So glad you tried and LOVE the game. It has been a great time watching you play FF14. And you will experience so many more amazing moments with this game. Its why FF14 is my MAIN mmo and don't see that changing anytime soon. I LOVE FF14 and so happy you are enjoy these amazing shared experiences with all of us in the community!
I've seen you on Goblin!! I remember telling my bf at the time you had a goofy name we had a giggle. ascian is Ass-eee-in Masayoshi Soken (the composer) is a musical Genius. Dark Knight is a great story and looks like you are leveling it for your upcoming playthrough :) Take your time with the upcoming story :)
Thanks to whichever wonderful human being gave me a month's membership to this channel! I really appreciate it! FFXIV won me over very very quickly when I first played in 2023. I'd come off ESO because I got hit by the microtransaction curse, and PSO2 for the same reason, and finding out that FFXIV's cash shop isn't part of the game and the free trial went right through Stormblood got me to give it a try. The Waking Sands broke me in the BEST way. It made me sit back and pay attention. Since that moment I've been unashamedly hooked on the game. Any story willing to punch you in the gut that hard is worth my time and my money.
Hell yeah, glad to see you're still going! The algorithm decided to stop recommending your videos about 8 months ago, and I thought maybe you took a break from the game. Now I've got like 50 videos to watch lol.
My journey with FFXIV started thanks to a friend as well, back just before 5.1 released, when the free trial only took you to level 35 in ARR. I had just come off of a bad burnout in warframe, and was going to take a long rest from gaming, when said friend who had been playing FFXIV suggested I try it. When I wasn’t convinced, he said to me “you can be a short dragon girl.” I tried the game-realized I had to get HW to be an Au Ra-and leveled out to 35. By then, I was completely hooked. And the rest is history for four years running
Yeah, the note at the end about non-main story stuff that you haven't even dug into is the reason this game's kept me hook beyond just its story. There's so much you can just pick at and dive into, some for short periods of time, some for unreasonably long periods of time. Stormblood's Eureka exploratory content is probably at the top of that list.
I did the same but back during 2020 when the trial only went up to Heavensward/level 60. The game still has absolutely insane content if you do everything. Especially if you do all the crafting and gathering jobs too which each feature their own story. On the free trial you cannot simply buy the crafted quest items from the marketboard, so every craft becomes a quest of it's own, going out to find and gather materials, refine them into components then craft the final high quality item, which is it's own minigame with no guarantee of success. It's far more personal (albeit time consuming) an experience. The novice network being my guild was great too, did coils synced which was epic. Never felt like I needed a sub until I wanted to move on.
Free trial player here since post EW. My experience was kinda black n white since I had no people to hang out beside my older brothers who were been convincing me to play this game. I stopped playing after I finished HW content and I wasn't aware of side contents like Deep Dungeons/Blue Mage spells hunt, not until StB expanded on free trial, I was very excited and that was when I unlock Eureka content. I stopped for few weeks and went back to finish the MSQ and had rough time irl so I spent my whole time progging Eureka. Now all of my jobs are lvl 70 max doing side contents while I'm almost done with my eureka weapons and I'm in good cozy static group doing farming mounts/relic weps/achievements and such. Weekly raids starting ARR as we're currently at coils. Never been so happy, couldn't ask for more im glad you having good time while on free trial! You should try Eureka content/deep dungeon!
I love your content, Caffeinated Dad! Just about every day, I've been checking my Caff Dad notifications, especially now that you're about to reach Shadowbringers (my favorite!). I'll admit that I can be an energy vampire when it comes to this part of the story and you're one of my fav FFXIV TH-camrs. It's just so fun watching this story unfold with new eyes. You're awesome, Caffeinated Dad!
I also enjoy that Zenos' fascination with the WOL is just "oh man, look at this guy, he's living for adventurer and the next big challenge... I love next big challenges and literally nothing else about this miserable planet!"
Coming back after Titan to see the destroyed Waking Sands and carrying out the bodies is what got me hooked to FFXIV. From there, I paid attention to everything and made sure to talk to each NPC from then onwards, seeing so many fascinating interactions and one-off lines of Lore than fleshed out the world. I still do that even now in Dawntrail :D Enjoy the incredible journey of Shadowbringers! It will not disappoint.
I just started playing this a week ago , been subbed though but the story is great and same with the community. Had my free company assist with some hard dungeons for my msq and was never rushed to skip my story. It's been a great experience and recently reached lvl 50 on my black mage completing the first part of the story now onto the next expansion and to see where I'm taken weeeeee
I quit WoW after playing it off and on from 2012 till 2021 for ff14 around may of 2021 and havent looked back since startijng in 2021 till now iv racked up 4100 hours on ff14 its truly a game no like other and i love it, there is still so much for me to do even after 4000+ hrs, Also and IMO the music for ff14 from the start to finish for any content iv done HAS NOT MISSED
Happened to see you tanking my roulette the other day... leveling DRK perhaps. Glad to hear you're enjoying the ride, but buckle up for Shadowbringers it will be quite the experience.
Cant wait for you to get to Shadowbringers. Ive been following you since your first video on 14 and Im so glad you listened to Galactic. Shadowbringers is amazing and we actually named our son after a character in it. (I'll edit this to say who after you get that character to avoid spoilers)
Stb has one of my favorite story moments. When you're in the cell with the redheaded woman, and she sees your journey with her stolen Echo. And she asks you how you keep going after so much loss.
1:48 Is funny that you have a preconception of Final Fantasy XIV from WoW sources as a "weeb game". The other games of the Final Fantasy franchise have always been pretty "serious" in their story even if they look kind of weeb. FF IX is the one more weeb-coded but, as a youtuber said: "Those who play Final Fantasy IX quickly realized that its friendly exterior was just a tiny veiled cover up for the giant box of depression hidden within".
I didn't start off on the trial, maybe I did, but the "you can't do that" stuff ended that quickly if so. ARR was good: basically WoW but with better world building stories. Heavensward was good: basically a WoW expansion, set in a frozen area with dragons and a war between the dragons and men. Had its very good moments, but the one moment that most people get worked up about didn't impact me really because I didn't care about the character that much. Stormblood was very good: I liked that we were split between two new conflicts and being forced to deal with one after attempting to deal with another because we weren't strong enough (I didn't realize the fight before that was an auto-lose. I was playing as bard and just kited him for an hour or so until like 20% health where he stunned me and one shotted me). Post-Stormblood (pre-Shadowbringers bridging content) was exceptional: this was the moment I realized I was playing an amazing story. Stormblood felt like WoW's Legion or a bit better, this, this ramped things up. Shadowbringers was exceptional: when you finish it, hunt down reaction videos to the ending. The tears are warranted. Amazing storytelling. Post-Shadowbringers and Endwalker were both incredible: probably not Shadowbringers level, but they did a great job wrapping up the loose ends of the story that people likely cared about (and even some that I completely forgot about). Endwalker is very much a product of the COVID era though, story wise. A bunch of things came up after Endwalker that basically took me away from the game (I pop on periodically for events mostly), so I can't speak for Dawntrail. But the Hydaelyn (sp?) cycle? If I could be memory wiped and New Game Plus ARR-Endwalker, would definitely do it again. One thing I prefer about it over WoW is that from base game through each of the expansions, we're building towards something. WoW always felt like 'work work work beat the big bad for the game/expansion, Here Comes a New Challenger unrelated to the previous.' If FFXIV's glamour was replaced with GW2's system but with the cleanness of WoW's transmog, it'd be the perfect MMO (for me).
When I started during Stormblood, the trial used to only go to level 35. I believe it changed sometime during early Shadowbringers or right before so it would go to level 50 and the end of ARR patches. After that, it was upgraded to 60 and Heavensward patches. Now with Dawntrail it goes to Stormblood. I imagine Shadowbringers will be in the trial in about a year and a half.
"Who... WHAT are you?" is and always will be one of the best lines in the game. Buckle up, Shadowbringers and Endwalker will be one hell of a ride to the end!
There is only one thing good about Asshat, if you play Lala, at the moment he shows his true colors, he goes into insane bend so he can vent his rage into your face.
Welcome to xiv then! As someone who been here since relaunch 2.0, its always great to see new player experience even to this day. :) May shadowbringers give you joy.
I'm really surprised to hear that people didn't like your first FFXIV video. As a long time XIV player, I thought the observations and jokes you made were hilarious! I guess some people don't have a sense of humor... Well, I'm glad you stuck with the game and have been enjoying it! The best is yet to come :)
You can only do this if you haven't played the trial years ago before because if you did you need another e-mail to register a new account or you have to pay monthly
I just started the game literally one day ago and is true that is slow but I don’t know somehow I like it. I will try to get the best of the free version and then consider paying
I had to laugh a little at 0:15 . After 120 days of in-game time i'm still enjoying the Free Trial (I know im a leech and a blight upon ffxiv but it is fun) Sometimes it can be a bit annoying for group stuff like hunt-trains or S-ranks but over all there is so much to do... (on day i will have all my relic weapons)
Part of the reason the combat feels different as you progress through the expansions is that you don't get all your skills at the levels you're at. ARR combat was really hard when it was current content, partially due to animation lag but also because there were sooo many actions. Ever since then, combat has gotten easier.
I also squeezed around 450 hours out of the free trial. Back when it only went up to lvl 60. I did absolutely everything you cold possibly do in the free trial. Except for Alexander Savage. I did beat Coils thou Minimum Item level. I got all my combat jobs to lvl 60 and then when i finished the story i wanted more and bought the game.
"GW2 story - 6/10", thats sums it up nicely. Not to trash on it, but whenever I was hoping for some deep lore to explore, GW2 turned out to be as deep as a puddle. And there is just so much potential, it became frustrating ^^° Sorry for that little rant. Congrats on beating the Free Trial! Enjoy Shadowbringers, and dont forget your tissues ^.^
GW2 suffers millennial, Josh Weedon writing. Full of "that just happened", 4kids level voice acting and pacing all over the place. Each expansion feels like it was designed by completely different people. The action combat is incredibly good though, that most just ignore the story and smash stuff. No gear treadmill or subscription makes it incredibly unique in an MMO world full of FOMO and old gear being made worthless each content patch.
Wait till you play Shadow Bringers, great story and you're right to have noticed Emet, one of the best villains in any Final Fantasy. Enjoy the spectacle going foward and to be completely cheesy, may you ever walk on the light of the crystal
The community of xiv is a coinflip, 11 years of playing has really driven that point home. They are some of the best and nicest mmo players i have ever met, but also have the massive downside of having the most unhinged terminally online weirdos i have ever seen in a game. Steer clear of the RP community, its not what it used to be by any sense, just a massive group of weirdos/sex addicts that cant tell the difference between a game and reality. Its a shame, because pre-2019 the rp community was amazing.
I'll never understand why people talk down Stormblood. It was bigger and better than Heavensward in every way. But everything people say about Shadowbringers is true, it's storytelling at it's best. I want to say something about Zenos but...
It really is the division in the story, I think. Bouncing between Othard and Ala Mhigo made the story less smooth. And this was also the first expansion we truly left the original city states behind (the subplot of HW had us back in UlDah quite often). It had some high hurdles to climb. Ive come to appreciate SB even more now as the first expansion the WoL felt like a character over a puppet, but its still my fifth favorite expansion of FF14
Loved Stormblood story. It was dark, gritty, emotional. Then Shadowbringers retconned Zenos and isekai'd the story just at it's culmination. Which felt pretty unforgivable, even if Shadowbringers had a fantastic story all it's own. It just should of happened at a cleaner slate.
I agree with you that STB was stronger than people give it credit for. Its themes were grounded and relatable. By contrast, all this god-slaying crap was the stuff that kinda lost me, but everyone else loves it. You'll probably have a similar reaction to DT when you get to it, because it tries to go back to being grounded after all the doom and gloom, and I really enjoyed it while everyone else hated it again.
In a very funny sense, the Warrior of Light would not be that good in protracted military battle. Namely, the Warrior of Light is both that powerful and equipped to deal with legions of people and is therefore a diversion you can always exploit, but if you do station the Warrior of Light somewhere public and they bring their best and that best contends with the Warrior of Light then that’s it. The Warrior of Light feels more like a tool to punch upwards at the root of a problem. This means that the stories involving the Warrior of Light tend to be stories where you figure out the root of the problem and bypass military engagement. That was done with ARR (bumrushing the three Eorzean Castrums and the Praetorium before Gaius/Lahabrea is set up), Heavensward (you are literally a party of four figuring out whether dragonkind can be reasoned with, and they can’t currently, but currently Thordan is really racing to take advantage of this endless war to be an eternal ruler who can stop dragons and has killed your supporter), Shadowbringers (by cooling through all the Lightwardens it is very clear Emet-Selch instigated stuff, and he can’t take that you are an imperfect solution to his problem), and Endwalker (after literally running from place to place, you can figure out that Meteion is a thing) and even Dawntrail, because the armies of Alexandria are weirdly are incompetent. Meanwhile, when you are running around you are easily manipulated (post-ARR, Stormblood). That suggests that part of the issue of Stormblood, beyond the issue of Lyse, the caricatured villains save Fordola, and the running back and forth, is the fact that Stormblood is not just a straight power fantasy.
3:00 makes no sense. In the early 2010s wow was not at its peak. It was going through its Mists of Pandaria expansion, the most divisive one and FF14 had just launched ARR
There have been a handful of games that made me feel disrespected. Pretty much as soon as i sense that the devs and/or the publish doesnt value me, i drop the game. Does my one less player count matter in the grand scheme of things? Probably not. Its just a matter of principle. Ive played FFXIV for nearly an entire decade. Ive never felt disrespected by the devs. Thats not to say i think its a perfect game or the devs are perfect people instituting perfect business practices. But perfection isn't what matters. It isnt hard to respect a player (or consumer). It isnt. Thats all i ask of devs of live service games. Just respect me and respect my time.
Regarding Stormblood and people's negative pre-disposition towards it, there's two main factors. None of what I say here will include spoilers for future content. The first is the fact that it's a very politically-focused story, compared to the operatic narrative of Heavensward and the emotional grandure of Shadowbringers and Endwalker, and a lot of players who come to Final Fantasy for the 'fantasy' were put off by it. The second is an unfortunate misogyny issue that a large portion of the playerbase (especially those not used to examining media critically alongside their own biases) suffers from regarding Lyse as a lead character, and this issue also carries over into ARR with Minfilia and DT with Wuk Lamat. All of these characters have very clear male analogies in other media that people love, but sadly they don't see the similarities here. Something to keep in mind regarding people's opinions of expansion stories is that many people are saying those things from a 'this is how I felt at the time' point, rather than a retrospective stance that takes the full saga into account. ARR may be a very standard story template and be quite slow at points, but it sets up things that are still being paid off in both main story and side content over a decade later. Stormblood for many is the odd expansion out in terms of tone, compared to HW, SHB, EW etc, but it contains some of the most important narrative keystones of the entire 1.0-6.0 arc of the game's story. There's more I could say on this topic specifically, but I am unable to do so spoiler-free until you reach the current endgame. As a long-time player, I look forward to your continued journey.
Bruh it's not misogyny that I don't like lyse, minfilia, and am getting sick of wuk lamat... I worship Shatotto. Minfilia felt useless, lyse didn't understand or connect with the people she said she cared about and barely helped us with ANYTHING during stormblood it felt. Wuk lamat still comes across as clueless and naive as she was the start of her journey. This isn't because they're women, i hated alisae AND alphinuad because it's their behavior and actions. The writing gave me a story of Alphinaud growing up, maturing, accepting and growing from his mistakes and flaws. Alisaes first character redemption arc is stuck in coils which is optional and i never did. Yet i see her still put her hands on her brother like she's going to hurt him. She's much better now but i absolutely hate seeing her harm her brother despite it being "humorous" You can call sexism, misogyny, etc all you want but I love the female characters on the same basis i love the male characters, their behavior overall. I loved seeing mwerybs arc, even earlier scenes telling alphinaud that as leader of her own nation she had their best interests at heart first and not this grand dream alph can't even fund. The seedseer in the role quests later took part in the front lines helping to keep her people safe. And it's not just combat, Tataru has grown into a confident miracle worker and while I found her cute at first i honestly didn't care about any of the scions until Tataru decided she herself would try to keep the scions out of debt with her various attempts at various trades. Never on the Frontlines but always looking after us.
@@elgatochurro You claim it's not misogyny. And yet you claim Minfilia is useless when she's the leader of the scions, does an incredible amount of political manoeuvring over the course of the story and is called to a higher purpose post-ARR. Just because her character arc took place in 1.0 and she's not an active combatant, does not mean she's useless. You also claim that Lyse doesn't understand or connect with people, and barely helps us. She is a refugee from her home country who struggles to connect with her own people due to fleeing the country at a young age, a theme core to her arc and directly spoken of multiple times in the text. She not only rallies the peoples of two separate nations under garlean rule to rebel, but leads the charge herself and then proceeds to help Ala Mhigo rebuild as a standalone nation. Next, while I have to limit my examples with Wuk Lamat due to spoilers, Wuk Lamat's character template is identical to that of an extremely popular character from modern media, Naruto Uzumaki. Both of them are characters who believe in the best of humanity, trust fully and wholeheartedly, are mainly emotion-driven, and refuse to be broken by the world around them even after being shown the worst side of the villains of their story, who are a direct mirror to themselves. One of these characters is widely beloved, and the other is decried by many. You also say you never bothered to do Coils, which means you do not have the full picture of her as a character. I do also hate physical altercations as a basis of humour, but you cannot rightfully comment on her character without doing that content. Finally, while you give example of three female characters who you like, take note of the fact that all of these characters are background or supporting roles, and not primary members of the stories they are part of as with Minfilia in ARR, Lyse in Stormblood, and Wuk Lamat in Dawntrail. Multiple studies have been done that show that women are perceived as being the majority voice of a conversation even when they speak less, and mixed-gender groups perceive there to be an equal representation of men and women when there are significantly less women, while an actual equal amount is perceived to be a greater number of women. One such study is linked here: pure.mpg.de/rest/items/item_68785_7/component/file_506904/content My statement of Misogyny is not an accusation at any one person, and my points made are not an attack against you. They are a showcase of the unfortunate state of mind of a *significant* portion of the english-speaking western world, including women and not just men, who hold subconscious biases and fail to realise how deeply they affect our interactions with the world around us. I can hardly call myself free of these biases myself, much as I continue to work to remove them. Thank you for proving my point.
@@acerayquaza "And yet you claim Minfilia is useless when she's the leader of the scions, does an incredible amount of political manoeuvring over the course of the story" She did hardly anything worthwhile I remember... at all, in fact no one seems to know she did ANYTHING at all. being a leader and sending lackies to do the work isnt even worth noting. "Lyse not only rallies the peoples of two separate nations under garlean rule to rebel, but leads the charge herself and then proceeds to help Ala Mhigo rebuild as a standalone nation." Again, nothing really worthwhile. Nothing we weren't already doing. She came in and didnt even try to understand their plight before demanding they throw their lives away for her. she starts off going into it no better than Alisae and Alisae at least has the hindrance of naive youth. "Wuk Lamat's character template is identical to that of an extremely popular character from modern media, Naruto Uzumaki." EWWWWWW NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, THAT GARBAGE OF A CHARACTER AND ANIME??? "who believe in the best of humanity, trust fully and wholeheartedly, are mainly emotion-driven, and refuse to be broken by the world around them even after being shown the worst side of the villains of their story, who are a direct mirror to themselves." THATS THE PROBLEM, SHE IS STILL A CHILD "You also say you never bothered to do Coils, which means you do not have the full picture of her as a character." Yeah but it was optional content, side content, and I still have the previous behavior of Alisaes growing temper tantrums and running off to solo save Eorzea. nothing you say would or could actually make me want to do old redundant content for that part of the story for a character Ive utterly hated... maybe its better? cool but im already fine despising her guts. Finally, while you give example of three female characters who you like, take "note of the fact that all of these characters are background or supporting roles, and not primary members of the stories they are part of as with Minfilia in ARR, Lyse in Stormblood, and Wuk Lamat in Dawntrail." You're right, and they're far better regardless, go have your girl power moment elsewhere, hell im playing a chick. Moonbreda, Merwlb, and Kanna a senna were all active, the girls in my conjuration to white amge quest line were active, they did not just sit around and have me work for them. You claim sexism yet the same can be said about what? The men, we havent been talking about them, and you ignore them completely because girl power obsession... pretty sexist tbh. "My statement of Misogyny is not an accusation at any one person, and my points made are not an attack against you. They are a showcase of the unfortunate state of mind of a significant portion of the english-speaking western world, including women and not just men, who hold subconscious biases and fail to realise how deeply they affect our interactions with the world around us. I can hardly call myself free of these biases myself, much as I continue to work to remove them." youre not going to win the sexism arguemtn tbh... The West has very pro female laws such as alimony, divorce courts, child support, and more. imagine even saying that the West is bias against women when you can lose your job, your house, your car, your pets, your kids, and your life at the whim of a woman lying in the West. Should I grab the false rape reports too like Mattress girl? oh and dont forget, when a woman rapes a man the news calls it "forced sex" and babies can undergo non consensual genital mutilation in the west only if theyre a man. This along with the constant white man bad narrative found in modern western media as well as DEI hiring processes and how Covid shutdowns and "essneital workers" were found to be made specicially to benefit anyone who wasnt a white man. th-cam.com/video/_45ts5YOFuw/w-d-xo.html "man doesnt throw away his life for random woman" "man who made a breakthrough in science is now having to apologize for wearing a shirt women found offensive" th-cam.com/video/WheYVFL2Nqw/w-d-xo.html
Why do I have an awkward secondhand embarrassment about 7.0 ... good thing the worst expansion is not included in the free trial.... What an incredible video. I wish I knew you of your channel sooner so I could watch your journey.
Shadowbringers is the best FF14 gets, it sets such a high standard Endwalker was kinda doomed to fail in some sense. Dawntrail isn't as bad as some say, but they did make some questionable choices, its review bombed into oblivion by a loud minority but people still play and enjoy it
i love people enjoying the game the game is realy good but after they took away my paid expension after a break whitout giving the money back im sure il never play with a paid account again if a company can decide on them selves to remove your acces to content you paid for id play for free. not worth it to rebuy a expension i already paid for
As long as you have a friend with paid membership it doesn’t really matter too much not having market access I’m currently at 200 hours and in post heavensward and the only thing that is annoying is inventory space when leveling crafters and gatherers

Because you took the time to take in the story from the beginning. From here on out is just a rollercoaster.
Friendly reminder, Yoshi-P has stated that the Free Trial is likely to keep expanding in the future, which is WILD since I think most people never thought they would add Stormblood, let alone potentially Shadowbringers as well at some point down the line.

I think that's the best and worst part, I start second-guessing everything I am seeing and over analyzing all the thoughts I had each major moment
Oh boy, shadowbringers is going to be a ride, have fun ❤
Appreciate your attention to detail and dedication to XIV.
I'd like to mention that Papalymo's sacrifice was sure to work.
Nothing with a "shin" can resist the sort of kneecapping a lalafel can dish out.
Never been so happy, couldn't ask for more
im glad you having good time while on free trial! You should try Eureka content/deep dungeon!
I remember your first FF14 video and I was happy to see it and then to see you stick with it!
I've been enjoying seeing your journey up to this point and look forward the rest of it :)
Oof, seeing the "Finest pupil's ally" title gave me the feels!
I still do that even now in Dawntrail :D
Enjoy the incredible journey of Shadowbringers!
14 isnt a mmo with a story slapped on, its a story put in an mmo format, I wouldn't pay a sub to play any other game, yoshi p is the one true god
Yeah. In this, NPCs come to fight with u as the story progresses. And all this will be coming to the Mobile version later too.
ishikawa deserves atleast 50% of the credit that yoshi-p deserves its also why dawntrail was a misstep
And then Yawntrail happened
Great video, looking forward to more!
Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Galactic Gigachad thank you for your hard work
Soloing Nidhogg extreme as a dragoon is one of my personal favorite moments I had in game 😊
1:48 Is funny that you have a preconception of Final Fantasy XIV from WoW sources as a "weeb game". The other games of the Final Fantasy franchise have always been pretty "serious" in their story even if they look kind of weeb. FF IX is the one more weeb-coded but, as a youtuber said:
"Those who play Final Fantasy IX quickly realized that its friendly exterior was just a tiny veiled cover up for the giant box of depression hidden within".
I imagine Shadowbringers will be in the trial in about a year and a half.
good luck with shadowbringer :)
I wanted to like the guy but he refused that entirely out of pure spite
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU
One of the only games that has ever made me cry. About 1100 hours well spent before i moved on
Welcome to xiv then!
I loved heavensward so much. The story was incredible.
Shadowbringers and Endwalker are the best expansions story wise imo, enjoy de ride ;)
9:50 YES. DIBS. HE KILLSTOLE US.
Always love seeing another new player ensnared in the best mmo in the common era 😌
Oh I love the unlimited free trial, I was on that for like 2 years just doing all the random side stuff.
The shackles are about to drop off too. Welcome to the other side of realizing well shit, this is a good game!
I've been saying that for quite a while I mean cmon now lol
I just started the game literally one day ago and is true that is slow but I don’t know somehow I like it.
I will try to get the best of the free version and then consider paying
Meracidia. (Mare-uh-CID-dee-uh) xD
Here's hoping you continue to enjoy your time in the game. Forge Ahead, my friend!!
Stand tall, Brave Little Spark!
If you loved Zenos, you will ADORE Emet Selch. He's a huge part of the reason why Shadowbringers is considered the best expansion...
You should really look forward to getting to know Tesleen
To borrow a phrase:
Dad is not prepared!
Part of the reason the combat feels different as you progress through the expansions is that you don't get all your skills at the levels you're at. ARR combat was really hard when it was current content, partially due to animation lag but also because there were sooo many actions. Ever since then, combat has gotten easier.
Does anyone know what armor was Caffeinated Dad wearing in The Vault clips?
I think it is the dreadwyrm gear. You get it from the coils of bahamut, turn 2 . Check eorzeacollection, dreadwyrm set of maiming
@@chrisdiekrasse4420 Thank you
If you were that invested from just up to stormblood be ready for one of the most exciting journeys for the next two expacs :)
Two years for me...
hes not flirting, he is fanboying, people desperate to make it look weird.
They hate joy
i see thorden for 8 hours every week
Best friends right?
Would not be hard these days to play for even 2 years on a free trial. Back when I started the free trial was to 15. So much I still haven't done
Welcome to Shadowbringers!
What's your favorite class so far?
"GW2 story - 6/10", thats sums it up nicely. Not to trash on it, but whenever I was hoping for some deep lore to explore, GW2 turned out to be as deep as a puddle. And there is just so much potential, it became frustrating ^^°
Sorry for that little rant.
I really want to play the game but it sucks that having paid for it once before I can never go back until I pay for it again.
Say it with me, everyone, one brings shadow one brings light...
Wait till you play Shadow Bringers, great story and you're right to have noticed Emet, one of the best villains in any Final Fantasy. Enjoy the spectacle going foward and to be completely cheesy, may you ever walk on the light of the crystal
Enjoy the thing while it lasts Caff
*cough cough* …Dawntrail…
*cough cough* …Wuk Lamat…
Enjoy Shadowbringers. It's going to be a ride.
Listen to Answers again AFTER you get through Endwalker.
Welcome to Shadowbringers. It only goes harder.
Welcome and Enjoy I guess? 😅🖖
I feel bad for rushing the realm reborn
6:56
Teledji Adeledji
hf with ShB, best expansion in my opinion with no downsides
3:00 makes no sense.
In the early 2010s wow was not at its peak. It was going through its Mists of Pandaria expansion, the most divisive one and FF14 had just launched ARR
Tell me you only paid half attention to the story without telling me you only paid half attention to the story: "Yda was never a real person"
Imagine he playing shadowbringers man....
You are not prepared for Shadowbringers, enjoy.
She's much better now but i absolutely hate seeing her harm her brother despite it being "humorous"
You can call sexism, misogyny, etc all you want but I love the female characters on the same basis i love the male characters, their behavior overall.
One such study is linked here: pure.mpg.de/rest/items/item_68785_7/component/file_506904/content
My statement of Misogyny is not an accusation at any one person, and my points made are not an attack against you.
@acerayquaza you can defend it all you want but it doesn't change that what I said rings true.
And yet still you'll call misogyny
"who believe in the best of humanity, trust fully and wholeheartedly, are mainly emotion-driven, and refuse to be broken by the world around them even after being shown the worst side of the villains of their story, who are a direct mirror to themselves." THATS THE PROBLEM, SHE IS STILL A CHILD
"You also say you never bothered to do Coils, which means you do not have the full picture of her as a character." Yeah but it was optional content, side content, and I still have the previous behavior of Alisaes growing temper tantrums and running off to solo save Eorzea. nothing you say would or could actually make me want to do old redundant content for that part of the story for a character Ive utterly hated... maybe its better? cool but im already fine despising her guts.
I can hardly call myself free of these biases myself, much as I continue to work to remove them."
youre not going to win the sexism arguemtn tbh...

Shadowbringers is the best
Have you tried ESO or SWTOR?
He’s done a couple videos on ESO but not SWTOR
Comment for statistics
Why do I have an awkward secondhand embarrassment about 7.0 ... good thing the worst expansion is not included in the free trial....
What an incredible video. I wish I knew you of your channel sooner so I could watch your journey.
Shadowbringers is the best FF14 gets, it sets such a high standard Endwalker was kinda doomed to fail in some sense. Dawntrail isn't as bad as some say, but they did make some questionable choices, its review bombed into oblivion by a loud minority but people still play and enjoy it
i love people enjoying the game the game is realy good but after they took away my paid expension after a break whitout giving the money back im sure il never play with a paid account again if a company can decide on them selves to remove your acces to content you paid for id play for free. not worth it to rebuy a expension i already paid for
You pronounced "Emet" correctly, but "Selch" is pronounced like "Selk".
Too bad it doesn't include Endwalker & Dawntrail..
One year on free trial sounds like a nightmare to me 😂
As long as you have a friend with paid membership it doesn’t really matter too much not having market access I’m currently at 200 hours and in post heavensward and the only thing that is annoying is inventory space when leveling crafters and gatherers
