*Works so well **Fastly.Cool** that it only requires daytime operation until high temp and humidity are overnight. It is difficult to get to side filters, but back is easily accessible.*

I've had this model for a couple of years. Here's my thoughts:
Far from "quiet". It's nowhere near as loud as some others, but if you're a light sleeper, it'll be a struggle with this on. My recommendation is to put it in the real feel mode as it switches off when it hits optimal conditions.
The blower being on top is OK, but I'd prefer it on the front so I could direct it. The duct that moves up and down can be held in place but it's not really all that effective. The duct itself causes a lot of turbulence noise when at a tighter angle. So I just leave it wide open.
Like all portable units. If you don't have a hole in the wall for the ducting, it's essentially permanently battling incoming warm air AND heat eminating from the ducting tube itself. So consider this before you buy any portable unit.
All in all, if you're in Europe (I'm in London UK) then I'd recommend this as its good for the one to two weeks we get of unbearable heat. It doesn't make a 3x4 meter room super cold, but it definitely takes the edge off. I use it at one end of the room with an oscillating fan at the other. I've found this combo to work a treat in keeping the air moving while cooling it.
Expensive, but nowhere near as expensive as the £2k+ a room that wall mounted AC will cost.

@VDS Systems That house-symbol is the Real Feel function, which automatically controls temperature and humidity for ”the optimal conditions”.

Could you please measure the DB? In all modes (high, medium, low, silent). 1 meter away from the machine.
It will be in a room where I will be allmost all day so I am looking for a quit one ;)

You should try to set the vent tube with the least curve possible to make the ac more efficient.

how often do you need to drain condensate?

  • @Shaera574

The home button is the most important thing : once you press the button it will check the temperature in the room and after a moment it will become green If it’s need to be cooler or blue if not. Only when it’s necessary it will start

I have the same type of window as yours. I am thinking about making a hole on the window for the exhale tube.

A++ rating: This is the ONLY portable aircon to achieve this rating. Over the 2 years of owning our PAC EX100, we've saved hundreds in electricity costs. It consumes only 630W of power even on it's maximum setting and still cools a 500 sq. foot room without any issues.
Quality: Unlike the Chinese brands that litter Amazon, this Delonghi comes with a 2 year warranty and is built to last.
Sound: The name is misleading. It is not silent BUT it is quieter than any other air conditioner on the market.
Don't be put off by the high purchase price. If you must have a portable aircon, this is the one to get. There is nothing quieter or cheaper to run. If you cannot get it for any reason, I'd invest in a Klarstein air cooler instead.

The silent mode doesn't seem very "silent" :( Any possibility to make it even more silent? Can't you control the fan speed while in silent mode ?

    • @VdssystemsBe

Hello and thank you for watching. no i havent find any way to make it more silent. No you cant control the fan speed in silent mode.

    • @SilvioManfredDante

The silent mode is obviously not completely silent and more of a marketing gimmick, it's next to impossible to achieve that on these portable machines. But comparing this to my old portable AC, it is much quieter.
