Very poetic yet horrific at the same time, just when Luce thought that she could've controlled the parasites having released all of them into the facility and continue using it's powers, it reduced her into a giant monster and became only a puppet to it's will, and the revelation that Luce was somewhat aware of what was happening to her yet having no control makes it even worse. There wasn't any way of saving Luce at this point, only death could release her from her misery.
