Be kind of weird if the Home One didn't win this fight though? It's about twice the population and cost. A more even match would be the Home One vs the Allegiance Battlecruiser.
Not a fair fight. The MC-80 has much more health and shieldpoints than the ISD. Plus the Ion Cannons of the MC-80 shredding shields in seconds. Even ISD shields.
the point isn't to have a fair fight, but rather to showcase battles that we would not normally see or did not get to see happen on camera. Home One most definitely fought ISD II's during the battle of Endor, but we did not get to see much of it in the film itself. Thanks to the game, we can get a rendition of what could have possibly happened.
i'm curious how do you make these? The instant action mode in my version doesn't seem to work well. The ships all spawn right next to each other and facing the same direction and I still haven't figured out how to make them fight.
lol I just checked a Woops-pedia real quick and found out this is indeed MC80 but with an "A" abbreviation. It's utterly ridiculous to put this in the same category it's like rockheed developed a new 7'th gen fighter capable of intercepting incoming decepticon fleet at the mars orbit and decided to call it an F16x or something
1. MC85 INDEPENDENCE CLASS 2. You put a BATTLECRUISER against a mere Destroyer? Unfair to begin with... 3. Home one and Independence are both capable of handling 2 or 3 ISD II's at the same time given their actualy refitted to be warships and not mere upgraded passager liners. Those 2 where the MOST POWERFULL the alliance wielded, one lost at endor with the second shot of the DS2 sadly (after they targeted the Liberty first wich was basicaly the beacon of hope in the entire alliance fleet so that choice was to demoralize the rebels, nothing else(Even in the new canon the liberty is among the most famous ships in the rebel fleet). So AGAIN : You cant do that stuff in a game! Even thou this time the outcome was real. An independence class battlecruiser is bigger, has more fighters and bombers than an ISD and better shields and weapons (turbolasers that aim as fast and precise as lasers? Yep, poor tie's without shield XD). So no way the destroyer is able to hold its own. You even see the Home One (as she was the 2nd and only surviving MC85 at endor) SHADOWING an entire ISD2 below her in the movie. She didnt make it look as puny as the executor, but we saw she is CLEARLY bigger.
no idea if you’ve seen my other comment on a different video but in case you haven’t i’ll try to simplify it here: IT’S NOT ABOUT FAIRNESS. the reason I make these is to fulfill matchups that people have asked for OR to show the result of matchups that we see in the movies but don’t necessarily get to see the details or results of. Home One most definitely slugged it out with an ISD II at the battle of Endor alone. We never get to see that on screen in detail, so I recreate it here. It’s the same thing when I put a Venator against an Imperial, it isn’t because I think the Venator stands a chance in-game. The reason I do it is to show the power gap between the vessels that both once claimed roles as the main capital ships of the Republic/Empire. I do appreciate the knowledge you seem to have, and if there is any matchup you’d like to see feel free to leave a comment! Edit: Also the game has the rebel vessel classified as an MC80 Home One type, not an MC85 Independence. Regardless of if that is correct to the lore or not, the game has it listed as such so that is what I refer to it as. Sometimes the mods are not as accurate as we would like, however, once again, this isn't about the matches being balanced but rather to showcase fights that people would like to see!

People be taking this so personally like they actually worked on engineering the ISD themselves lol.
They care more than the Emperor did in either canon or Legends.
My favourite NR ship, it has such good staying power that lasts even into later eras

The fighters could have been more efficient with their bombs, but eh, they still won easily.

to make them fight press the cinema button on the bottom left or like the cinema logo thing and click off of it and thye fight

No, it is not. It is a MC80A, basically a MC80 without the wings. And the model in the video looks pretty much like a MC80A.
I believe it is an MC80A according to the wiki and the ingame text
