  • Antoine Walker was once one of the top players inn the NBA. A former allstar that seemed to find himself in situations some would call unlucky on and off the basketball court. What stunted his growth as a player with HOF talent.. Also what happened to make him blow $100 Million and go BROKE!

    walker and pierce combo was not going anywhere even in the weak east. walker was a shit player who shot less than 40% from the field and was a terribly inefficient outside shooter who had fallen in love with the 3 pointer. they had reached their peak and ainge was right to get rid of him. i don't get how this guy can say ainge was a bad gm when he rebuilt the celtics into a true championship caliber team that won the chip and was in contention for years. ainge also collected loads of draft picks without tanking and got the most out of one dimensional players like isaiah thomas without committing to them long term.

    Great story. Definitely a life-lesson for all pro athletes. Unfortunately, I still don't see this trend of going broke stopping any time soon. Athletes are still dropping $100k on a gold chain instead of a house that can get them $5-10k/month in rent for years to come; dropping $10-$20k/month in child-support instead of $4 on a box of condoms; paying family's/friend's bills each month or flexing at the club with a 70-person entourage...After seeing him drop a few G's each on custom 82 custom suits (one for every regular-season game), a new exotic car each month, paying for rooms/suites for his entourage during away-games, and dealing with Evelyn's bag-chasin a**, I'm surprised it took that long to go broke.

    Judging by the amount of times Walker changed teams, maybe it's possible that Ainge knew something we didn't?

  • @dogsareepic6197
    @dogsareepic6197 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I grew up watching the Celtics Antoine was definitely detrimental to Paul Pierce his growth. That’s why they had to get rid of him. He also was chucking up threes at horrible times. When he was younger he was awesome as he got older especially with Paul around it was difficult to watch.

    • @QuestionEverything562
      @QuestionEverything562 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, and Danny Ainge clearly understood that as well. Stunted Growth defended Antoine unfairly and with bias. Walker was an extremely inefficient and low IQ shot taker. He couldn't shoot threes, yet kept chucking them up because he was too fat and lazy to post up more often. He could have been better, sure, but he never had a HOF worthy temperament or discipline. He stunted his own growth and potential, nobody else did.

    I'm sure you have 100 ideas what to make, but it would be cool to make a video for youngsters, like what do you have to look after when you become a pro athlete or in general, how to handle things, we can see bad ways in these videos. I think you are a great "teacher", mainly showing bad examples to learn from
