I've never seen a kid look EXACTLY like both of their parents. On some angles he looks like a mini-Paolo, and in other angles he looks like a mini-Maiko. Also, the cool walk he did after his haircut. The coolest kid in the world for sure 😎
Adorable! Wolfy did so well and was brave with the electric clippers. When my son got his first haircut 11 years ago, he was like a stone...just no expression whatsoever. He told me later that he figured if he didn't move or speak\, the electric clippers wouldn't 'get him', lol. Kids are hilarious :)
He looks great, good job, Wolfy! And LOL, walking all cool like that, makes me think of Wolfy as a teenager eventually, asking everyone to call him Wolf and being so suave that all the girls and boys scream over him. LOL

I like how Maiko and Paolo are patient and loving in Wolfy's education, showing sincere surprises and encouragement for each little growth of the kid while being understanding and gentle even when Wolfy is not acting as they expected (such as in the scene where Wolfy didn't get to say thank you for the barber eventually)
Haha I remember when enjoying our hairstylist as a kid. She had an entire bin full of toys and our favorite was the fuzzy finger puppets. My mother still sees the same stylist. I believe she's retired but still does hair for fulfilment. I should probably set up an appointment myself...😂

I just went through this, too! My son is 19-months-old and I bought an electric shaver, watched a dozen YT videos on how to cut boys' hair, and jumped in. I put on an iPad for my son while he was in his high chair, but he had a meltdown and was crying and putting his hand up to protect his head. So, the cut was unfinished and looked horrible. I then tried again today and cut more off. He was a bit more calm. Looks almost professional now. Took him to the grocery store and got a random compliment on his haircut!
As a little kid I once tried to cut my bangs before my aunt’s wedding because it looked uneven to me. You can easily figure out how that went. Some time later the comic strip For Better Or For Worse released a new strip where the youngest in the family in it did something similar and since it reminded my dad of what I did that strip became my dad’s favorite from the series.
We got haircuts for our kids when we visited Tokyo last November. It was the first haircut for our younger 3 year old. We loved how well they came out that we’re going to do it again when we go back to Tokyo this summer 😁
Kawaii!!! In SE US we have a tradition not to cut a child’s hair until they’re a year old. Done for luck but my son didn’t really have enough hair to cut until he was 1 anyway 😆

Growing up in Australia my haircuts as a kid consisted of mum doing either a buzz cut all over with the clippers or doing a bowl cut with a pair of scissors... dont think i actually paid for a haircut till i was 15, but only for a few years as it got so expensive, like $40+ just for a simple short mens cut, and this was like 15+ years ago!
another milestone is to actually saying thank you to the barber I guess... I learned it (to say thank you) after graduate high school and it feels like it take too long. It sucks to be shy boy 😭😭
