Morgoth is not just "one of the biggest bads" or "bigger than Sauron", he is THE big bad of Tolkien's universe. He is literally the Satan of that world. So yes you are right that he is pretty big haha
Brighter Shores hasn't been "mixed reviews" for a few days now, its positive. it just took people spending some time with the game to actually understand it. 40+ hours in myself so far already its been great!
Fractured is going to a free-to-play model, people who have purchased the game will get bonuses when it does go free to play. I believe it is even still purchasable for any that wants to get in on it and get those bonuses later
Everyone's excited for the new GW2 raid but we'll see if they actually actually play it. The raiding population is small, very small. The devs even said it's niche even when compared to spvp. I'm actually more excited about is that the devs said they are going to try new things to make it easier to get into raiding.
I hope more people give it a try, i just started raiding for the first time last week and it was a blast. Its not super hard and the fights are a lot of fun.
I supported Ashes back in 2019 or 2020, and I do not regret it, but I will tell you that it is 100% not worth it to pay to play the game in the current state. Keep your money.
You and many others are mistaken, The Alpha is for people to play test, which is why they charge so much to dissuade people who just want to try it out and not actively report bugs Alpha is for play testing
@@alexanderclark8586 lol that game has been in Alpha for many years. from 50$ to 100$? LOL still not out or pre launch? what a disappointment. The game's graphics looks outdated, the combat mechanics is mediocre, then you have to pay 3 digits just to play the Pre-Alpha? what do you get after? a thank you for joining and buying our outdated game? Only few people care to report bugs and technical issues. They're not there to pay, play and work for the devs. It's just a massive disappointment. I rather go back to Guild Wars 2 or Play T&L rather than playing Ashes of Creation. Their Character model are lacklustre, Character Armor Model aren't as appealing, Movements are wonky. By now, it should've been changed. But no'1 talking about it. Asian Mmorpg are still better than Western ones tbh. Lack of Creativity on this one.
forgot to mention that if you buy any of the alpha access bundles you get access to both beta's and a month of free game time when it eventually releases
Theres a lot of confusion about the Ashes of Creation price. For the 120 you get access to all of the Alpha testing phases, which are expected to last for a year to year and half, right now its 3 days a week, from december 20th its 5 days a week and from may next year it will be 24/7 access, all of the Beta phases, then one month of game time whenever the game releases (the game will be 15$ a month subscription based) and also some currency for the cosmetic shop. So basically youre buying 2-3 years worth of subscription time all at once for a massive discount. If you were to sub for a year at full price that would be 180 per year so not a bad deal at all imo.
So youre paying a sub to an alpha game ?! What kinda logic is that. You dont even know if this game will turn out good. Why should you pay a price of a 1 year sub for an alpha. There is no deal here at all
@@jaxen231 People who like what they see and want to can do it, im just explaining what you get for the 120 and did a little value comparison as an example.
I'm really interested in Ashes of Creation and looking into it, it does seem they have the cheaper Alpha option. Pantheon wanted nearly 1k to get into their Alpha's/Beta, but 110 for not only an Alpha, but Beta Keys as well?
I started playing a couple weeks ago on the fresh vip server. 800 player peaks and level locked to 50 until moria dlc next month. This game is slept on honestly, really recommend if you like classic wow.
I think they're all out of their mind. It used to be goodwill to test the game during the early phases. People would sign up with an application and be chosen based on perceived merit. I think they're all a scam these days. It's all backwards.
The biggest problem with Brighter shores isn't that it's grindy.. it's that it NULLIFIES your progress WITH more grind. Different zoens have the "exact" same skills but a different name and force you to re-grind. It's gonna need alot of systems changes before it'll be good in that respect.
The grind in brighter shores is fine. I'll grind a new mmo for hours and hours. The problem is it's hardly an mmo with basically 0 player interaction, and combat grinding resets between zones. Really sucks cause the game is so close to being amazing
@DavidWoodMusic no you just get a new stat for fighting in a new zone. So essentially your progress resets if you plan on continuing and not just lingering fighting old mobs in old zones. This exact system was implemented in cube world and singlehandedly killed that game, and it's doing the same here.
@@dear9754 its more complicated than that. I know it seems like that on the surface but later into the game you will realize that you will find your self coming back to the earlier episodes to continue progressing. It actually makes a lot of sense to balance progression for people with limited playtim
@BloachismStrengthandFitness It doesn't make any sense. A players progression should never feel stunted in any way to balance around players who can't fathom being behind. Especially in a game that's hardly even considered multiplayer
@@dear9754 its not stunted at all. You don't lose progress. There is just 20 progressions to master instead of just 5. Anways your right, there really is not a point to play the game right now since they haven't added pvp or trading. But im am going to disagree with you about the progression being poor; its really quite well designed.
Lord of the Rings... so...old. Brighter Shores is almost solely grind to grind. It's just ok. GW2 is a decent game ngl but dated. Could use an upgrade. Has some good systems though. FFXIV is alright. Combat isnt the greatest. I'd love a new FF mmo. FF7 mmo yes please. FF8 mmo yes please. FFX world?? why can't they just do it. Didnt play Thrones and Liberty long. DIdn't like the combat. It is a nice casual game. Definitely not a main mmo or anything. I'm still waiting for that.
i'm gonna try it this week, I am at the steam page now and its Mostly positive atm.

Alpha 2 goes 24/7 365 starting in May. That might be a better value.

If you count diablo like games as MMO's (I am using this phrase very loosely), Path of Exile 2 launches early access in December.
I am hyped for POE2
Super loosely, but yes Poe2 gonna be awesome

Thanks man. I always wanted to play War Hammer Online again. I'm getting that massive installer right now!
you forgot early access corepunk coming in late november. I don't know how good it is but you have to pay for early access on their website.
Eve online expansion dropped yesterday as well
Didnt know they were giving lord of the rings online elves the rings of power treatment, thats disappointing

I've heard that you can play Pantheon by paying the minimum now, which is $50, but I don't see them advertising it in the pledges.
What about corepunk, seems like a nice game from what I seen about it
Brighter shores is great, give it a try before you judge the progression system
Tried playing LOTRO a few times, but the UI is just awful to use.
