im expert in laser welders. whole settings should be ruled with profile ( like adjusting gas pressure, power ,frequency, wobble width wobble speed, wirespeed) all from saved profiles. using many different setting to adjust is stupid idea, ipg don't even try to solve this issue,
The LightWELD system itself is rated at 100% duty cycle for conditions under 90% humidity and 90 degrees temperature. The Fanuc CRX co robots are designed for 8 years maintenance free operation. So within this aspect yes, if it works in regards to production rate and part complexity vs. cost of the system. Single plane parts are easiest to automate. Fanuc has virtual world Weld Pro SW available to allow off line programming.

Can you do a .060 stainless steel butt weld. Also we are using 100% argon with ours is nitrogen totally different as far as porosity.
