@@cruzaider5339 Yea but the Battanians are based on more cultures than just medieval Celts. I don't think Celts had Scale armour. That was a Thracian one that they had.
celts didnt use falx. weren't renowned archers for that matter either, but were famous for their cavalry. battania doesn't really resemble antique celts at all besides their aesthetics and naming schemes.
The Vet Falxman shines when paired with Fian Champs at a 1:5 ratio with the Falxman in a loose formation. The Fians keep the infantry at bay, and the Falxman buffer calvary charges. Keeping calvary off the Fians keeps their arrows flying, the loose formation makes the Rhomphaia’s length useful and allows a smaller contingent of Falxman to cover a larger area. This combo can easily handle 2:1 odds against most compositions in the field with almost no casualties, and 5:1 odds isn’t impossible with good terrain. They suck in sieges though.
Hey Lyon, this might be a bit late but do you think the Rhomphia would be better on cavalry units rather than infantry units, base on my experience using the Rhomphia on horseback makes the weapon pretty good
i think something shorter will work better, like a glaive with 145. the Rompahia is a bit too long. but hey, one of my future projects is find the best gear for companions so there might be surprises. Anyway, any swingable weapon is gonna work better than a spear.
@@LyonExodus In Bannerlord online we use falxmans all the time we mount them on aserai horses and kill enemy horse archers with ease they are very good against fians when mounted too. And when dismounted they counter elite cataphracts its basicly only infantry used in meta gameplay. And yes we tested all shock troops falxmans are the best at least in online
During early acces I never upgraded my Falxman into veteran falxman because they became objectively worse. The longer weapon just dident work in the hands of the AI. The gear would be an improvement in the hands of a player, but the AI just cant use it effectively. Seems like this hasent changed in the meantime....
it has changed. There was an AI bug in the patch i made the video on. One of the latest videos i have made shows the change after the patch. Altough you can still argue there isn't as big of a difference as you would like going from a T4 unit to a T5. And that's fair.
have you played the game in the last 3 months? Because since 1.8. the throwing AI is quite good. and you seem to be forgetting that you can tell them to throw only when the enemy is being defensive while holding during charges. If the enemy doesn't move how does a falxman get killed? boredom?
ehm... do you realize the video part is not the test? it's there for well... not having a blank screen? also during my testings they were allowed to throw, all units were. the difference in performance among units that can throw is not the same. See Heroic Linebreaker video or Palace Guard. So it's not the axes that made the unit perform poorly. it was their AI. An AI that has been fixed in the latest version, which the update video i am working on. Then let alone the fact that they actually ended up increasing their scores as well, at least against the lower tiers. All the tested units were tested in the exact same way, and the data matched my personal experience of way too many hours for that patch (1.8.). Would i let them throw if i were in a campaign? likely not. but that's the methodology i used for that test and once you start you have to finish. Telling them to hold fire doesn't change much. Then. in the update i am currently working on shock troops standing in loose formation that are allowed to throw end up killing more Cavalry than not. so even there. i have no idea why you keep claiming things that you haven't tested and happen to work. Maybe, just maybe. you should stop assuming the person you are speaking to is ignorant about the game. Just a maybe.
From being unstoppable killing machines in the earlier versions of the game to this disgrace of a troop! RIP falxmen.
What a shame the 'celtic' faction doesn't have top tier falx men
The Falx aren't Celtic in origin...

wrong fire
First of all always hold fire on falxes ai i just shit in using throwables and if they have 2 stacks you basicly are suciding your falxes
