- In this video, we are showing you our new catio made by ottenpetcages. It's the ultimate safe outdoor space for your cat!
Whether you live in a busy city or the quiet countryside, a catio provides your furry friend with a secure and stimulating environment to play, relax, and explore the great outdoors.
Not only does it keep your cat safe from potential dangers like traffic and predators, but it also helps prevent the spread of diseases and parasites. Plus, it keeps the local wildlife safe.
At our previous house we also had a smaller catio and Mella & Maia loved that one aswell, so we knew we had to make something similar next to our new home.
Finally, we can all hang out together again outside. The many birds have been warned...Mella & Maia will be watching them!
In the coming months we will be decorating the catios a bit to make them a cozy space for our feline friends. Some plants, a few wall shelves and more.

these catios are amazing!! Maia as spider cat was so cool! Mella sniffing the air was adorable. they were having such a nice time and can't seem to get enough of the wonderful fresh air! 💕💕💕💕

That is a beautiful and spacious catio. They can sunbath all day. 👍
Thanks! When it's not raining and the temperature is ok, our catio is open 😻 otherwise it's too cold inside, because our kitchen door gives access to it.

Thank Margaret! No, the tiles were put there a couple of months ago. We also have a small patch for catnip, which now is only dirt...and they love to walk around and play in there 🙈

My parents cats would adore this, Belle Gucci, and Rosa just over two years old, they are sisters
It was out best decision ever to get a catio and truly money well spent. Our girls love it and we know they're safe. Safe from cars, neighborhood cats and cat haters. The birds around our home are also thankful 😸 Hugs to Belle Gucci and Rosa!
Check your local housing ordinances before installing anything that is physically attached to your structure. Some jurisdictions may consider it an additional that has to meet code. And if you have a HOA you're probably already screwed.
We've checked with our local municipality here in The Netherlands ;-) 👍

give them a big territory, hide the fencing directly infront of that hedge wall, or even close enough to let it grow into.
it would also stop forgen cats from exploring ANYWHERE NEAR your cat's territory which usualy fucks with cats
We will probably expand it, once we have planted (and planned) our little food forest. After the installation of the cat tunnel, connecting the 2 catios, we have to start saving money first again ;-) Thanks for your comment though!
