Music videos are back! I've been meaning to do this video for over a year now and I thought it would be the perfect video to bring back the old music videos. Also sorry that TH-cam has absolutely destroyed the quality of the screen recording for this video (even though no-one will probably care.) I've re-rendered and uploaded it at least 5 times now but nothing seems to fix it. Hopefully I can find the problem before the next video comes out in a couple of days!

Ponder this: In his later years Beethoven had become deaf as a post, yet he continued to compose flawless, several dozen instrument, symphony music. What you just did in this video, composing by ear, as you hear the sounds and how they combine with each other, Beethoven did the same thing, but completely in his head, in his mind's ear (so-to-speak) and then scribbling it down with paper and quill. This isn't a criticism at all, just a realization of how lucky we are to live in an age where we have the technology to not only compose "on the fly" but also to allow others (over 100 thousand at this time) to watch the creative process in action. I really like this piece. Being a bit old school in my tastes for music I like a melodic piece over the looped rhythms created on so many other channels.

I'm pretty sure if you use a program called Skript (a Minecraft Spigot plugin), or just a vanilla scoreboard, a datapack, and resource pack, your idea could be accomplished fairly easily, in theory. I'm sure there is a way to detect if a Jukebox has a record in it with a certain NBT data or custom name, so using Skript you'd just cancel the event and start playing a new song (with volume of 65, as apparently that's how many blocks away you can hear a Jukebox song).
