As much as I like the tech, excluding US users from their Airdrop just shows what this space is devolving to. Air drops in general are pretty bad because they encourage fake activity but, also it is a cheap way of introducing a token. Why not give it to people that run the nodes? At least you had to do something in exchange??

these DA layers work because they are very simple. They just take Data, any data in binary form, zeroes and ones........ this is simple but KEY. all the data could be meaningless, celestia does not know or care....... data could be random completely meaningless gibberish. for fun and just illustrate this point let's just say that it is completely random gibberish just meaningless data. Celestia will take these blobs of meaningless data and it will organize them into blocks and then the nodes of celestial which are just individual computers will come to "consensus" that they all have the same order of this gibberish data. That is it that is all celestial does.... so it is very quick. then they do take some mathematical manipulation of the data which could be entirely meaningless, and they mathematically extend it and add a little bit to it. Erasure Sampling... this part it's hard for me to simplify. But if you were of the age where you can remember a compact disk, and remember that one could put a scratch across the compact disk, and it would still work. That is what they are doing with the same thing they did with compact disk. And the key by doing this is, you can destroy some of the data, but still recover all the data., another byproduct of the extension mathematically of the original data set is that you can sample randomly now extended data and if you sample just one percent of it, you can be pretty much 100% sure that it is all there and it is all intact and that you can construct it all.
Ppl need to know the whole lifecycle of a Transaction with rollup + DA layer with concrete examples. That's missing in every video, podcast and online material.

Because it was the laughing stock of the previous cycle when all we heard was hubris from ada holders...and also that it doesn't have demand for it's block space so why would it need to expand to L2 architecture. So David naturally compulsively laughs

But what I understand is that Cardano's approach to set up a blockchain for mainstream adoption is fundamentally different from Ethereum. And you can only call it a "laughing stock", if you ignore this and focus on short-term development. Me personally, I find it very interesting to watch how these different approaches evolve in the mid-term. And I wish Bankless would show a bit more curiosity in this regard and would critize Cardano through a proper discussion which I couldn't find anywhere. But then, what do I know...
New coin, new chart, new hope, no bagholders, good backers. It will be much higher in a full blown bull. If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
