GD Warrior I recently purchased my first warrior 1700. 2003 year. It has a 240mm rear tire along with some other mods. The guy before me cut the pipes, which I'd say were just the stock... anyway, it sounds good and super loud but with the power programmer, it backfires... should I weld some tips to it or change the exhaust or tune? Thanks. Sweet bike btw.
Johnny Boy what's up brother?! Most likely it needs a dyno tune. I don't trust and don't believe in auto tuners. Get a real dyno and a custom map specifically for your bike! That should handle the backfire or popping issue
GD Warrior thanks for the reply. I have black levers on mine... not sure if they are stock or after market... but I broke the clutch one... so I'm trying to repaint the new one I have... you have a place to get parts and stuff? Thanks again for all info.
I really am in love with these bikes! Right now i'm 20 and soon i'm going to start with my bike license. I'm planning to get a yamaha xv 535 as a starter bike, and after a few years i think i will get one of these! I just really like the looks of these bikes 😍 (and sound ofcourse)

GD, nice video, other than the length, what is the difference between the monster pro and the roadster? I've seen a utube of a guy with the monster pro shortened by 8 inches, to about the same length as the roadster, looks the same but the roadster looks to be larger diameter. True? Which do you prefer for power and sound? I can't decide
What exhaust have you found to be good on the warrior? Looking in roughly the $600 range and was considering PCS roadster if they are till being made... What's your experience with them? Currently I run stock exhaust with the "water heater" muffler Removed. I'm going to do a DIY VBAK.
That’s actually a road star xV1700. It’s not a fuel injected engine that’s why it sounds a little different. The exhaust I think is either a Reinhard or maybe Krome exhaust but I could be wrong. I would also think maybe Vance and Hines

Go for the Yamaha Raider... it has the 113ci/1900cc motor. As someone who owns one, you wont regret it lol

all 2002-2010 yamaha road star warrior XV1700PC are fuel injected. All road star XV1700 models 2001-2012? are carb
