Thank you buddy!! Excellent video which really helped me ! The heater duct is easy enough to remove but not easy enough to squeeze back in. Worth noting i didn't want tk cut my carpet so thats probably why 😂

Awesome video. Very informative. My battery is 12.5 volts on the multimeter. Is that good or do I need to take it out and fully charge it?
And if I take it out overnight would that cause any further issues with my car’s electronics?

So my jumper tool failed on me in the middle of the battery replacement now my settings are all off. Any tips?

Mercedes told us that the battery was going to need changed. They wanted $700 for parts and labor
It lasted close to a year after their check.
Watched this video and got it done within an hour. The positive terminal needed to be spread apart which was the hardest part for me. Just stick a Flathead screwdriver in it and turned it.
Once we hooked the iphone up with the charging cable, it updated all the settings like time and date.

Important: do not use a regular lead acid battery. Only use an AGM battery. They last a lot longer, are more appropriate for the high electrical loads in these vehicles, and most importantly, they don’t spill when you have a rollover accident. You don’t want battery acid splashing on you or your passengers in the unfortunate event of an accident.
The point is they're sealed
You don’t need to cut the carpet, I changed mine e twice with the original hole. Just force it a little bit, the carpet will stretch

Why not loosen the 4 bolts securing the seat, slide it backwards and have full access, instead of cutting the carpet and messing with a heavy and maybe acid battery i the tight compartment like this?

Refurbished batteries cost less and usually have a warranty too
Does the new battery need to be programmed into the car?
No, not in these vehicles. Some newer models require it but not these.
