Man that is a nice review of this kayak. I have not seen this kayak at Walmart yet but I have seen them at Dick's Sporting Goods & this is the older models that I am saying I haven't seen the new 2022 yet. Can't wait to see your on the water review with this kayak. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and sharing it.
Just picked one up at Walmart for under 300 because it had a scratch. (It’s totally a surface scratch- no compromise to the hull whatsoever). Can’t wait to get it out-first kayak.
Nice! I bought an evoke fishing kayak at Dicks (already on sale) and I pointed out a scratch, just in passing, like no big deal.. But they said ok we'll knock another 30% off. Damn!!!! I wasn't even complaining about it lol.
I got one and wish it had access to the rear inside and floor area or even flat areas to add Deck Hatches for inside dry storage. I'm fixing to add a Trolley Anchor System and the only access is from the front which is going to make the job a chore LOL
Great review! My wife loves her Yukon so much we added another to our collection as a spare! Hers came in gray, the spare is blue. I added SeaDek to hers to improve traction, keep the cockpit cooler, and dramatically quiet noise from moving around in it. Stay safe!
I have been looking at these. I really like the length and open cockpit design. I'm going to subscribe cause I want to see your on water review and mods. Right now , I fish a Lifetime Tamarack. Not sure of the year. 10 ft. Molded foot rests. I have added a stadium seat, fishfinder and rod holders, anchor trolly and crate. It's seeming just a bit small!
This kayak has been great. Last summer I used my buddies for a month and it was very stable and unlike the Teton I can stand and fish. And for under $500 it’s even better. What kind of fishing do you do?
@@greatamericansurvival I like to fish for catfish. Catching them, well, thats a different storey. I usually fish a local resevoir thats about 15 min. from my house. It has good population of bass, bluegill and cats, channel, flathead and blues. I usually catch some bluegill for bait. I'm in Piedmont North Carolina, near Winston-Salem. The resevoir close to me is called Belews Creek. It is a DukeEnergy lake. I am also close to the Yadkin River and its chain of lakes.
Got this one Summer of last year. It was labeled the Teton Pro 116 from Dicks for $650 I think it was. Bang for the buck, I absolutley love it! Ive done so much to it to make it "mine" My only real gripe for it (a kayak at this pricepoint =, and for what you get it awesome!) is that they would do away with all the crazy angles on it and give us more flat surfaces. So much more verstility if every part of the kayak wasnt some weird angle. Neat video. I've got some cool in depth stuff on my channel if you want to see what I've done.
Wow, gr8 review on this kayak. Large space @ front 4 batteries & other stuff, large standing room to bring dogs, huge live well for 2x fishing crate, flate facing rear to mount external motors, foot rest to mount rudder control. @ $500 makes it very economical compare to Hobie Pro Angler 12/14. Gr8 basic kayak w/ lotsa room 4 personal touches. Thx 4 sharing on Utube.
What ever happened to the Sun Dolphin Boss 12 and the Ozark 12 Pro Angler Kayaks? I want one of them but I can’t seem to find them anywhere, did they stop selling those models?
Good question I’m not really sure though. Mine had some issues but was still a very stable Kayak. Like the Perception Outlaw it’s a crazy stable kayak but very heavy.
@@greatamericansurvival it is indeed my first kayak that I ever owned but I did get a canoe this spring and was fishing out of it but it’s just not the best. But I’m taking it out on the 4th so we shall see what a improvement it is over the canoe
I also have a Lifetime kayak but, it's 10 foot and no internal storage. The Yukon you have looks good. And it's that perfect length for me, less than 12 foot, more than 10 foot. Nice... I am hoping to upgrade to a Crescent Shoalie at some point. But, I'll wait and hope the price will drop.
The lightning fusion color option is $498 vs $699 for the python fusion in my area. Seems fairly odd a massive price difference for just a cosmetic color option.
You say how great ever thing is about the kayak, but you haven't even used it. Did you get it as some type of promotion, where you feel like you have to give it a great review?
No. I’ve never used this particular kayak. My buddy has the Teton Pro Angler which is the same kayak just sold at Dicks for $200 more is used it several times last summer. That’s why I looked around to finally find this one. I really like the Teton it’s just to small for me to fish from. Great as a throw and go kayak. Unfortunately I have to pay for all my kayaks. Hope this helps and thanks for taking time to comment, we love the feedback.
Agreed. But honestly if your looking for kayak they tend to have kayaks when no one else’s does. I bought a new vibe from the last year for $500 less then anywhere else. Heck just last week I was looking at a Vibe Seaghost 110 for $750 at my local Dicks.

@6:45 those straps are rod tie downs. The grooves they cover fit rod handles for horizontal rod storage. Take a look at my video
Just had mine delivered this past weekend. Love it. I got the blue version. What is the medal eyelet under the seat for??
There’s one for the seat to tie to down in the event of a turnover.
Just got one (gray) from Sam's at 345 on clearance. Very excited! Came with fishing rod holder for the track system and a fishing paddle too.

Exactly. We have a couple as loaners for family and friends that wanna try it out. I added a Seadek kit to my Jackson Coosa, so great.
I have the same I pay $500 on special on march and I love it I can stand on it and I can move side to side and is stable .
That’s about what I paid, I saw one in September for under $300 at my local Wally World.
I bought the same version spring 2021 works great.
Did it still have the wheel on the keel?
I found one on fb brand new with the tags on it for $300! I jumped on it asap!
That’s a great deal on a great kayak.

Think this will be my first kayak can't wait
I took it out last weekend and just like how easy it is to paddle. Especially if you can find it at Sams club or Walmart it’s a great kayak

The wheel doesn't hold up well. I have already replaced mine and need to find a better wheel other then that I like it
where do you get a replacement?

That’s crazy, used mine last weekend and it got all gummed up with grass after like 20-30 feet.

I just bought one from Walmart that was sun faded from sitting outside and I got the manager and she sold it to me for 300

Crescent makes some great kayaks. We have a couple. The Shoalie is amazing, saw one at ICast last month just and amazing kayak.
Dang, they're charging $699 for them in my area.
I know they are that expensive if you go with the Teton from like Dicks or Academy. What state are you in? I’m in Georgia
