27:00 this wooden bucket is probably a reference to a real war fought in medieval times between Bologna and Modena, which was called the War of the Bucket! The legend goes that it was started over Modena stealing a bucket from a Bolognese well. Sadly the truth is that the war started for normal reasons (Modena captured a castle which triggered the war), and the bucket was just taken as a trophy.

13:57 to answer your question (Spoilers below) This is the serious room. It's a room the narrator takes you to when you next start the game if you had "hacked" the game in anyway in the client console
Here are spoilers for things you have missed that you can go do if you want: Theres 3 endings I’ve tho that of that you haven’t done, with or without the bucket, one one you’ve not done without the bucket: There’s two where you climb on some chairs and do something after that, one in the first room of the office, and one in the first room of the mine control facility. There’s an ending where you can go back from the start of the game right before you push a button in the mind control facility (I think that’s where it is), and you didn’t do the tape recorder ending without the bucket.
The one for going back isn't at the mind control facility, you get there by stepping into the boss' office, then immediately stepping back before the doors close
Honestly, I never really got the love for there is no game. It’s really an inferior TSP, and it’s cute in a first game way, but that’s kind of it to me.
So if this is likely to be your last episode might i suggest 2 more things to try even if not recorded. in the room right after you leave your main office try to find a way to jump out the pure white window. And in the first area with all the cameras before the mind control facility find a way to fall below the platforms. i think that pretty much all you missed at least from what I found! you can do this both with and without the bucket!
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else suggest the Stanley Parable Demo, if you're looking for more Stanley content without spoilers. The only thing I have to say is it would still be fresh content.
Never got the vent/tape recorder ending without the bucket. Neither the bucket heaven ending and lock in office with bucket ending. Neither the glitch out of window, fall down mind control room, escape pod endings (all with and without the bucket). Neither chicken out on the cargo lift ending.
But he tried going back to the office with the bucket, for going to heaven, but it always locks itself up after. How can you open it up again? I'm genuinly asking since I don't know either lmao
Since you were especially invested in the mystery of 432, the worker singled out in various places as a problematic outlier and who cannot be entrusted with anything more than a pencil sharpener, here is some lore that is not explicitly confirmed in the game but the developer says is canon. 432 was self-aware enough to transcend the narrative and became the time-and-sliders entity who finishes the epilogue.
i absolutely beg we have a round up with this series as well so chat can give very very subtle hints. it’s too sad to stop playing without finding everything
the stanley parable originally was a pretty in-your-face meta-commentary about the relationship between players, characters, and narrative, and some of the quirks, frustrations, and contradictions that can arise from their interactions and conflicting desires. aka, "choices in games". the new content has some pretty good stuff in it about the nature and purpose of DLCs and sequels, and then seems to devolve into bucket-based absurdity. what is the meaning of the bucket? it doesn't seem to slot into the meta-narrative very neatly. a representation of how trivial sidequests/side characters can easily overwhelm the narrative if players place too much importance on them? a commentary on memes in games, made by forcing the bucket meme as hard as possible? is it supposed to be a joke about how most first-person games involve toting around a deadly weapon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen instead of a silly bucket? is the bucket to stanley as stanley is to us, ultimately an empty container that we then fill with characterization? or as stanley is to the narrator, for the same reason? is the bucket our own sense of irony, meant to absorb all meaning and decision-making within the story, to allow us to make choices we otherwise wouldn't because the bucket takes all the credit (and all the blame) for our actions? or is it all just a joke because, what, you expected more in-depth meta-commentary from our DLC so fuck you have a bunch of meaningless bucket nonsense instead? what is the bucket? i'm genuinely curious
the bucket is in the context of a sequel, so I think the joke is that "the stanley parable 2" is basically just a repeat of the first game, but adds unnecessary complexity and features that don't fit with the type of game it is (every new feature shown in the "stanley parable 2" demo ending is an unremarkable half unfinished feature that feels out of place) and the visual gag of carrying around an item like a first-person game just adds to it.

Day 12 of asking for TABS playthrough. Now, for a rather important message for oliver. I have watched your Minecraft, Rain World, and (partially) Subnautica playthroughs. And from all of that, I have seen the rarest property in a TH-camr- an intellectual curiosity. Something that is becoming harder and harder to find nowadays. So, from all that, I MUST make this recommendation to you. God knows whether you're even gonna see it, but here goes - I would sincerely like you to do a playthrough of Pokemon, a game that while at first may look rather simplistic, has far more hidden beneath it that I hope will tickle your fancy. Keep on thriving in this corner of the Internet. God knows it needs you.
@@AboutOliver Kinda depends on what you're looking for. Mainline Pokémon games are a spin on turn-based JRPGs, you just have (mostly) cute animals in your party instead of people. And they're usually not quite as long as most JRPGs. Firstly, if you're wanting to capture the gameplay footage, the easiest ones to do that for are the more recent games. This starts at Generation 8 (Sword/Shield/Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl) and ends at Gen. 9 (Scarlet/Violet). All of these games are on Switch. Technically, there are (or at least USED to be) capture contraptions for 3DS, so that would give you Gen. 6 (X/Y/Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire) and Gen. 7 (Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon). But any generation before that would probably require emulation, and I don't remember if you've said how you feel about that. Now, to opinions: If you want a decent story (which most mainline Pokémon games are not great at, imo), I'd recommend Gen. 5 (Black/White/Black 2/White 2; all on the DS system), Gen. 7 (though I have heard that the Ultra games aren't that great; haven't played them, though), or the Orre games (Pokémon Colosseum/Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness [GameCube]). I think the last two are spin-off games, technically, but they retain the core battle mechanics (for the most part). If you want more JRPG-heavy games, I'd recommend Gens 2 - 5 (Gold/Silver/Crystal [2, GameBoy Color]; Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen [3, GameBoy Advance]; Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HeartGold/SoulSilver [4, DS]. The later generations still have similar elements, but after the fifth gen., Game Freak (the series' producer) started really shifting towards mass marketability in the games. They toned down the difficulty and started flooding the games with a lot of extra things. The extras, admittedly, are optional, but you can tell that the quality of the rest of the game is watered down. Technically, they had started adding things like that a bit earlier, but I felt like it didn't really affect the game as a whole. Just my opinion, anyone's allowed to disagree (I happen to love Sun, Moon Sword, and Shield, but it's despite these things). And then there's Gen 9... It's more of an open-world take on Pokémon. There are people who like it. I'm not one of them. I don't outright hate it, but it just felt empty and boring to me. In general, I recommend getting the remakes over the originals (e.g. FireRed over Red, SoulSilver over Silver) because there's a lot of quality of life updates. But it also somewhat comes at the cost of dealing with the newer mechanics of the generation the remake is in. Which might be overwhelming, or it might not. Also, I don't recommend Gen 1 because it's a bit rough to go through. If you want to experience it as closely as possible without tearing your hair out, I'd recommend playing the remakes, FireRed or LeafGreen. Also, as you may know, most versions of a generation are essentially the same game. Generally, the only differences are which pokémon are available and who the main antagonist is. I wouldn't worry about missing out on much if you don't play both versions. Sometimes, there are special versions in a generation that combine some elements from both of the previous versions, but it's never as simple as the two versions squished together. They might have different story beats or characters, or additional content (it was before they could make DLC for the games). I've already referenced them above, but, for convenience: Crystal, Emerald, Platinum. Then there's the spin-off series, like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, but I've never played those, so dunno whether to recommend them. Sorry for the long-windedness. I've been playing Pokémon since I was a kid, starting with Red Version in the late '90s, so I know a lot about it and have some opinions. I tried to be as objective as possible and even notate when something I said was an opinion of mine. Hope this helps.
@@AboutOliver I would recommend heart gold / soul silver (they're the same game just choose the pokemon you like more on the cover) And if you want a spinoff, mystery dungeon explorers of sky

So when you say Pokemon, what game are you referring to? I'll put it on my backlog
Now, to opinions:
If you want a decent story (which most mainline Pokémon games are not great at, imo), I'd recommend Gen.
@@AboutOliver eh its not worth imo
Well, to be honest, I was thinking of either Heartgold or Pokemon Black. These ones are pretty famous for revolutionising Pokemon gameplay.
