No skater ever needs tight tucks. The only reason you want them right is to learn to balance. But any really skater will tell you to imitate the waves you need loose trucks. And to avoid danger and to carve out of ramp tricks when it's needed. Tight trucks are a death sentence. You can't turn you can't avoid you can't carve. Literally no reason to listen to this video and think you need tight trucks. Loose all the way
I like my trucks super tight. Like the stability it holds. But I was a bigger guy when I skated. I am now 39 and just order a brophy hero pop secret twin with Indy red hollows and reds bones with 54mm girl wheels. Gonna try to get back into it. Ordering on Friday gonna teach my son to skate who is now 19. We live near Philadelphia so a lot of places to go shred. Hope this neck strain will go away before my board arives

Find the happy medium not to tight not too loose...I couldn't stand jumping on someone else's skate back in the day... because like he said everyone skates differently
I like my trucks the perfect medium. Too tight and you got no wiggle room when you land and the board pops. You gotta be perfect and it can be hard getting around corners without hittin’ the tail. Too loose it depends on your balance. If your balance is crazy good then too loose is probably great. BUT settin’ up for a flip trick on an extra loose board ain’t fun at all. Everyone skates different. Each and its own. I like my trucks like I like these hoes, medium tight. Run that…

Soft bushings or hard bushings, shouldn’t be to tight or loose just get right bushings and fine tune
