Leslie you graciously asked me to join one of the rides around Monticello some years ago. One of the interesting facts shared with the riders was that it took 4 days to ride to Washington DC. That gave political figures lots of time to contemplate.

Good video, but the title "daily ride" suggest it will focus on no more than of course his daily ride, but it seem to focus more on the slaves on at Monticello.

he lived a pretty lavish lifestyle, bought a huge library, donated to the University of Virginia, spent money on fine things and scientific/agricultural experiments, made investments that return much
he wasn't a great businessman

instead of building wealth he chose to spend it, donate it, or make what turned out to be bad investments
