Hi Jenny! Thanks for letting me check out this cool little piece at the counter while I was waiting on my FFL transfer over at Gateway (I'm the guy that Les called over to meet you when I got those twin Ruger 1911s a couple weeks ago). Love the rose gold accents, and thinking about getting one for my mom, who is nearing 75 and says her 9mm sub compact is starting to hurt her wrists. I'm more interested in the NovX rounds. I can't find as much info on them as I'd like, and the website says "Ballistic testing coming soon". Have you thought about doing any gel test videos? Would love to see this in super slow-mo! Love your content! Keep it up! Keith
I loved your video. I used to have an Sig P238 but ended up selling it. Wished I hadn’t but I’ve been looking into getting another Sig. I’m really impressed with all the videos I’ve watched about this package with the training videos, lockable case etc. thanks so much for your great review. I’m 66 and plan on traveling the US Parks in my minivan and need the protection. 😊
Thanks for the review. At 71 with nerve damage in both hands, I find the P365-380 just right for my primary CCW. I do have a S&W Equaliser for home use and sometimes carry it as well. I had the 9mm P365 but traded for the 380 version when it came out. Just the right size for my CCW with a round my hands can tolerate for a real range session. I carry Underwood Extreme Defenders but would also feel safe carrying the NovX as I have tried the ARX Inceptors which are a similar round. I plan to try the NovX since I carry the ARX in my LCP Max. Your gun is prettier than mine for sure and yes I would carry one like it with Rose highlights.
Awesome review and video, bought the .380 Rose for my daughter who works at a major hospital in our metro area that’s in a bad area of the city. She’s interested in gaining her CHL and learning how to defend herself . I carry the P365 9mm as my summer carry. Thanks again
I have the p365x and it’s been my favorite edc pistol for a few years now. I’ve attempted to replace it as my edc with a different pistols and always end up going back to it.
How does the gun compare to the Ruger Security 380? That’s my carry gun now but I’m loving the Rose package. New gun owner and conceal carrier this year.
The Ruger Security .380 fits in the hand like a Glock. Or should I say a block. The grip is thick and inelegant and awful. By comparison the SIG P365 in .380 feels slender and fits in your hand like it was custom-made to do so. The SIG grip is near perfection.
I know I'm late to the dance per say video released 3 weeks ago... but I do own one of those beasts and I'm very grateful for SIG coming out with it. Seems it a perfect caliber for this size pistol. Yes, 380acp ammo is pricey, just need to shop around.
All depends on your purposes and where you honestly feel you would at a max engage a target. Vast majority of self defense situations occur 7 yards and in, tho there are those that happen further out. In Texas, to get my LTC, the test is at 3 yards -10 yards-15 yards. I tend to practice at all 3 of those but I don’t go past 15 often. People have different opinions on the matter, some say as far as you can be proficient with and some have particular reasons for practicing further out like someone on a security team with a church or something where they can be accurate across a foyer/assembly hall etc. So there’s no super simple answer to that, but I hope that gives some insight
Did you buy that rose shirt just for the video? Your reaction to killing the Go Pro was priceless. I need to start holding a camera on Jim to get his reaction to you shooting his equipment!
Nope, all my clothes were my own. BUT if any clothing lines would like to start sending me some to wear in my videos, I would be more than happy to do so. And yeah, his reaction would be... um... well, maybe we shouldn't show that... :-D
Missed opportunity to thank Lena give her a shout-out as rose is her middle name. it's a collaborative she's doing with SIG. Thanks for the review, first time visitor, great insights! I too believe the monolithic type rounds/fluted solid bullets that don't rely on expansion are the way to go for defensive rounds in .380 ACP. they give you the penetration you want from .380 and the flutes create fluid displacement giving you large wound channel needed in a defensive round. At first i thought it a bunch of marketing bs, but after further research it looks like at least two of the brands have backed up results, couldn't feel confident in the others yet without at least seeing what they would do in 10% test gel . And spending the $ to make sure they run in the gun.
@@erictrippe2778 Sure, why not? I saw it as a modern take on color case hardening. Besides, the rainbow symbol was appropriated by the perverts, just like the word "gay" which used to mean (in the 1890s) happy and carefree. @@erictrippe2778 Yup, I have one as well and I get a LOT of compliments, especially from a retired Army Sniper, (one of the best in the world too… ) and he wanted to trade straight up for it too. ^^
I was just thinking , wow all those are so close the the x-ring but then technical difficulties interrupted ending. the NovX? sure have some muzzle blast, was that distracting? is that the ammo that has stainless steel base to last forever reloading?
Yep, there was supposed to be more shooting but the Go Pro fatality put a real damper on things, John H!! Not sure about the stainless base but it sure looks like. I'll have to check on that. The muzzle blast wasn't at all distracting. I didn't even notice it!
Jenny - you are great; love your videos and only watched two so far. I have the P365 - 380 in the "rainbow" configuration. It is my daily carry. Hope someday to get the "Rose" for my wife. Carry it in my front left pocket, as I am a lefty! Shoots great for these seventy year old bones. My other gun is a Remington R1 in .45 ACP. Thanks again and I will introduce you to my wife.
interested in your thoughts on how easy the manual safety was to manipulate. the tactile safety appears to be well positioned and sized right. But, how well does it function?
For me, the manual safety isn't an issue but that may be because I have girly hands. Someone with larger hands may find that it disappears under their thumb.
I love SIG and I carry the P320 X Compact, but the reason I haven't gone to the smaller P365 is your grouping it will only get wider in a stressful situation. 🤷🏽♂️ 😁
OK, first, i gotta say, you are just as cute as a button!!! You shot your camera, and spilled your ammo (that's totally my vibe... we should hang out, haha). I've got 2 of these shooters, one in black and one in rainbow ( for the future Mrs.). I LOVE these guns. Best CC on the market!!! The one thing i will say that gets to me, is the stigma of the calibrats against 380. The round in every test shows it to be a very capable in lethally defending your life. It also is much more controllable which means you will be more accurate defensively, with rapid fire follow up shots.
Yes I would carry a gun with "rose gold" accents, the colors are tastefully done! But I'd prefer 9mm and if they made it in a Macro version would be even cooler! JS ❤️

Don't buy the 380. Under 150 rounds in a P365-380 Rose Edition, the large recoil spring jumped over the rear retainer and catastrophically failed. Pistol will not go into battery and cannot cycle. If Sig ever sends a replacement spring, my wife's CCW/Defense pistol is now a range queen.

I use Underwood Extreme Defenders in my P365 380. It's also fluted. It does create a substantial wound channel.
Scott Winand, that's cool! How are they price-wise?
