Pont Naturel Mauritius & One Of Our Worst Experiences Of The Trip!

- Welcome back to the penultimate video in Mauritius. In todays episode we go explore some of the southern coast via bike from the Anantara Iko to Pont Naturel a rough 7/8km bike ride to see the rugged beauty this island has to offer. Later on we end up going to one of the highly recommended top places to visit, Blue Bay marine park where some of the best snorkelling is done whilst you are here in Mauritius!
This point where it went a tad wrong :/ we had one our worst experiences whilst on our trip, You'll have to stick around to find out what happened!

👋🏼 Hello. to you all that have scrolled down this far on our description. We are James and Ellie and we are from the UK. Myself 🙋🏼♂️ and Ellie 🙋🏼♀️ both met each other in college where we both studied travel and tourism 🌍 back in 2009. We got married👰🏼♀️🤵🏼♂️ in Mauritius in 2018 and we have both been inseparable ever since! We are both like a jigsaw and we can quite happily say either of us are not complete without the other!
We decided to start our TH-cam channel just before the pandemic started to bite around the world as we thought wed love to capture our memories as well as make informative honest videos about different resorts and hotels to help other travellers decide what might be right for them when booking their next trip abroad. We haven't looked back since and we have so much fun bringing our videos to life for you.

Mauritius is stunning island! Pont Natural was great and worth it getting their! Even though I nearly died in the heat 😰. Yeah water and swimming didn’t help the snorkel I had on the breathing tube got stuck so no air was coming in so I panicked I’m never wearing them ones again. 😓. Thanks so much for watching 💪🏼

I wouldn’t have managed the bike ride either Ellie, with my asthma. You definitely made the right choice.
And gosh James that looks absolutely terrifying, reminds me again why we don’t snorkel out of our depth even with life jackets on!🙈 Glad you are ok. So lucky you had a life vest on and Ellie was there to help, you go girl! 💪🏼

I’m so glad I listened to my gut and turned round, always listen to your gut! James was absolutely knackered after, never seen him that knackered and he’s a trooper 💪🏼
Honestly you couldn’t write it. I think he got cramp because he had done that long bike ride and hadn’t drunk enough fluids. It was really scary seeing him drifting, the current was really strong. Still not sure how I dragged a fully grown man back to the boat 🤣 survival mode kicked in!

I’ve decided holidays are not for bikes 🤣 so glad I listened to my gut and turned back. Maybe James is trying to kill me off making me do all of these extreme sports 🤣 he’s a trooper I’ll give him that but I did spent the few hours worrying if he’d make it back!
Oh no James! I could feel the panic right along with you when you got the cramp. That must have been so scary. There’s no way in hell I would have made that bike ride either Ellie. I’m glad you both had a lovely holiday though. Also that seaweed face 🤣🤣

FEEL UR PAIN with cramp! Same thing happened to me, both legs at the same time, whilst holding a 360 camera, so left with one arm to stay afloat! That bike ride you did earlier in the video was most likely what triggered it.
Horrible isn’t it 😳 Yes it must have definitely been from the bike ride as I didn’t drink much fluid. Lesson definitely learnt 😆

Thank you, survival mode just kicked in but it was very scary to be honest. Going to keep our feet on the sea floor from now on I think 😳 blue bay is lovely and the snorkelling is really good but the current was wild that’s for sure.
Scary getting cramp - we are flying out tomorrow and can’t wait.

Lesson learnt don’t do a 15/17km bike ride, sweat your A*s of and then go swimming to get a cramp like me 😅 🤦🏼♂️
