I’m in Central Texas, Hill Country area. I didn’t realize strawberries could be a perennial. Do you do anything special to keep them happy through freezes?
I’m out east of Temple, Texas and my asparagus is starting to come up. This crazy warm weather is confusing them. Curious, what kind of strawberry plants do you have? I haven’t had much luck so far with them so maybe a different variety might be the answer. Thanks in advance
For both my strawberries and asparagus, I planted a bunch of different varieties. I bought both from Home Depot. I’m not sure which varieties are left standing. I know I bought a least 4 different strawberries and probably the same number for the asparagus. I wish I could tell you what I have but I have no idea lol.

Did you plant from seed? I got mine from the nursery. I’m sure they don’t have female plants in the nursery stock.
I started with a few packs of crowns from Home Depot. So I have a mixture of male and female plants.

Nothing special. I just keep them watered when they need it.
