drains out more, getting minimum battery backup for 1 day only

About plastic back even if you use a Case eventually dust would get inside the case & scrach up the plastic back

While I get the Point that Dust enters the Case, I can't Visualise Dust Grinding against Plastic as the Phone Remains Stationary inside the Case. 🤨
@@johnnydoe3603 Since case is made of rubber it gets loose due to temp & pressure(in a 1-2 years) & as you hold your phone every time you are pushing against the rubber which will cause the dust particle to rub against the plastic in a tiny manner eventually this will result in lose of paint on the side & markings on the back pannel
This is more evident if you have a phone with metal body with a paint coating on the side

I think s21 fe is better than pixel 6 ..it has better display with 120 hz Better camera system with a telephoto lens and both exynos and sd 888 are slightly better than tensor... pixel 6 is slightly better in photography, software and build quality
