@@barshaa3727 Prelims exam ot MCQ type hobo aru MAINS ot gutei paper Likhobo lagibo jenekua school ot likhisila......Descriptive type.if u understand english atleast 30%, you should write the exam in english rather than assamese ... just u need to do a little effort in ur language apart from preparation thats it.... APSC does not demand HIGH-FIE ENGLISH if u can text in english that much is required. At the other hand, if u write the exam in assamese, ultimately u have to study english news paper and translate into assamese thats a really daunting task itself.
You have to translate from english to assamese then Hindi to assamese that would more difficult than doing a little work on your english and improving it. If u do so that would be so much easy for u.... apsc does not check your grammar and all . right ? so, u need know a basic english. bass thats it. Being a Assamese medium student, I can answer your question properly because I already have overcome this same obstacle. Believe me u definately can do and thats also in 1 year only if u have the strongest desire in u to do this. Nobody can stop u to achieve this...... if i can do, u can also do...... Following are few tips for you
1. Be consistent
2. Believe in yourself
3. Be punctual
4. Be curious
5 . Make a strategy and stick to it untill and unless u achieve it.
Last but not the least
I am also a assamese medium student and I have been preparing for UPSC. SO just believe me you can do it and not only u anybody can do it ....
6. Repeat what u do......& dont waste your time using social media ....for 1 year just forget everything and focus on you goal only. See the eye of the bird not branches and anything else ...if u do all these mentioned above. 1000% u will do this

Sis can you let me know one thing that.. All our Assam Economics background students don't take Economics in Apsc optional paper.. i have done pg in Economics so I am much interested in taking Economics as optional.. will it be hard in scoring marks as I find Economics practical and interesting subject..???
The success rate is very low those who take economics optional.
