Hmm, I’m a SiteGround user as well, but my account layout is different from yours and I don’t see the feature for automatic backup of plug-ins. Adam, you might want to point out that the plug-in developers of MainWP highly recommend that a special domain be created for installing the plug-in. You don’t seem to make that clear in your video. I got the impression that you suggesting that for users who don’t have a WordPress set up. But the developers are highly recommending that a sub-domain be set up to run MainWP. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial. Appreciate it.
Hi Adam.. good to see this video on MainWp. I bought the agency a long time ago on the back of one of your older videos on it. It's been ok but rarely use it because of how slow/sluggish the updates took and often needed multiple attempts to update even just 5 sites. From your new video, it looks like the speed of updating the child sites has improved to be almost instant which is exciting to see. I'm not sure if this is because your install is local or if MainWp have addressed this in their latest version. I will update my MainWp and/or try it locally and see if it makes any difference to the speed of updating. If so, it will be back in my toolbox. Let me know if you have experienced the same? Cheers!

A nice feature, would be to be able to upload plugins and themes, as there are some plugins/ themes that need to be updated manualy with "Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades' plugin.
One question - what local machine are you using? Which one do you recommend for Mac OS? I currently use Local by Flywheel but I already lost some sites data from it and was not able to fully recover them (happened once in the past). I'm still using it but would love some feedback from you Adam and the Community! Thank you for showing me this tool - I was not aware of it at all! Now I'm sure I will give it a try!
What happens if you update and something breaks in one of the 30 sites? is there a way to detect a broken site caused by an update within MainWP? and does a backup automatically take place before the update just in case something does break so that you can revert the changes?
If the site crashes, then MainWP will let you know it can't connect to that site. But WordPress crashing on updates may be a thing of the past after WP v5.2. Also if you are using uptimerobot.com which is free you will get a notice from them.

To be honest, I would be just as concerned about updating the sites in unison like that not just in case of crashes, as these are quickly picked up, as you suggest, but when updating themes for example, they can change the look of your site, sometimes subtly but other times significantly without the site actually becoming unresponsive...

Love MainWP, never had an issue. With new version have they or will they introduce option to send reports as a PDF? Be great if it could push a PDF direct to a Dropbox folder for each client. I’ve set this up but it’s a massive hack between a email to PDF service to Gmail to MS Flow to Dropbox. Clients love that they can go to one place to get all their reports. Preferred to push directly vs the crazy automation I have now.

I did take a look, been testing it for 2 months. It's gonna be a pass from me for 2 reasons. First, it's barely a management control panel. It's almost like it was an afterthought. The features are just not there and everything is powered by a bunch of plugins that I wouldn't even consider using on my sites. We are talking like 5 - 6 plugins it installs, and none of them are market leaders. Second, I did some load testing on the hosting and it didn't fair well. I guess I was just expecting much more from it. So I think using Cloudways $10 per months server for 15 - 20 websites, and adding the free MainWP, it's just a better route and with no traffic limitations. Hosting is a tough market to enter and you don't want to beta test hosting.

Very helpful, thank you for the tutorial. So I have a hosting account and control five websites-only one with WP but planning on redesign the other four with WP. So Mainwp is great when it comes to have them organized and keep a tab in all of them at same time, Would I be able to to work in each one of them using Elementor or any other plugins?
The only problem with this plugin is you need a domain or local server to set it up. It may have more features than managewp but setting it up is a pain in the azz. At least with managewp everything is accessible online. They actually have a portal. Setting up locally returns SSL errors.
Hi Adam, thank you for the video. I followed your instructions and I am using local lightning too. When I want to add a new site, I tested the connection and it passed. But when I connect, I get this error "Invalid request%21". Did you encounter this same problem before? If yes, how did you solve it. I am also with Siteground.

I have decided to install MAINWP in a subdomain following the steps you mentioned in a previous video and I can notice that the interface of MAINWP has a different look than the one installed in your LOCAL computer... besides that I would like to ask you if there is a way I can avoid the main home page of wordpress in the subdomain where I have MAINWP so that when I type the subdomain it will jump straight to the WP login instead of a wordpress empty page... any thoughts?

Maybe it was coincidence but I tried ManageWP a few months ago and when I updated a plugin as requested, the specific site crashed and gave me an error "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home/content/89/8988789/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-edit/includes/functions.php on line 767" ...Now I have to call the company that hosts my site and figure out how to fix...hopefully MAINWP works better.

Hi Adam, I have tried this multiple times and it crashes my Wordpress. I get the critical error message and learn about debugging. Anything else I can try? I had to rename my pugin folder in CPanel, then rename it back to what it was to go back to Worpress and reload my previous plugin to get my site to work again.

I record on a PC, so that is what it was on for this video. But I also use it on a Mac. I only had issues when they went' from v1 to v2 of local.

It's a good idea to allow it to make those changes. It's pretty much best practices.
