Kind of like a Ferrari I guess - I'll never get my hands on one, so who cares how they handle. [edit] That's Yamaha dealers. All forms of moto, road, quads, outboard, jetski etc. sold at most of each. They have mtb posters though.
This video has definitely put the Yamaha into contention for my first EMTB. It’s a bit of a minefield this research. This ticks a lot of boxes for me. Hope you enjoy

Absolutely love mine. Yamaha Australia had a 1% finance offer with no deposit required. That made it a no-brainer decision. It’s a lot of bike for the money.
Did the exact same and I absolutely love it I told myself I'd still rip trails on my hardtail and I haven't touched the poor guy since everytime I get out on the yammy I can't keep the grin off my chin
Nice, I was wondering if they'd do the same deal here. But then I realised how things would escalate. Browsing for a new mtb, go home with two new YZs.
Great bike, but make sure to check your motor mounting screws from time to time. I lost one while riding, which resulted in a wrecked motor and frame. Warranty replacement was a bit difficult at first, but after increasing the pressure we got it sorted (took quite a few weeks). Apart from that it's an absolutely awesome bike to ride.
I am a 64 year old that has been riding dirt bikes and street his whole life mostly Yamaha. I own a Yamaha Moro Pro with over a thousand miles and the only problem was a loose motor mount bolt that I exchanged for a steel one. I am 5.8" and the large frame fits perfect but the biggest mistake Yamaha made was not making a XL frame option. If you are any taller than this bike is not for you. Installing the 180mm air chamber and cartridge damper is fairly inexpensive and transformed the ride especially down hill. I also went with Rental 40 mm riser bars. I use the bike for fun and to help keep me in shape and 50 miles on the battery is no problem so I see no need for a larger battery. There are allot of ebike and allot of choices in this price range especially post pandemic over inventory manufactures. Everyone likes to think of themselves as John Tomac on a mountain bike or Eli Tomac on a dirt bike. The Yamaha Moro line is made for the average rider that wants a reliable great all around preforming bike that is half the price of a new dirt bike.
i am so hyped and proud to have become a Yamaha dealer in Vermont, USA last month! I've been in the bicycle world for over 20yrs and prior worked on motorcycles. Along with owning a YZ250 in the early 90's. Yamaha just built the epitome cross of a MTB/dirt bike!!! Along with how you stated the PRICE!! And most of all to me a company that is devoted to a quality product for their customers!! Thanks so much for this get review! Your energy puts out the trueness of these bikes and helped learn more of how bullet proof these Yamaha's are!! Now I need to go ride mine!! 😍
@rutlandcitybikes9729 This is why I just gave u a call. I have loved my Moro Pro for the past 3 seasons but the 07 SE looks like such a sweet upgrade. Looking forward to getting one from you
Can't wait to see you this week to come and pick up either the '05 or the '07 from you. Hoping you have the '07 special edition because I'll definitely take that. Thank you for being the Yamaha dealer of Vermont!
That bike looks really smart. It makes me think if I could persuade my other half to get an e bike I could recommend that one and ride it when she is at work. I do like the Yamaha motor on my Haibike Nduro 6
I'm a big fan of my Moro 07 for the terrain I am riding including some big tech climbs, and rough downhills. The suspension is the star of the bike without a doubt, and once I had it dialed in the bike has felt amazing. I thought the 27.5" wheels would be a problem, not the case and if anything its made me better at choosing my lines. Yamaha threw in a Camelbak Hydration Pak with my purchase where there is no room for a water bottle . It's funny you mention not blowing a PW-X3 motor. I threw the Torque Sensor (Code 13 I believe?) in mine within a few months. Yamaha is currently sending a replacement motor that's covered under warranty which is going to be swapped at my local shop. The geometry numbers & the 27.5" wheels raise questions to everyone, but once you go get on this bike you won't even think of it. The display unit needs some work though...
Ordered one here in Australia found a dealer with 50% off srp! I was looking for the 30th Anniversary but all gone in an instant they said but yeah I don’t mind the black one still beautiful! Can’t wait to take it to my local trails. Tnx for the review! A+

Anyway I Just got one this moro07 and it’s freakin beast! I’m a 27.5 fanatic so it’s a no brainer for me not to love this monster…500w no problems! Steep hill plus rockies with long descents no problems too with stock tyres but I made it tubeless. Ate 1 bar in an hour n half riding up and down sussshh I love it just enough for my type of riding. Do I wish they put more like 640w battery? Yes but I don’t do long non stop rides like 4-6hrs. So 500w it’s already enough if you just want to get sweat for 2-3hrs a day or rides only during weekends with friends. I tried all the modes and it’s pretty cool. Mtb mode was fun but too much power on my liking so I stick to used only eco and standard modes I still want to feel those leg muscles crying esp on steep climbs. :) one day I’ll try those powerful modes if i feel lazy..😂 Thanks for the review all love from 🇦🇺 !!

Yamaha marketing strategy. “Moro - a caramel and nougat chocolate bar by Cadbury - sold in Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. Solid, sweet, tasty and full of energy (if you are into sugar). Apt name for an e-MTB.”

Hey, not putting anyone down, and this fellow is an excellent presenter, but you have to admit that embn is as much paid advertising as it is informative! Lol.😅
Hey Tony, we always declare our paid partnerships such as this one! Most importantly though, we have full control over what goes in them. So these are all the thoughts straight from the mind of Steve Jones, not scripted by anyone at Yamaha :)
Thank you for your reply to me embn. Don't get me wrong, I really like your team, and very well put together videos. Honestly, some of the best in the business. But yes, there is just a tiny bit of an impression of salesmanship, or at least... that's the way it appears. Bottom line for me is that I watch nearly all of your videos. Shalom ( peace ).
Same as all ebikes nowadays, over priced shit! This is a £9000 bike and people wonder why they get robbed....your getting robbed when you buy one! Why don't you review practically priced bikes for the normal person rather than kissing manufacturers arse!!!
I bought one on a demo deal. Better spec'd out than my Trek and a lot cheaper MAJOR downside: NO water bottle mounts and NO telemetry/data display As well, it came with a Maxxis Rekon on the rear. They could not have put a more useless tire on the bike IMO I've been playing around with the head set for better handling. Stay tuned on my channel From the Yamaha Dealership you get a 3 year warranty!
This is quite confusing, Yamaha a world renowned off-road (and more) company, the inventors of E-bike and with millions in available R&D and resources created a bike that in my honest opinion looks like a start-up company that has no idea over geometry and doesn't bring any innovation to EMTB, What I'm trying to say is this bike looks BASICand that a pity
I think this bike is aimed primarily at their motorcycle customer base and not cyclists. They are sold through the Yamaha motorcycle dealerships here in Oz.
@@andrewlovell9930 and that is a great way from Yamaha to bring this sport to the masses 👏 and for creating a well organized dealership type of strategy 🤝 Nevertheless, as bike design, innovation and attractiveness comes too, it doesn't compare to any of the USA and EU powerhouses. But hey! I belive that if you're going to do something do it right from the beginning! Yamaha should make sure that their name stands behind a competitive bike in this current market.
@@streddaz pinion made an Epinion over a year ago. They will be rolling out this year on some affiliated brands. It took the ebike to a completely different level!
@@toddhurdon2016 if reliable the Pinion MGU should be a game changer for full powered Ebikes, but getting it in the mainstream brands bikes maybe difficult. For one they have committed to a motor brand (and therefore mounting interface) already, plus SRAM and Shimano have a lot of pulling power for what gets fitted to larger volume bikes due to discounts for drivetrain/suspension/brake packages. Remove a drivetrain out of that deal and the discount won't be as favourable. Brose have a motor/gearbox unit in the works so at least there will be a second brand that will have the combined drivetrain in the market.

I was thinking "that's great" then I realised it weighs 24kg+ and it's just hit the market when all the rest are now selling sub 18kg bikes...
All the sub 18kg bikes have less torque and power. The Yamaha is full powered. The lightest bike with full power Is the Giant Trance X Advanced E+ Elite series which start at around 19kgs. (It also happens to have the same motor as the Yamaha.)
Does anyone actually need more than 50nm? lol
They should use MX wheels instead of 27.5 fully
There are benefits with both, it depends on what results you are looking for! But maybe they could add the option 🤔
keep up the good work! but.... meh 1080p in 2024? come on give your heads a shake it's a crime to all the hard work behind the scenes!
At 25 kilos this thing is a real pig.
Waiting for them to make a full power light classed E-bike.
@@movieman25155 Giant have already.
Nice bike but shame it's not mullet!!
500wh battery not mentioned as a drawback? Nice paid promotion.
Seems they know very little about water bottles
Wear a Camelbak (like Steve in the video) or a waist-pack, a water bottle is an ugly and archaic device.
Needs a bigger capacity battery
Hey, not putting anyone down, and this fellow is an excellent presenter, but you have to admit that embn is as much paid advertising as it is informative! Lol.😅
Lol. I thought you were about to GRILL them. Honestly sound like the nature of the business.
Lol. I like EMBN. But sometimes you just have to point out the obvious!😂😂😂
Low on cost on what world is this low on cost? In Aus it's 9k AUD. You can buy bikes for from established brands for half of that
I bought one on a demo deal. Better spec'd out than my Trek and a lot cheaper
MAJOR downside: NO water bottle mounts and NO telemetry/data display
As well, it came with a Maxxis Rekon on the rear. They could not have put a more useless tire on the bike IMO
I've been playing around with the head set for better handling. Stay tuned on my channel
From the Yamaha Dealership you get a 3 year warranty!
This is quite confusing, Yamaha a world renowned off-road (and more) company, the inventors of E-bike and with millions in available R&D and resources created a bike that in my honest opinion looks like a start-up company that has no idea over geometry and doesn't bring any innovation to EMTB,
What I'm trying to say is this bike looks BASICand that a pity
I think this bike is aimed primarily at their motorcycle customer base and not cyclists. They are sold through the Yamaha motorcycle dealerships here in Oz.
@@andrewlovell9930 and that is a great way from Yamaha to bring this sport to the masses 👏 and for creating a well organized dealership type of strategy 🤝
Nevertheless, as bike design, innovation and attractiveness comes too, it doesn't compare to any of the USA and EU powerhouses.
But hey! I belive that if you're going to do something do it right from the beginning!
Yamaha should make sure that their name stands behind a competitive bike in this current market.
It's a filthy job, but someone 's gotta do it😅
No pinion gear integrated motor…..therefore a dinosaur
Well you aren’t going to find a Pinion motor in a Yamaha bike. That said, if anyone could make a motor/gearbox unit, it’s Yamaha. Maybe in the future.
Brose have a motor/gearbox unit in the works so at least there will be a second brand that will have the combined drivetrain in the market.
affordable 6.4k?!?! i can buy a yamaha r6 for less lmao
£4150 you mean......Ha!
First!
🎉
It’s ugly and it doesn’t fit a water bottle, only has a 500wh battery, 27.5” wheels. Come on this things is outdated and overpriced
So now, You can be out and about and still be lazy and have problem with obesity 😅
to heavy, 24 kg !!
Everything was looking and sounding so good until the battery size, just not good enough in todays ebike world needs to be around 700Wh.
27.5 Wheels? That is SO 2018!
4,000.00
Are u freaking serious 😢😢😢💔💔💔💔💔💔 That's not affordable that's massive Price gouging big time.🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
