I think the worst part... is realising just how widespread the lack of integrity is. These people are so willing to humiliate themselves, publicly, for money, and it's just insane to me.
I think one of the main problems is that there is already a generation for whom the boundaries between online and offline worlds are very blurry. I was born in the 90s and didn't have WiFi in my phone until high school. I feel like my generation is more grounded and can draw this line. For them it's... I don't even know how to call it but it seems to me like some people don't see the difference between being online and offline. I know some would just call them crazy and chronically online but I think a problem is deeper and by this lack of distinction something can break in people irreparably.
That's no different to hookers really though, and they've been around forever. The real mystery is why anyone would pay to watch people do this.
