    Hi Micheal. Can Ramana’s transmission/current still be directly felt regardless of location or time?

      Bhagavan is always present in the heart as ‘I am’, which is beyond space and time.

    When we withdraw attention from everything, then aren’t we then automatically attending to Self? It sure feels like it lol. When I stop attending to other songs I feel like I then automatically sink into the peacefulness of awareness watching awareness.

      We never will withdraw attention from *everything* until self-realization. Until then we will be still aware of phenomena like the surroundings of where we practice.
      Careful with Michael Langford, he was so deluded to claim to have realized self and then said he had a heart attack after that.
      That is impossible and nonsense and evidence that Langford is an unrefined source. One needs to stick with Sri Ramana, other sources can only confuse mind.

      @@bernhard1071 Is awareness watching awareness not Self-abidance?

      @@pumpkini586That's the term Langford used and it's a way of describing atma-vichara. However Langford has made many statements which distort Bhagavan's teachings and in fact he is an impostor claiming to be self-realized. That's quite the put off on top of it.

      "Awareness watching awareness" can be misunderstood. What is awareness? Many people have a different perception of that. The awareness Bhagavan talked about is not an object, therefore it cannot really watch itself since in order to watch something there needs to be an object.
      What are one of the many pitfalls of that? People subtly imagining what they think awareness is and then focus attention on that. That is *not* atma-vichara!

    • @bernhard1071
      @bernhard1071 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Also careful with the term "self-abidance". We will never abide in self before realizing self. One cannot experience self as some half-baked teachers claim.
      Self is pure awareness. We experience always a mix of pure awareness and objectified awareness *also* when we practice self-attention.
      There is no need to capitalize self, as that there would be a small self and a big Self, that is misunderstanding Bhagavan. There is only *one* self. The small self cannot and is *NEVER* watching the big Self, if that is believed one has fallen for the many pitfalls on the path.
      A more thorough study of Bhagavan's teaching is required.
