    You look beautiful. Your skin is really nice, and all your colors are great. I think the amazing thing about going grey is that as your skin becomes more dull against dark hair, as your hair turns silver your face is illuminated, and your skin looks so much fresher and younger. Dark hair becomes very severe with age.

      I totally agree! I think I noticed this once I started going grey. Dark hair looks very harsh as you get older. Thank you for watching!

    Beauty comes from the inside and your hair looks amazing! I also went natural during COVID and now I just use a color gloss from time to time to add a little color and shine but washes out all over (so no roots). I’ve decided to age gracefully despite what my friends and family think. You do you. You are beautiful. ❤

      Beauty does come from the inside, aging has taught me that. Women should be able to make a decision for or against without feeling like they can only choose one. It's really amazing how this standard has kept women doing the same things over and over. Time for change!

    I absolutely love your hair! I have been growing mine out since January 2022 so around 18 months now and I only have a tiny bit of coloured ends around the front as I have my hair in a bob. Mine is silver around the front too ☺️ and still have lots of my natural brown at the back. Some days I love it and some days I long for blonde highlights that I had for many years but then someone will say how stunning my hair is and it gives me a little confidence boost 💗 I 100% agree that it’s such a nice feeling to be natural and have healthy hair!

      Thank you so much! Yes it’s always nice when someone comments on your hair and I can definitely say I get more compliments now than I ever did which seems odd! Congrats on growing out your hair!

    Your awesome.. What's really cool is today there are tons of young women in transition. Finally after millions and millions of examples some are finally posting.. Its a big thing like lots of things in life.. Because the massive population explosion. Today women don't want modern day slavery to hair color when women everywhere look awesome in transitions.. Congrats.

    Thank you for this video! I’m in my mid fifties, and I’ve had salt and pepper hair at the top of my head, but my natural hair color around my face, which is kind of medium brown. This has been the case for at least three years, so going without coloring my hair has been kind of difficult for me since the color difference is so significant. So watching videos here on TH-cam has been really helpful for me. I think I need a strategy for me to transition to grey hair. I have discussed a little bit with my hairdresser, and from what she recommended (she recommended stripes in the transition phase), and from watching here, what I probably end up with is coloring my hair some kind of ash tone, as it seems like the hair around my face has toned down a bit and is less warm now, and then stipe in some light grey stripes to make the roots at the top of my head blend in as they grow out. So with the rest of my hair in an ash tone, the “pepper” part will not contrast as much either.

      Each person has their own journey in the grey transition. They have to figure out what the best thing is for themselves. I know it’s hard but having others who have done it before helps.

    I absolutely love the silver tone! It looks so elegant and made me seriously think about letting my hair "age" as I do!

    I just decided to embrace my grey “era” 😂 I’m so excited! I also have a pixie cut and have had it for like the past 10 years or so. So I’m transitioning to grey and growing out my hair again. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I love your hair by the way.

    I liked the video first before I even watched it lol. Thank you for sharing your journey! I started the same time you did and then I colored it January 22. I have been ready but not getting support I want and my mom did same thing as a matter of fact when I colored it again she said she was happy because seeing me with grey made her feel even older but I keep telling her im not happy coloring anymore Im sick of it

    • @shantisangit
      @shantisangit  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s not easy when your mom doesn’t support, I understand, but ultimately you have to do what makes you happy 😊

    I can totally understand the constant coloring. To be honest, I should color every two weeks lol... I am in the should I or shouldn't I stop coloring stage. I am going to try to stop as I am tired of revolving my life around "how gray will it be that day" type of thing. Thank you for sharing.

    Thank you for sharing your experience and journey! I've been comtemplating going "natural", but I'm not ready emotionally, yet. It's unfair that once women show their natural grey, they're perceived as old. I often feel that i would be perceived as unattractive or not relevant in my job field. I recognize that this is faulty thinkning, placed by a male domintated society. Also, one of the other reasons why I've hesistated, is my complexion medium -olive skin tone. I feel that I look very dull. I want to find hair color that brings balance and brightness to my complexion. Blessings, Shanti!

    • @shantisangit
      @shantisangit  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh I also thought i would be unattractive but beauty is within...I know that may sound cliche but it's true! In terms of being medium olive skin toned, I am probably similar to you and you can see how it looks on me! That's why it's so important to share. You do it in your time IF you want to. No one should feel pressured either way.

      I so understand that! I have a golden undertone and feel the grey washes me out so that is my #1 reason for hesitating and resisting so long

    I forgot to ask how long did it take you to grow out your hair? I feel like I will struggle more with the growing out the length than with the grey.

    • @shantisangit
      @shantisangit  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It took about 1 1/2 years but I did do a chop 2 times. That made it a bit more bearable…
