What is a 4 Point Inspection and Who needs one?
4 Point Inspections cover the 4 key areas of a home that are prone to cause claims if they are not maintained properly:
- Roof
- HVAC
- Plumbing (including Water Heater)
- Electrical
Is a 4 Point Inspection needed for all homes? Not usually. Most insurance companies require a 4 Point Inspection once the home reaches a certain age. While most companies start looking for them around 30 years of age, some require them for homes as early as 20 years old.
