Thanks to your tyranid videos I finally achieved organic looking flesh for my tyranid army. Always thought it's too hard to do without an airbrush but that feathering and covering it with streaking grime really worked for me
I'm a fan of the 24 paint challenge videos as well, but as a father of 3, a husband, with a full time job, etc. etc. etc., it's nice to see someone out there who hobbies like I try to hobby: around family commitments, whenever possible, and through exhaustion. Truly inspiring.
Glad you enjoyed it and that it was helpful. You always should try to make some time for yourself, family, kids and work are important but if you don’t put a little time aside for yourself you’ll go crazy. Thanks for watching, it’s really appreciated
I like the realistic painting challenges. The professional TH-camrs challenges are fun to watch, but I don't ever want Warhammer to feel like a job. Thank you for making this video and sharing your hobby experience with us!
Thanks for sharing and also showing that real life comes first. Important thing to remember as many cannot do the marathon sessions that some professional painters can do
You’re welcome. There’s more important things than painting toy soldiers, family comes first. A hobby should be something you find time to do when all the important things are done. But it is good to find time just for yourself too. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, really appreciated.
Very cool to see the whole army. I really fancied the first videos you did of this colorscheme and decided to copy it. I bought the tyranid combat patrol as my first warhammer army and have been following your brush tutorial. The models have come out absolutely awesome, cheers!
@@rgbminiaturesonly have a few thermagaunts completely ready. I'll make sure to show you the result when I finnish a few of the larger models as well!
Firstly great vid and like the scheme, I've started a Tyranid army that's based off the Leviathan scheme but changed some colours. It funny as you got a similar situation to me I've got two young girls and a heavily pregnant wife while I'm trying to find time to paint between FT work and family life lol
I really liked how these turned out, great job. My only critique is the bases read as the same colour as the models, which makes sense for tyranids adapting to the environment, but washes the models out a bit. A bit of warm-tone pigment powders would be a quick and easy way to seperate them.
It was really just for simplicity and to keep it quick, I like how they look but I can always go back and add more to the bases at some point. Thanks for watching!
Yes, especially when using contrast paints. I also wanted to have a shiny look to them at the end to make them look more natural. Thanks very much for watching!
Very nice work, really coherant! Despite being different types of Tyranid the way you've painted them in the same way brings it all together. Keep it up!
Well done sir, I think you've done a fantastic job. Your color scheme is great and makes me wish I had waited on my color scheme for my fleet cause damn that looks so good.
I just spent 4 weeks putting 45 hours or so into my Neurotyrant 😂😂 it looks great, but there's is something special about you guys who can get a whole army done in such a short amount of time!
I have a marine army that takes me about a week per mini! It’ll never be finished at this rate, I’ve been working on it for years. I wanted this project to be quick and easy!
Well done with that limited time! I spend so much time being neat, but I have a lot more free hobby time, so it works well for me. Still, there is no way I would paint even half of this in a week haha!
Love this scheme, mate. I've been looking for ages to find a scheme I loved for my Nids and I've decided this will be it. Looks so good. Loved this video and how real it was. Also could you post a list of the citadel colours you've used? I checked your other videos and you mention them, but if it was in the comments it'd be much appreciated. Good job!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch it! I’m really glad you like the scheme and will give it a go! I’ll look at adding the list of colours in the description too
I wanted the bases be dark and keeping with the grim dark theme. A lighter base would probably work too. Also these bases are super quicker and need no effort! Thanks very much for the sub, it’s really appreciated
It’s a great tool but does become a hobby all of its own. It can take a while to get used to how it works, how to thin paints and the constant cleaning but once you get the hang of it it’s an amazing tool to have. Thanks very much for watching

As a new father this is not only inspiring but also very helpful with the little things such as how you work your hobbying around family time!

Clearly now he's painted all the tyranids he owns, there's only one more step to take? BUY MORE MODELS! 😂
Don’t worry I’ve still got loads more unpainted minis at home! Thanks for watching

Beautiful. In many ways these look more ‘Tyranidy ’ than the ones that have been painted to death.
Sometimes less is more! Thanks for watching

I'm also doing basically this scheme for my Nids, black carapace with off-white flesh, glad to see if looks really striking and effective.
It was really just for simplicity and to keep it quick, I like how they look but I can always go back and add more to the bases at some point. Thanks for watching!
Man that's one sharp l9oking army of nids. I am just amazed at how easy you make it look.
Thank you!
9:48 protect the acrylic paint against abrasion (from rubbing the excess streaking grime off)?
Yes, especially when using contrast paints. I also wanted to have a shiny look to them at the end to make them look more natural. Thanks very much for watching!
Tyranids looking great. You have truely inspired me to pretend i have a youtube channel so my wife and kids let me paint minis on a sunday 😂
Thank you! Go for it, it’s a good excuse 😂
Love your scheme. It's not dissimilar to what I want to achieve. Very clever use of the orange and the blue.
Thanks!

Love the real life perspective of this.
Thanks, I thought I’d try and make it a little more realistic. Hobby has to fit around real life. Thanks for watching, it’s really appreciated
Love the scheme, have started using it on my Leviathen box set Nids, have not had the nerve to do the streaking grim though.
That’s great to hear! It’s not difficult to use but if you want an alternative I have a video up showing how to do it without streaking grime

Absolutely love how they turned out. Nice work
Thank you!
Nice work! Wish I could speed paint my eldar like this but apparently I also hate myself so...
Thanks! I could only do this as the scheme is so simple and quick, I wish my marines were the same!
Great video, and "rite of passage" successfully completed I'd say....
Thank you! It was fun and really nice to see the results at the end and have them ticked off my list. Thanks for watching
I like your no nonsense approach to videos.
None of this influencer BS. got a sub from me! I look forward to more
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks very much for the sub. I’ll hopefully have some more up soon
Great work mate!! Keep the content coming ❤
Cheers mate! Thanks for watching! Really appreciated

Thanks very much!
Very inspiring indeed!

Great vid as always.
Thank you! Thanks for taking the time to give it a watch
Well done mate
Thank you!
Is that a bartending jig you're using for enamels? or just a really cool mini chalice ?
It’s actually an egg cup! 😂 it was the only thing I could find at the time, it did the job though so I think it’ll get used again. Thanks for watching
What airbrush do you use?
It’s a Sparmax Max-4. It’s a good mid range airbrush, good for most jobs. Thanks for watching
Interesting scheme
Thanks!
It's taken me 2 months and I've just got the 20 termagants done 😅
I only managed this because the scheme is so quick, it takes me a week to paint one of my marines! Thanks for watching
@@rgbminiatures good to know. Thank you.
Im not keen on the black base and dark grey ground cover....too dark for a dark models....just a preference..not a criticism. Subbed.

I so need an airbrush.
