    Thank you for the glowing review. It really means a lot to me a lot to me when someone appreciates the detail and thought I put into my products. Also, I'm very sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I was swamped getting the new Limited Edition Halloween Educational Lock and Pins printed and I also had to code the "Authentication" system for those locks.
    Let me comment on a few things you mentioned:
    1) We do actually offer a version of the Lock Gutting Station that already has the pinning tray built in for those that don't have the Sparrows Mini Mats.
    2) As for the prices of things like handles costing more than they seem worth. You are 100% correct that it isn't about the amount of plastic when it comes to these. Its about the time. Most prints I can start and walk away from and let them print. With the handles I have to stay by the printer and pause the print half way up. Then I insert the actual brand of lock picks into the handles while still on the printer. I resume the print and this makes 100% sure that the gap for the pick is perfect for that brand. If I don't do this, the plastic can "droop" and make it too tight for the picks to fit. That's why I offer a quantity discount for 4 or more handles. I have to stand by the printer for 1 so I give a discount when I can do 4 or more at once.
    As a MASSIVE thank you to you for sharing this with your subscribers, here is a coupon code for you and your subscribers to use for 15% off! : ENTERSANDMAN
    Please note this will work on everything on the site excluding the following: SWAG (shirts, hats, etc), Stickers, Locks, and the Limited Edition Halloween Educational Lock and Pins.
    The coupon code will work one time per customer.
    Also just as a reminder, all orders from now until October 31st will get a free 3D printed challenge coin as well!
    Again, thank you SOOOO much for this amazing review!

    When I won the Lock Gutting Station two years ago from the Average Pickers Lock Toss Comp it changed my whole gutting set up. I now had somewhere to place all my gutting tools apart from the circlip pliers and screwdrivers. It is so handy, doesn't take up much space and I no longer keep my tools in a tin box that I had stashed on a bench that ended up always getting other stuff put on top of. It was the beginning of my lockspace getting organized. I also won with it a 3D pinning tray from Bobby Keys with my name on it. They both came in the colour of my choice which is purple. When I am out and about everything in the Gutting station apart from the gut wrench goes into my purple 3D mobile gutting box which has space for followers, tweezers, torch, shims and things. The lid is a pinning tray with a space to hold the lock and bits. So when I am going to be out and about I just transfer everything from the gutting station into the mobile gutting station, quick and easy transfer of tools. When i get home I unload everything back to where it belongs. I still use the cardboard pinning trays I made at the start of my locksport journey though on camera I like to use my 3D pinning trays and gutting station. Great review of this product Sandman, I don't like those floppy pinning matts, i have one from tag industries but would loose pins and springs every time I lifted it to transfer it to another sport so I don't use it. The gutting station for those floppy matts really does solve that issue. Cheers

      I agree completely. I love my mats only when I don’t move them. And I never do. But that is a good point, you can move this tray around while a pinning mat you can’t, if it has pins in it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Dude I love 3Dlocksport and their items. I’ve been using their Abomination (largest version) for years and love it. The only downside to their Abomination is that Peterson handles are the largest they accommodate. My bare bones coffin handles or my Jimy Longs won’t fit in the pick slots. This one you reviews for the sparrows mats are very practical.

    • @sandman_locksport
      @sandman_locksport  ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. Could you do me a favor? could you measure the height of your abomination at its tallest point? I want to make sure I can fit my moki picks inside the abomination slots and have enough clearance under my shelf that is on my wall to pull the picks out of their slot without hitting the shelf. Thanks for watching!

    • @SnakePicks
      @SnakePicks ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sandman_locksport Tallest part of abomination is 3 3/16th inches. If I place my Moki pick inside the rear most pick slots where it’s highest, the pick is about 6 and half inches above my desk, so that is your minimum clearance if you want Moki’s in them.

    Love the video! One thing I found funny was you referring to your followers in thousandths xD nah man, that's in inches. That's 0.5 of an inch!

    • @sandman_locksport
      @sandman_locksport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah, I should have said "five hundred thousandths of an inch" or "half inch" either is correct. I'm a wood worker. I'm used to .00 and .000, and .0000, but I never use .0 , I can handle fractions and read a tape measure better than most but it's hard to sound intelligent behind a camera reading a script. Case in point, just look at Joe Biden and Kamala Harris when they talk.

    I would highly recommend getting a 3d printer depending on how much money you are willing to spend on 3d printed stuff in the first place, yeah, the original price of a printer can be expensive (though you can get a decent one for about £200), but then you can get a lot printed on a cheep aliexpress roll of petg for £10 a kilo.
    I have a similar tray/station, some 3d printed plug followers and some eurolock holders printed, all printed in about 1.5kg worth of material. Theres a nice amount of 3d models on places like thingiverse you can download for free too.
    Obviously, the downside is finding the space for a printer in your home, and learning how to use it. Though as ine of my hobbies personally, that part is a lot of fun!
    Heck if you want to go further, you could even learn to design your own models for any really specific needs you might have.

    • @sandman_locksport
      @sandman_locksport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are nice considerations, but I’m just not much of a creator outside of woodworking. I just wish the handles be sells weren’t so expensive.

    • @jbcdu87
      @jbcdu87 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @sandman_locksport Yeah that's fair honestly, 3d printing is its own hobby in it's own right, if you ever change your mind, something like the ender3 tends to be everyone's starting point, in the meantime, if you ever have a 3d model of something you would like to print as a one off, there plenty of websites like protolab that would print you what you want, in the material that you want, maybe its even cheaper than some alternatives too. Thanks for the awesome videos as always dude :)

    • @sandman_locksport
      @sandman_locksport  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jbcdu87 thanks brother, if I decide to get into it, I'll reach out to you! It is intriguing. He has 3d handles for sparrows and law lock and dangerfield, but they are $9 each. I would need to spend $100-$200 on just handles alone to cover a valyrian set from law lock tools, at that rate it would be more affordable to buy the printer lol. but, i completely recognize hes using a very professional high level printer, and his costs cover his expenses. but for my simple needs of just needing a single or a set of handles, i can probably get away with a $200 3D printer. I'll definitely think about it.

      @@BonaFideWildLife not really. You probably won’t gut much master or American locks with a smaller follower, a standard single follower is all you need for now, until you get into high security European locks. But I still use the same follower, just with shims.
