The drom is objectively the superior bacta unit when compared to the beetle. It gives you +1/+1 for nothing, while the beetle only gives +1 toughness, and even then, you literally pay 3 gold for that one toughness. The fact that he keeps choosing the beetle over the drom for bacta purposes is a true egg moment.
@@peytonalexander5300 debatable. The beetle plays well with other animal’s food related abilities. You can stack multiple bonuses a turn while with dromedary you’re limited to 1 trigger per turn per dromedary, at which point you’re hardly outscaling other teams.
The sadge at the end frustrates me.
@@estergen I mean at level 1 beetle is only giving a max of 3 hp compared to 1/1 that dromedary gives and you have to use 9 gold and even if you're talking about scaling you need to feed the beetle the food so it wouldn't work with seal or worm only ladybug(maybe smth else I don't use p2w) so personally getting 1/1 free is way better then 0/3 because you can still upgrade team to help with scaling. Idk maybe I'm dumb edit: no tabby I thought tabby was like ladybug

Bee-at-the-back meta has given NL a bad habit of keeping well-statted animals at the back even when they don’t have a bee.
Even when they do have a bee I feel like he does himself a great disservice placing his best unit at the back.
Yeah, he's gotta learn to move the better animal up and give it armor or something else and put another animal in the back with a bee. I will say a bee in the back has become almost standard for me, it saves my ass too many times
@@starsheen1 Why is it preferable to have the best animal at the front? The second you get scorpion opponents (they will mix between having scorpion in front or in second) you're screwed.
@@Colaglass It's generally strongest to have your biggest unit up front until scorpions arrive. Then it becomes a bit of a guessing game.
@@Colaglass keep strongest unit up front before scorpions come along and then hopefully get melon. You want to plow through as many units early-mid game bc most ppl only have one tanked unit and then a few ok or low HP units.

After playing quite a bit of bacta strat myself, I can say that the green bug is a trap.
+1 HP is pretty useless when you could be taking +1/+1 with just an Apple.
The Dromedary on the other hand is pog, I'm getting out some 20/20 tier 2 units on turn 7-8

The feel like the main benefit to the beetle bacta is that your kind of scaling 2 units at once since you feeding the beetle and buffing the shop for the price of one food. The problem though is that as you said the +1 HP isn't that good and a leveled up beetle isn't much better. I think it can get you some wins in the very early game but it falls off hard since it requires basically the same level of investment as a worm with way less pay off. Where as with a dromedary you just buy it and let it do it's thing while you juice the rest of the squad.

Yeah beetle is really only useful for the first 2/3 rounds to get the beetle and another unit to 4hp
@@Senorish 99% of the time you're going to sell that beetle soon anyways, so all the money you spent to buff it (with apples most likely, unless you're waisting bees/meat) gets wasted

I'm 50 seconds into the video and it's already driving me crazy how he'll freeze one animal, feed green ladybug, and immediately reroll so only one animal ever gets a benefit. Don't ever change NL

Bacta works really well with multiple dromedaries. Not so great with green ladybug.
combine them and it works wonders. imagine 3 dromedarys and level 2 green bug early round and you have 10 health, feed the bug 3 apples or w/e and suddenly thats a +6 hp on the entire frozen shop +3 more hp + 3 damage, do that for a few turns then switch in, POG
What does bacta even stand for? He never explained that. Like I understand it's most likely when you feed the green beetle and make the shop poppin but all I can find is "Bacta was a thick, gelatinous substance with seemingly magical healing properties".

I think I have deduced it.
Bacta tank is from Star Wars, it contained Bacta, which allowed the person inside to, I think, heal quickly.
Bacta is blue.
Bacta strat is freezing pets in shop (when you freeze a pet, it is encased in blue ice, which looks like Bacta) and the buffing them, before buying.
Sadly, NL hates cans with passion, so he'll be bacta the main menu real quick.
EDIT: Correction, NL actually bought cans in this video, I am currently in the process of pogging right now.
*I think* Bacta originates from the fact that Dromedary Camel gives +1/+1 and another camel is the Bactrian Camel. Maybe?

Using the green beatle for a bit of extra heal is definitely good early game but you just have to take a step back and realize: when a tier 1 bug is your best unit round 10, you are not going to win the game. Unless it is 50/50 then go off

Late last night decided to boot up the Ole SAP on PC. Started around 11, said just a few runs, maybe a ten win or two. I played until 1 AM. "Just one more" I kept saying. It was never just once more.
NL is singlehandedly changing my sleep schedule. But hey, I’m not complaining when I wake up to SAP
Big scaling units + skunk is kind of a nonbo. Maybe lategame you can kill something through melon armor that you couldn't otherwise, but in the midgame if your animal is bigger it's going to win anyways and if it's smaller then occasionally turning a loss into a trade isn't all that impactful.
Bacta has officially reached scampi/dog a.k.a. buy me, sell me levels of awful to watch. It's like a train wreck you can look away from bad.

Probably late to the punch, but what does bacta mean? Tried to go through NL’s recent videos and can’t seem to find where this story arc began.
Can you just imagine if the devs ever add Bacta to the word pool, then NL will be able to be the Suspicious Bacta, and then he'll win even if he loses
I feel like the only way bacta works is if you don't force it. If you happen to get a lvl 2 green beetle AND a dromedary (or lvl 2 drom and a g. beetle), AND you can freeze at least 2 units in the shop for a couple rounds, I feel like it can catapult your momentum to get 4-5 wins easily while you level up the rest of your units. Forcing it with just one green beetle and 1 frozen unit is just a waste of food/time/lives.

@@sinistergrin It's a reference to star wars, but in SAP it basically means keeping units frozen on your bench while you buff them each round (using things like dromedary, green beetle, and cans)

I think the Bacta Fixation is because we're slowly encroaching the point where NL has sworn off almost every animal in the game for various reasons. Like, Dodo got nerfed into oblivion, but it was good at one point so don't touch it. Rooster, I think he's bought maybe once. Picks up a Fly after it got nerfed beyond recognition, calls himself a scumbag, never does it again. Ox is the new hotness to hate. For some reason he hates Kangaroo in particular. No Bisons because it's too boring. Dog clearly doesn't work anymore because every time he gets it he immediately invests in Worm. Monkey is apparently the most overused animal in the game and worth hating despite taking up one of your only 5 slots for a 1/2. He's even calling out Turtles like they're super OP lately.
I feel like we're not far from a 90 minute video where his team is exclusively Green Beetle/Swan/Tiger/Mosquito/Scorpion in different configurations and I'm looking forward to him talking mad shit about his opponents for using horses like 'everyone else who just logs on and wants 10 wins'. It's getting absurd.
