- Since I received some positive feedback, I decided to upload the second volume ( pieces 37-66) of Bartok's Mikrokosmos.

Me, I’ve been a student of his music many years since I was a student. Just now once again enthralled by his timeless beauty. Picking up piano again. :)
I've started teaching myself piano with these and am on #17 in volume 1. I can't wait to play more of these. They are really cool.

Hi thankyou so much for this..I'm on piece no. 53 and a little stuck, but after hearing it, it's now much clearer. Also my sheet music is in Hungarian and Russian, neither of which I read, so I was amused to see that piece no. 65 is about a garden rake!!! The translations are very useful too.
I can definitely relate to that, I got a similar shock when I found out what the lyrics in Orff's "Carmina Burana" actually say, haha!
By the by, I do envy you, having a Hungarian-Russian edition of this masterpiece! I only know a few words of Hungarian, but I've always loved it, and I've been studying Russian for some months now.
This is great - keeps me focused and practicing every day !
Also, love Mr. Bartok's pieces, very soulful

I am currently perfecting volume two. I am 64 years old and a graduate of the HS of M&A N.Y.C I dont get it How does someone like ALMA get to perform her schlocky Piano Concerto at Carnegie Hall She can't even write a piece of Music with the profound depth of this Bartok. What a shame on all of us.

If nothing else, you can freely download music videos like this one from TH-cam, Vimeo, and other websites with the appropriate downloader-program. I use ClipGrab quite frequently, and have encountered very few problems with it. It's simple to understand & use. Cheers!

I listened to all of this in twice the speed. I must say it saved me half of the time. It is an interesting work. Just not very demanding.
It's supposed to go up in difficulty from one piece to the next, so you start off knowing no piano with volume 1 and as you get better the pieces get harder. This is still the beginner section.

I feel like it is about trying to solve all (in this case piano techniques) problems in one musical piece. In life it maybe means that we always try to solve problems with the same methods in our own microcosm without looking out of the window. Maybe we will find other solutions if we just could be more open minded
